ALPHA JACKSON
Jackson paced back & forth in the living room with a cell phone stuck to his ear trying to keep his anger from spilling over onto his beta who was currently complaining loudly in his ear about a couple of rowdy teenage boys in their pack who had been causing mischief again.
"Look Beta! I left you in charge and I'm fucking positive that you are more than capable of sorting out two trouble making teenage punks. Hell...I tell you what, throw their asses in the damn jails for a couple days. That'll teach those shits a lesson they won't soon forget!" Jackson raised his voice running his fingers through his hair in frustration.
"Hmm...yea I guess that would do the trick and give me some peace. But what about their parents? You know they'll raise mortal hell about their sweet baby boys being thrown in the slammer. I can already hear them now!" The beta replied as if he couldn't possibly deal with grumbling parents.
"Tell them they can be put right in there with their precious pups if it's some kinda big deal! You are following MY ORDERS! And I fucking dare them to defy me after all the trouble those two little assholes have caused! It's about time they learned to behave like the men they'll soon be and this makes the third motherfucking time they've caused issues within the pack and i've had my fill...it's time they get a real punishment, and every damn time it happens they'll be put it even longer. I have more important shit going on right now besides having to worry about this and you damn well know it Beta Markus! Now... go toss them in the cells and don't bother me again unless we're under attack!" Jackson hung up and shoved the phone inside his back pocket with a growl.
The alpha in him was mad as hell. It figured those boys would start showing out with all that was going on.
Jackson took a deep breath which didn't help at all, he knew he had to keep a level head or he'd make huge mistakes and that was the last thing he needed right now.
Ruby hadn't showed back up here at all and he had been hopeful that she would have come back by now, but of course she must have figured out that he was on her trail and was hiding herself from him.
That was ok....she couldn't keep him from finding her....her scent was like a flashing fluorescent beacon of light and all he'd have to do was follow it. She wasn't aware of the fact that an alpha lycan could find his mate regardless of where she was. All he needed was some bread crumbs....and she had left a few
He snatched up his keys from the kitchen countertop and stomped out the front door slamming it as he went. Jumping on his bike with one good kick the motor roared to life. He flew out of the drive down the small backroad to go find the woman who was destined to be his and by goddess he'd find her come hell or high water!
His little mate would have a banger of an ass whooping coming when he did find her. She'd be unable to sit on that well rounded little bottom of hers for a week or better by the time he got through with laying her over his knees....plus a few "other things" he would thoroughly enjoy doing to her as much as she herself would enjoy.
A wicked smile covered his perfectly structured face at the thought of his hand coming down firm & hard on those gorgeous ass cheeks.
Jackson had to control himself or he was gonna have to pull off the road. Just thinking about his female and that perfectly shaped body she possessed had his manhood reacting and nothing was more uncomfortable than a raging hard on while trying to ride his bike.
Shaking off the thoughts of her sublime shape he became serious. Time was of the essence and he should have already been on the road long ago if not for that damn call he'd received.
He could still smell her in the air. She had most definitely came this way so he knew for certain he was headed in the right direction.
Jackson had been traveling for what seemed like forever until her scent began to grow stronger in the air as he passed by some little cheap looking motel. He made a U turn in the middle of the road and pulled into the parking lot of the old run down business.
Parking his bike he shut off the engine and snarled his nose at the unsavory appearance of this place.
Never would he allow his mate to stay in a place like this! It looked like the type of establishment that would cater to all the local prostitutes and their customers….basically a place to go fuck for an hour or two.
His fists clenched and nose flared imagining that his female had actually stayed here.
He stormed into the outdated check in area where a young couple clung to each other while chatting with an older woman that he could plainly see & smell was not healthy at all. She looked run down & exhausted, Making him feel kinda bad for the old broad.
When he first walked in he was ready to tear into whomever he had to just to get answers because he knew damn well Ruby had been here....and judging by the smell of it... not too awfully long ago.
Hell why was he worrying, this woman may just tell him everything he needed to know. It really didn't matter if she did or not....he'd go through each one of these damn rooms until he found her.
The young couple turned to leave as the girl stared at him in awe. The boy yanked her arm pulling her along behind him while she gave Jackson a come hither look he completely ignored.
"Ma...may I help you sir?" The old sickly woman's words came out broken & shaky as if she knew exactly what and who he was.
"Yes. I'm looking for a woman that came to stay here. She's about 5 foot 6 or 7, long wavy reddish blonde hair, light green eyes, and extremely beautiful. If you have seen someone like what I have described I need her room number....Please." Jackson spoke in a deep serious alpha tone to bring home the importance of his question.
"Yes indeeď a woman you described came late last night...but she left like a little over two hours ago alpha....sir." The old lady answered respectfully. Anna had known about these creatures for many years since she herself had been mated to one and could always spot them....especially one of strong alpha blood.
Jackson was a bit taken aback that this old woman called him by this title but it didn't bother nor concern him at the present moment. Some humans knew of their kind....but not many. They also knew what could happen to them if they showed anything less than the utmost respect. Many homosapiens had disappeared off the face of the earth for disrespecting or running their mouths about lycans and he could see that this one already knew the penalties.
"I still need to see the room she stayed in." He had no sooner spoke the words than Anna grabbed the key and came out from behind the counter to escort the alpha to room #12.
Alpha Jackson was more than pleased with this old lady's respect for him. This old sickly human had more of it than some of his pack members and he appreciated that, which put him in a much better state of mind.
“Thank you Miss?” Jackson asked to get her name which was a high praise from a powerful alpha such as himself. Not many even gave a fuck to get some useless humans name. But for her show of respect it was a reward and she knew it.
“A….Anna is my name Alpha sir.” She smiled weakly, her eyes lighting up.
“Well Anna for your help today I may be able to offer you some help with your…..illness once I have in possession the mate I seek. Can you give me a bit more information about this lady that stayed here last night?” Jackson questioned and Anna's eyes filled with hope.
“Yes…..yes sir alpha! I'll tell you all I know. I spoke to her for a few minutes before she left today and she told me a bit of her plans.” Anna said, ready to tell the alpha every single detail she knew about Ruby.
Alpha Jackson smiled genuinely for the first time in days.
“Well then…. tell me all you know Miss Anna.” He patted her shoulder gently as she began spewing all Ruby had told her about going to visit her best friend Morgan that lived in a very rural area that was located right in this little town.
