"Your red face," Angela said. "And the glow in your eyes and childish behaviour," She added. "Should I continue?" she asked.
"No need. You are in no condition to see and understand anything right now. You saw wrong," Zora said with a smile, and Angela shook her head.
At Diamond Corporation, Bernard was in his office, trying to distract himself with some work. His phone rang, drawing his attention to the device lying on his left. He stared at the lit-up phone screen, and it read unknown. He picked up the phone and answered the call.
"Hello," Bernard said with a frown.
"Hello Bernard, it's me, Eva," Eva said, and Bernard ended the call.
He placed the phone back on the table, and it began to ring again. He answered.
"Hello," Bernard greeted.
"Why did you hang up on me? We need to...." Eva began but Bernard ended the call before she could complete her statement.
The phone rang and it was again an unknown number. Bernard angrily picked up the phone and answered.
"Eva, I am at work. Please stop bothering me," Bernard said keeping his anger under control.
"Bernard, this is Susan, what did Eva do?" Susan asked from the other end of the call and Bernard frowned.
Susan was in the office so why would she call him with this unknown number?
"Nothing, why did you call?" Bernard said with a frown.
"The premiere comes off tomorrow, I just wanted to confirm what the arrangements are," Susan asked.
"Susan, you are well aware that Britney is the one handling this with Mr Don in the absence of Angela, so why are you asking me?" Bernard asked already suspecting Eva may have spoken to Susan about what happened between them.
"You are smart," Susan said. "I can never get anything past you," she added. "Anyway, I need to see you. It's a private matter. And it will be in your best interest if you see me. How does lunchtime sound?" she informed him.
"Is this about Eva?" Bernard asked.
"Yes," Susan replied. "You know she is like a sister to me," she added.
"Fine, I will see you during lunch," Bernard said reluctantly. "Anything else?" he asked.
"No, that will be..." Susan began and Bernard ended the call before she could complete her statement.
Back in Susan's office, she smiled and stared at her phone screen. She dialled Eva's number next.
"Hello Eva, don't worry. Everything will be sorted out by afternoon, Bernard will be yours," Susan said. "In the meantime, I want you to keep an eye on Bryce's sister, Elena. I think she is up to something," she added.
"Thank you, Susan," Eva appreciated. "I will do as requested," she added.
"Good," Susan said and ended the call.
Back at A&J Group, Angela was done with her orientation and was with the HR manager.
"That will be all for today," the HR manager said. "I need your social secret number and the other documents I requested," she said.
"Yes, please," Angela said and knew she would have to go to her foster parents or Bryce's place to get it.
Since going to Bryce's place was a no, she knew she would have to visit her parent's place to get the copy she kept at her parents.
"You are done for the day. We continue tomorrow and your work starts on Monday, fully," the HR manager said.
"Thank you," Angela appreciated.
It was a couple of minutes to 4 p.m. when Angela exited the HR's office and went to Zora's desk.
"I am done for the day. Should I wait for you? I mean, it's an hour to closing time," Angela said.
"You go home first. I will be meeting someone at 5. 30," Zora said staring at her wristwatch.
"He is a nice guy," Angela said and Zora frowned.
"Who?" Zora asked.
"Elorm," Angela replied and Zora rolled her eyes but her face flashed red.
"Oh please," Zora said. "It wouldn't be a bad idea, but he wants me to meet someone about something important," she said.
"Okay, I am taking the lead," Angela said and left the office with Zora walking her.
At 5.30 pm, Zora met with Monica at a nearby coffee shop.
"Thanks for coming," Elena appreciated.
"Anything for Elorm," Zora said. "Anyway, why do you want to see me," she asked.
"My name is Elena Moore. I am Bryce Moore's sister. I am here because of Ms Angela," Elena said and Zora just stared at her.
