Chapter 880: Press Conference
Chapter 880: Press Conference
Tiffany picked up her phone and dialed a number.
As soon as the call connected, she said, “I need you to find out who those people online are.”
“And as soon as you do, file a lawsuit against them. I want them to understand that spreading lies and rumors online comes with consequences.”
Her eyes narrowed, a sharp edge to her voice. She’d been monitoring the situation online for days, pinpointing the troublemakers with precision.
This time, she was determined to clean up the mess.
She took a deep breath, calming herself as she ended the call.
Just then, Leon’s call came through.
“Tiffany, come downstairs.”
She glanced at the time, realizing it was almost time.
Today was the day of the press conference, and she needed to see what was going on.
As the minutes ticked by, Tiffany got up and headed downstairs.
When she reached the bottom, she saw the car waiting outside.
Her eyes flickered with an unreadable emotion, but seeing Leon brought her a sense of calm.
She smiled slightly and walked over.
“Are you ready?”
Leon’s gentle voice greeted her as soon as she got in the car.
Tiffany nodded. “This isn’t a huge deal for me, but has your company figured out how to handle it?”
Leon nodded, his demeanor calm. “The company has pretty much sorted everything out. Today is about giving everyone an explanation.”
“They think the Cooper Group can’t manage a company. They’ll see soon enough.”
Hearing his confidence, Tiffany felt relieved. Leon never did anything unprepared. If he was this confident, he must have everything planned out.
She relaxed, closing her eyes to rest.
“Let’s show them what the Cooper Group is capable of.”
She was almost looking forward to it. With everything that had happened recently, it was time to clear things up. The press conference might even reveal who had been stirring the pot.
Leon continued working, glancing over at Tiffany when he noticed she was resting. His gaze softened, and he signaled the driver to keep the ride smooth.
He didn’t notice Tiffany’s slight smile as she pretended to sleep.
After a while, the car slowed to a stop, and Leon’s deep voice brought her back.
“Tiffany, we’re here.”
She opened her eyes and met Leon’s gaze.
They got out, avoiding the crowd by using the back entrance.
They headed to the lounge, where Alfonso and others were waiting.
There were a few people Tiffany didn’t recognize.
“Tiffany, these are our new partners,” Leon began introducing them.
At first, Tiffany didn’t understand, but when she learned who they were, she was surprised.
They were popular international stars looking to break into the domestic market.
“Many companies wanted to work with them,” one of the executives said, “but we chose the Cooper Group for something fresh.”
“We’re willing to help you through this tough time because it benefits us too.”
Tiffany smiled and thanked them. “We appreciate your support and hope for a successful partnership.”
Her eyes sparkled as she spoke.
Once everything was settled, Alfonso cleared his throat awkwardly.
“So, what do you need me to do today? Just clear things up?”
Tiffany looked at him, understanding immediately, then turned to Leon.
Leon’s eyes flashed with understanding.
He replied, “Announce your comeback. Say your health is better now.”
“We have a lot of work lined up for you. Don’t worry, we’ll make sure you get the best opportunities.”
Alfonso was momentarily stunned, then nodded gratefully. “Thank you, Mr. Cooper.”
His eyes shone with gratitude.
Just then, a staff member rushed in. “Mr. Cooper, the press conference is ready. The media is here. Should we go?”
Everyone looked towards the door.
Leon and Tiffany exchanged glances.
“I’ll go first. You all come out when it’s time,” Leon said.
With that, Tiffany and Alfonso prepared to follow.
Their expressions were serious. This was a big deal.
Under Tiffany’s watchful eye, Leon strode confidently onto the stage.
