Once Tiffany and Leon finalized everything, they headed into the hospital room.
When they arrived, Jace was talking to Alfonso.
Hearing the noise, Jace looked up, his face showing a hint of guilt.
“Tiffany, Mr. Cooper,” he said, his head lowered, his tone helpless. “I’m really sorry about what happened today.”
“I didn’t expect this to happen. The driver suddenly had an accident while driving. Even though I reacted quickly, my leg and face got injured. I might need to rest for a bit.”
“I’ve caused you a lot of trouble and losses. I’m very sorry, but I don’t have much money right now to compensate you. Once I recover, I’ll do my best to earn more money to repay the losses I’ve caused.”
His face clearly showed genuine remorse.
Hearing this, Tiffany glanced at Leon.
Just one look, and she understood what Leon was thinking.
She smiled slightly and walked forward slowly.
“Now is not the time to talk about this. Focus on recovering so you can work later.”
“For the next few days, just rest here. Don’t worry about anything else. Get well first, and then you can deal with other matters.”
Alfonso looked seriously at the woman in front of him and nodded firmly after hearing this.
He smiled, his attitude resolute as he spoke. “Tiffany, don’t worry. I will follow your advice and take good care of myself.”
Then he looked at Leon. “Mr. Cooper, you can rest assured.”
After saying this, his expression became much more sincere.
Leon nodded and then looked away.
After chatting for a while, Leon said, “Since everything that needed handling has been dealt with, you stay here and rest well. If there’s nothing else, we’ll leave now.”
With that, Leon led Tiffany out.
But as they left, his expression became much more serious.
“Tiffany,” he began, hesitating.
Tiffany chuckled and nodded. “I see from your expression that you have something to handle, don’t you?”
Sure enough, he nodded. “We just resolved Zoey’s issue, and now Alfonso has problems. The online rumors are growing, and if we don’t handle it, it will have many repercussions.”
“Plus, many partnerships are at risk, so the partners’ attitudes aren’t great. I need to hurry over and see what’s going on to handle it.”
“I’ve already contacted the driver. He’ll come to pick you up. I need to go straight to the office.”
Seeing Leon’s tightly furrowed brows, Tiffany’s eyes curved with seriousness.
She understood clearly that he was very anxious to do something like this.
“Go handle your business first.”
Her voice was gentle. “Don’t feel bad about this. We’re on the same side when facing issues. If you have problems, I’ll try to help you.”
“And now, you’re facing a tough situation. I can’t help you directly, but I’ll support you as best as I can. Trust me, I don’t mind.”
Tiffany blinked and stood on her tiptoes to kiss Leon’s lips.
Even as she spoke, her eyes were full of smiles.
“Go quickly.”
Leon nodded in agreement.
Perhaps because he was really anxious, he didn’t delay any longer and left immediately after saying that.
Tiffany quietly waited by the roadside for the driver. She had received a call from the driver earlier today.
“Mrs. Cooper, there’s a bit of traffic. It might take some time to get there.”
She replied, “No problem. Call me when you’re close. I’ll walk around nearby.”
With that, she casually walked around, appearing calm.
But just then, she noticed a figure in the distance.
Initially, she didn’t think much of it, but she vaguely heard some conversation.
“Are you sure Alfonso is in this hospital? If not, I want my money back.”
“Of course! I happened to see the accident. I even have photos.”
“I showed you the photos earlier. There’s no reason to doubt me. If you still don’t believe me, I can take you to the hospital.”
“Alright, alright. I’ll trust you this time. But I need to see him today, or my money’s wasted!”
“Don’t worry. I have a relative in this hospital. I’ll make sure you see him!”
As she heard this, their voices reached Tiffany’s ears.
Her emotions became complicated upon hearing this.
Realizing what was happening, she watched the two people hurriedly head towards the hospital, and a bad feeling arose in her heart. She quickly headed back to the hospital, dialing Alfonso’s number on her phone.
But there was no response after calling.
At that moment, her anxiety grew.
If she guessed correctly, the person was likely a stalking fan who had paid for information and found their way here.
Thinking this, her face showed more urgency. Fortunately, having just left the hospital, she knew exactly which room Alfonso was in, so she wasn’t too panicked.
When she reached the room, Alfonso was talking to Jace.
Seeing Tiffany return, everyone was surprised.
“Tiffany, why are you back?”
Tiffany was slightly out of breath, still trying to catch her breath.
But in this situation, she hurriedly walked in.
“I called you, but you didn’t answer.”
She frowned, looking at Alfonso in confusion.
Alfonso shook his head. “Tiffany, my phone broke in the accident. I can’t answer any calls. I can only communicate through Jace and my assistant.”
Seeing Alfonso’s confused look, Tiffany slapped her forehead, feeling a bit frustrated.
“Sorry, I forgot about that possibility.”
“Tiffany, is there a problem? You can tell us directly,” Jace couldn’t help but ask.
Tiffany shook her head. “I don’t have time to explain everything now. Get Alfonso up and into a wheelchair. We need to leave.”
“When I was outside, I overheard someone coming this way. It looks like a stalking fan bought your schedule somehow.”
