Chapter 890 Cherry Wine

Chapter 890 Cherry Wine

After Lyanna finished singing, the tavern erupted in applause like never before.

Tiffany’s lips curved into a slight smile as she watched the radiant and beautiful Lyanna on stage, her face glowing with a bright smile.

“At first, I thought Lyanna and her group were just newbies,” Tiffany mused. “But from the looks of it now, they’re all quite the hidden talents.”

Freya, standing nearby, overheard Tiffany’s heartfelt comment and nodded enthusiastically in agreement.

“Yeah, Lyanna sings with such dedication and her voice is so captivating,” Freya added. Then, as if recalling something, she turned to Tiffany, “Her voice is really sexy.”

On this point, Tiffany and Freya were in complete agreement.

Lyanna stood up slowly, taking the microphone from its stand, and smiled warmly at the audience. “Thank you all for coming. As locals of Green City, we’re very happy to welcome all of you travelers.”

“We hope you can relax and enjoy the unique atmosphere of our little tavern tonight.”

As she spoke, Lyanna glanced at Marc, who was standing nearby. “Now, let’s welcome the final lead singer of our band, who will perform his original song ‘Hometown.’ Please give him a big round of applause.”

With that, Lyanna handed the microphone to Marc as she stepped off the stage.

Watching this scene, Tiffany couldn’t help but reminisce about her own youth. As she was lost in thought, Lyanna had already made her way down and noticed the group sitting in the corner.

Even though Tiffany and her friends were seated in a rather inconspicuous spot, their striking appearances naturally drew attention.

With just a casual glance, Lyanna spotted them. “Tiffany, Freya,” she called out, pulling Dave along with her, a bright smile on her face. “You guys really came.”

Tiffany and Freya exchanged glances before turning their attention to Lyanna.

“We promised we’d come check it out, and we wouldn’t break that promise without a good reason,” Tiffany explained first.

Freya nodded in agreement. “Exactly.”

Compared to Lyanna’s easygoing nature, Dave seemed a bit more reserved. He sat down slowly in an empty seat nearby, looking a bit shy as he scratched his head when he noticed Tiffany and Freya’s gazes.

“Welcome to our place,” Dave said, his words simple but with a kind tone.

Suddenly, Lyanna remembered something. She lightly slapped her forehead, a look of realization crossing her face. “Oh, I haven’t introduced you guys yet.”

“This tavern is actually owned by Dave. We’re just using it to perform. When he heard you were coming, he even brought some of his homemade cherry wine.”

“Please, make yourselves comfortable. I’ll go get it.”

Seeing Lyanna bustling about, Dave also made a move to get up and help, but Lyanna quickly instructed him, “Dave, you stay here and take care of our guests. Don’t slack off.”

Despite her words, Dave still looked awkward and unsure of what to do. Young people often have their quirks and flaws, which are insignificant in the grand scheme of things.

Leon cleared his throat gently and spoke first, “Dave, right? Just relax and sit down, no need to be so nervous.”

Tiffany glanced at Leon, appreciating his thoughtfulness.

Dave touched his nose and sat down again, feeling the weight of everyone’s eyes on him. Sensing the awkward atmosphere, he tried to start a conversation.

“So, you guys…”

At that moment, Freya turned to him with a hint of concern in her eyes. “Dave, do you have a girlfriend?”

As expected, Dave’s face turned beet red at Freya’s question. He swallowed hard and quickly shook his head. “N-no, I don’t.”

From the beginning, Tiffany and Freya had noticed Dave’s constant gaze on Lyanna. With Lyanna around, Dave didn’t seem as nervous. As someone who’d been through it, Tiffany wanted to lend a helping hand.

She chuckled and followed up on Freya’s question. “So, what do you think of Lyanna?”

Dave seemed completely flustered by the sudden questions, unsure of how to respond.

“If you like Lyanna, we can help,” Freya said with a mischievous wink, clearly enjoying the situation.

Just as Dave was about to pour his heart out, Lyanna returned with a jug of cherry wine. Marc had finished his song and naturally joined them.

Pouring the wine, Lyanna said, “Tiffany, Freya, you have to try this.”

Seeing Marc, Lyanna didn’t hesitate to ask him to help with pouring the wine. Albert and Leon exchanged knowing looks, subtly reminding their wives to be mindful of their words to avoid straining friendships.

Tiffany pursed her lips but said nothing more. She didn’t want to expose Dave’s feelings for Lyanna in front of everyone, nor did she know the exact nature of Marc and Lyanna’s relationship.

Setting aside her other thoughts, Tiffany picked up the cherry wine in front of her. One sip and all her worries seemed to vanish. Her eyes lit up with delight and admiration.

“How did you make this cherry wine?”

Freya followed suit, savoring the taste. “This is really good!”

“Dave, can we buy some to take home? I’d love to have some to enjoy later,” Freya asked.

Dave looked a bit bashful. He chuckled and quickly replied, “No need to buy it. I’ll bring more from home and send it to you guys.”
