Chapter 873 Leading People to Escape

Chapter 873 Leading People to Escape

“Not only do they know what you said, but they also know where you are. And that intermediary probably has a relative in the hospital, so they might find you soon.”

Tiffany said it all in one breath, her hands still busy as she grabbed Alfonso and signaled Jace to bring the wheelchair.

Jace understood the gravity of the situation and quickly added, “I didn’t expect this to happen, and I certainly didn’t expect it to happen so fast.”

“We need to prepare quickly. If we delay, who knows what will happen.”

Their expressions grew increasingly anxious, each of them looking more and more lost.

Tiffany noticed their panic, her eyes reflecting a strange mix of emotions.

Alfonso gritted his teeth and, with Jace’s help, sat in the wheelchair, which Jace promptly began to push.

Jace looked bewildered, glancing repeatedly at Tiffany. “Tiffany, where should we go now?”

“Anywhere but here. The farther away, the better. Come back later.”

“I’ll arrange a VIP room for you and get a couple of bodyguards to make sure no one disturbs you. You need to rest well, or who knows what might happen.”

Tiffany frowned, thinking for a moment before stopping in her tracks, deciding not to go with them.

Alfonso was the first to notice something was off. He turned back anxiously. “Tiffany, hurry up! Aren’t you coming with us?”

He frowned, looking worried.

Tiffany’s brow furrowed, and after a moment of silence, she shook her head. “If I go with you, they’ll know for sure you were here and just left. If they wait around, it won’t be good for you.”

“I’ll stay and handle this. You go now, before they find any clues and spread the word.”

Tiffany’s eyes were resolute as she spoke, urging them to leave.

“No way!” Alfonso’s face was full of concern, speaking decisively. “You’re a woman. What if something happens to you?”

But Tiffany’s expression was stern. “You need to go now, don’t waste any more time.”

Despite Alfonso’s reluctance, Jace continued to push him away.

As their figures grew distant, Tiffany took a deep breath and returned to the ward. Her expression was calm, though her mind was clearly racing.

Sure enough, it wasn’t long before the two people from earlier came rushing in, looking anxious and confused.

A little girl peeked in, followed by a man. When they saw Tiffany, their expressions changed.

“Where is he? Where’s Alfonso?”

The man, who seemed experienced, leaned in and asked, “Hi, is this Alfonso’s room? We’re friends of his. We heard he was in a car accident and came to see him. But he’s not here. Who are you?”

Tiffany remained calm, packing up her things. She turned with a smile. “Sorry, I don’t know you. My boyfriend was discharged today, and I’m just packing up.”

“Who’s Alfonso? The name sounds familiar. Is he a celebrity?”

Her eyes lit up as she spoke, looking genuinely curious.

The girl, initially curious, now looked at Tiffany with a strange expression, taking a step back with a forced smile. “Sorry, we’re relatives, but not very close. We don’t know if he’s here.”

“And even if he is, you can’t just meet a celebrity like that.”

With that, she left, the man hurrying after her.

Tiffany sighed in relief, peeking out to watch them leave. She could see the girl was clearly upset, even from behind.

From a distance, their voices carried back. “You said Alfonso was here. I paid you a lot of money, and now there’s no one here. Was that person even your relative, or did you bribe someone to fool me?”

The man, equally frustrated, chased after her. “Why would I lie? I came with you, didn’t I? Maybe my relative got the room number wrong. Let me check again.”

The girl, breathing heavily, softened slightly. “Fine, one last chance. If I don’t see Alfonso, you refund my money.”

With that, they hurried off.

Tiffany sighed deeply, muttering to herself, “If you really like someone, you shouldn’t do things like this.”

But no one was there to hear her. She collected herself, her emotions calming.

As time passed and it was clear they weren’t coming back, Tiffany began packing up the room. Alfonso definitely couldn’t return here; who knows what rumors might spread if he did.

Once everything was packed, Tiffany contacted Jace. “I suggest transferring hospitals. Once this news gets out, more people will come. It’s safer for everyone.”

Jace immediately agreed, and after arranging the new location and hospital, they ended the call.
