Chapter seven
Chapter 7
Myra's Pov
I stared as his expression turned from the grim face I thought it was to a monstrous look.
If I don't die down here today then my death day is quite far away.
"What did you just say?" He questioned taking heavy footsteps towards me.
"I didn't mean that...i.. please." I begged stuttering because I knew perfectly well that he would show me no mercy.
"I didn't ask what you mean by it. I asked, "What did you say?" He repeated and I crawled backwards as he got closer to me.
"Please Alpha Wilfred, my baby girl is watching this." I begged, throwing a glance at Armani who stood rooted to the spot like she was watching an episode of a horror movie unfold.
"Now another mistake, I said never to mention my name. And do you think I care about a girl you barred from your slutty lifestyle?" He questioned and my heart pricked me.
I wanted to scream at him that the girl he was insulting was his daughter but he should already know that anyways and besides, that would only bring up more pain instead of saving me.
It's like Wilfred wanted to completely erase from his memory that I and him ever had a thing and reminding him that he had a daughter wasn't going to help matters.
Wilfred finally closed on to me as my back hit the cold hard wall and I whimpered in pain.
Before I could try to get it again, he sent a slap across my face and I was sure that his finger would be left imprinted on my face.
"Mummy, why's the bad man hitting you?" Armani cried out grabbing something in her hands like if it were human, she would have squashed it's life out.
"Baby, please look away." I begged as tears slid down my eyes.
I was a mother and I couldn't bear the fact that my daughter had to be a witness to this scene
That would leave my girl in trauma and that's what I wanted to be the last thing that would ever happen.
I know the trauma I faced having to see my mum and dad murdered in cold blood and even if the trauma hadn't left me...my daughter made me forget sometimes.
I can't let her face this.
"Alpha please, even if you wish to murder me..don't do it in front of my girl. That's my last wish." I begged, shutting my eyes tightly.
"Landon, take the girl out." He finally said after looking at Armani for a while.
"Let go of me. Don't hurt my momma." She yelled, wriggling herself out of Landon's grasp and ran towards me, throwing herself into my arms as she sobbed.
"It's okay, baby." I assured patting her hair as I kissed her forehead.
Somehow I felt that should give her some strength as it also strengthened me to hold out a little while longer.
"Mum, please can't we just go back to the brothel? I left my fool back in the room." She said and I smiled in pain at the thought that my girl didn't know we were in grave danger and all she could think about was her doll that she had forgotten.
"Landon, I said take the girl out." Wilfred started fiercely glaring at Landon.
"Don't touch me. Y'all bad. Uncle, do you have a daughter?" Armani asked, referring to Wilfred.
Somehow her question made me anticipate his reply.
"Are you talking to me?" He questioned twitching his brow.
"Yes!" She replied with a defiant tone.
"What makes you think you could talk to me?" He asked again and she peered at home hike he kept his stone cold face.
"Maybe it's because you're extremely approachable." She replied and he turned sharply to look at her.
"Wilfred.... Wilfred?" We heard a female voice calling out as she approached the basement.
Before Wilfred would answer, the woman had already entered into the basement and she was none other than Sylva, his girlfriend.
"Baby..." He called and walked over to her snapping back to normal and I don't know if it was proper for me to feel jealous but I did feel jealous that she had such an effect on him.
I mean, he just let go of his eerie nature all because she was in the room.
"What are you doing down here? With these lowlifes...." She said, trailing off as she glared at me and my daughter.
"You're the one that's a low life." Armani retorted and I had to use my hands to cover her mouth.
"What did you say?" Sylvia asked with a shocked expression.
"You don't have the right to call me and my momma lowlifes...you're the one that is a low life. If she doesn't clean up your room, you'll rot in the dirt. If she doesn't make your dishes, you'll die of hunger. If she doesn't do a whole lot of things for you, you'll go berserk." Armani said and I had to turn to check if that was really my baby girl or someone else.
When did she turn that sharp mouthed? She was just acting like someone I knew and now...I remember.
She just reminded me of my mother.
"Armani, you don't say that to adults!" I scolded and she turned to stay at me with that pitiful look.
"She isn't an adult, she thinks and talks like a zygote." Armani shot back and I almost burst out laughing but had to compose myself because my girl was really in the moment.
Too bad she got this particular trait from my mother.
"How dare you? Anyways I don't care because you never had good parenting!" Sylvia snarled but Armani wasn't ready to back down yet.
"Well, if you had good parenting as well...you would know that you're not supposed to get into an argument with a child. You look stupid right now." Armani busted and damn!! She needed to stop talking.
"Armani, that's enough." I scolded but this kid wasn't even listening to me.
"Look momma, she looks deranged even to me." Armani said and despite the pains I was feeling, I arose from the floor and rushed over to her using my palm to cover my mouth preventing her from talking.
I stared at Sylvia and Wilfred with pleading eyes but I just found out that they were mortified by her words.
Maybe that's all that was needed anyways because I loved their dumbstruck expression.
Not only is Armani like my mum, she's definitely like her dad.
Too bad, Gene for Gene, trait for trait.
"You sent your daughter to insult me?" Sylvia yelled racing towards me in anger as she pulled my hair.
"Ouch, stop it. You're hurting me." I begged as I stared at Armani with tear filled eyes.
"Why would i? You bitch." She yelled as I could see the veins pop out of .
"Can you even hear yourself right now? How could I send my daughter to insult you when I haven't laid eyes on her since I got here." I asked but decided it was a bad idea to ask anyway as they would use every single word I utter against me.
"Are you talking back at me you moron?" She screamed and yes...I finally agreed with my daughter.
This girl really thinks like a zygote and is obviously mentally deranged.
"Wilfred, I don't get this!" She finally said getting off of me.
"What is it baby?" He questioned staring at her with a confused expression.
"Don't dare to baby me at this point! Why haven't you gotten rid of them yet? I don't know you to be this reluctant on a decision. They should both be dead by now." She whined and fear gripped me.
She was coaxing him to get rid of me and my daughter and considering what I've seen on the effect that she has on him, he might really concede to her.
"Please, Sylvia, you can't do this. My baby girl doesn't deserve to die like this. If anything, please just save her life." I begged.
"That means you're ready to die right?" She asked with a coy smile as a slight smirk on her face.
Now that you think of it, she's right!
Though I had suffered and everything...I wasn't willing to die yet.
If anything, I deserved to live.
"Landon, take them both to the woods. We execute them today." Wilfred finally said like he awakened from some vision and I could see the sly smile rise up on Sylvia's face.
This is where it ends, this is where I die.
But right now, that didn't hurt.
This is what hurts:
Been killed by a man that was once my lover.
Dying in loneliness and frustration.
And having to watch my baby girl died!
Why do I have to watch everyone I ever love die like this?
Firstly, my parents and now my girl.
"Just one last wish, kill me first. I don't want to watch her die. At least, do that for me for old times sake, Wilfred." I said, closing my eyes as I stayed resigned to fate.
