Chapter 90 Something Went Wrong

Chapter 90 Something Went Wrong
Zora came downstairs to the living room to inform Angela that she was done and she could go take her shower, but the living room was empty. She checked the kitchen, and it was empty too.

"Angela!" Zora called out to her as she returned to the living room, but she was met with silence. "Angela!" she called out again, this time a bit louder, and her gaze fell on the slightly opened balcony door.

Zora walked towards the balcony and opened the door. She peeped into the balcony, and it was empty.

"Angela!" Zora called out Angela's name louder again, and her gaze fell on something on the floor close to the railing.

Zora entered the balcony and walked towards what she had seen to check what it was. She bent down and realised it was Angela's necklace. She picked it up, holding the railing with one hand. She stood up and was about to leave, but paused as her eyes caught something. She went back to the railing to look again.

"OMG! Angela!" Zora cried after looking down from the balcony and seeing Angela on the ground next to someone she could not recognise.

Zora hurried her steps off the balcony and headed for the door. She soon ran towards the staircase and was soon on the ground floor. She headed in the direction of where she had seen Angela.

"Angela! Someone help!" Zora cried as she rushed to Angela's side.

Angela was lying on the floor unconscious next to Elena's motionless body.

"Help me, please!" Zora cried out louder, shaking Angela to wake up after feeling her pulse.

The security man came out of his room to the scene. He stood there and stared at Zora crying over two ladies.

"I will call 911," he said and retrieved his phone.

"911, what is your emergency?" came a lady's voice.

"Er, there are two ladies here unconscious. And there is blood," the man said.

"Where are you?" the lady asked.

"13th Street. Block A," the man replied and quickly added the rest of the address.

"Hold on, help is on the way," the lady said after asking a few more questions to assess the situation on the ground.

"Angela! Please wake up?" Zora cried, pulling Angela into her lap while sitting on the ground.

At the Moores' Estate, Bryce was in his study trying to get some work done in preparation for the premiere, which was now two days away. There was a knock on the door, and Marcus entered, making Bryce look in the direction of the door.

"What is Marcus?" Bryce asked, seeing how Marcus rushed in.

"Sir, something happened at 13th Street," Marcus said, and Bryce raised an eyebrow.

"How does that concern me?" Bryce asked.

"Sir, Ms Angela lives at Block A, at 13th Street," Marcus informed him, and suddenly Bryce was interested, standing to his feet.

"What happened?" Bryce asked, staring at Marcus, looking anxious.

"Sir, I am not sure, but the report reaching me has it that the police and an ambulance are heading in that direction," Marcus reported, and Bryce frowned.

"Marcus, is Angela involved?" Bryce asked.

"It appears so, sir," Marcus replied.

"Which hospital?" Bryce asked.

"I don't have that information yet, but I have asked my men to find out," Marcus said and quickly added to prevent Bryce from getting angry with him since he brought titbits of information. "I got the car ready so we can head for the hospital."

"If you don't know which hospital, where are we going?" Bryce asked, annoyed, but his heart was racing, knowing Angela could be involved.

Marcus's attention shifted to his pocket, and he retrieved his phone.

"Sir, I have the location of the hospital now," Marcus informed Bryce.

"Let's move," Bryce said and closed his laptop before exiting the study.

At Susan's home, Susan was watching the news channel. She had managed to force Bernard to take Eva as his woman. She had threatened to publish Bernad for publishing his affair with Eva on social media. Bernard had accepted responsibility for Eva and promised to marry her. Susan's phone rang, and she checked the caller ID. It was Eva.

"Hello Eva, how are you? I hope Bernard has called you," Susan said.

"Susan, something went wrong," Eva said, panicking on the call as her voice trembled.

"Calm down, Eva. What happened?" Susan asked with a frown.

"Erm, the people I sent to monitor Angela and Elena," Eva said, almost stammering. "They, they, erm, tried to do something, to, to, scare erm, Elena after visiting Angela," she said and Susan waited patiently for her to complete her statement, already suspecting something terrible had happened. "They, they shot Elena," she completed her statement.

"They what?" Susan exclaimed, standing to her feet.

"They, they shot Elena," Eva repeated.

"Is she okay?" Susan asked.

"No, Susan," Eva said, and Susan felt her question was dumb.

Elena has been shot; of course, she would not be okay.

"What is the situation now?" Susan asked, pacing up and down.

"Angela found Elena's body a few minutes after she was shot. My people couldn't get to Elena to assess her condition, but Angela also fainted. My men tried to move, and her friend came to the scene. As we speak, they have been transported in an ambulance, and the police are there," Eva reported.

"How many officers are there?" Susan asked.

"Two or three, I think," Eva replied.

"Confirm the number of officers over there, now," Susan asked.

"Two officers," Eva confirmed.

"Okay, calm down and keep a close eye on what is happening," Susan said, ending the call.

She quickly dialled a number and waited for the call to connect.

"Hello, I need your help," Susan said as soon as the call connected.

Meanwhile, Bryce and Marcus had just arrived at the hospital where Elena and Angela had been brought in.  Elena was in a body bag, and Angela was on a stretcher being pushed towards the emergency area.

Bryce entered the waiting area wearing a nose mask and cup. Marcus was heading towards the reception when his gaze fell on Zora.

"That is Ms Angela's friend," Marcus informed Bryce.

Bryce walked towards Zora and grabbed her by the arms.

"What happened to Angela?" Bryce asked, and Zora turned to look at who had held her by the arms, only to meet the gaze of Bryce.
