Chapter 691 Drunken Truth

Chapter 691 Drunken Truth

Victoria pouted at Paxon: "Why would I miss you? I'm as free as can be on my own."

She had freedom, but her heart felt empty.

She had always thought Paxon was annoying, following her around all day telling her what to do.

It wasn't until after he left that she realized sometimes she couldn't do without him.

When she was alone, she would always recall the times they spent together.

Seeing other couples together, she would think back to the days when Paxon was around.

Hearing this, Paxon smiled and ruffled her hair: "Okay, even when I come back, I'll give you freedom. I won't boss you around like before, alright?"

"You're not allowed to stop me from drinking today. We haven't hung out in so long, I'm definitely getting totally wasted."

Paxon looked at her with a somewhat suggestive gaze: "You can drink as much as you want, I'll take you home afterward."

With those words, Victoria's lips curved up smugly.

No matter where she was, as long as Paxon was there, she didn't have to worry about safety.

She could do whatever she wanted.

Everyone there had been friends since childhood, so naturally things got wild when they got together.

Victoria was the youngest among these kids.

Everyone doted on her.

They either gave her gifts or took care of her food and drinks.

Until finally, she was so drunk she couldn't get up from the couch.

Paxon bent down and scooped her into his arms, coaxing softly: "Be good, I'll take you home."

Hearing this voice and feeling this familiar scent, Victoria immediately wrapped her arms around Paxon's neck.

She nuzzled her face against him, mumbling: "I want to go to your place, I want to play bathroom games with you again, and I want kisses."

At these words, everyone present was stunned.

Ingrid smiled mischievously: "Paxon, still trying to deny it? You two already got together last time, didn't you?"

Paxon glared at her: "You ask too many questions."

"I think you've got a guilty conscience. If Mr. Cross finds out you're already living with Victoria, he'll beat you so hard you'll be crawling on the ground, haha."

The others joined in teasing him too.

Not only did Paxon not get angry, his lips curved into a smile: "Don't talk nonsense, nothing happened. We're very innocent."

Ingrid joked: "You've already done bathroom play, what else don't we know about?"

As everyone got more and more outrageous, Paxon stopped paying attention and left carrying Victoria.

Once in the car, Victoria kept hugging Paxon and wouldn't let go.

Her warm, moist lips rubbed against his chest, like a clingy little kitten.

It drove Paxon wild with desire.

The car finally made it home, and Paxon carried Victoria into the bedroom.

Just as he turned to go to the bathroom to run her a bath, her soft body immediately hugged him from behind.

Her voice was soft and carried a hint of grievance: "Paxon don't go, Victoria will listen to you from now on, okay?"

Hearing this, Paxon's body stiffened.

This was something Victoria used to say to him often as a child. Every time he visited her house, she would hug him and not let him leave.

But ever since she grew up, she never said it again.

Instead, she seemed to find him annoying every time.

Paxon turned around, held Victoria in his arms, lowered his head to kiss her lips, his voice slightly hoarse.

"I'll never leave again, okay?"

Victoria's eyes reddened, and she pouted pitifully, "You can't lie to me. Three years ago you left and said you'd contact me every day, but you ignored me. I waited up late every night for your call."

Though she spoke unclearly, Paxon still understood.

His heart ached at that moment.

He thought she hated him, so he chose to give them both space to grow.

But he never expected that while he was thinking of his girl, she was thinking of him too.

Paxon didn't know how to describe his feelings at this moment.

There was excitement that Victoria depended on him, and also heartache for neglecting her these three years.

He cupped her face in both hands and lowered his head to kiss her eyes: "I'm sorry, it's my fault. I'll never leave you again."

Tears rolled in Victoria's eyes as she looked at Paxon drunkenly.

"You have to keep your word, or I'll bite you to death."

She leaned on Paxon's shoulder and bit down hard.

With a smile on her lips, she slowly closed her eyes.

Looking at her flushed cheeks, Paxon couldn't help but pinch them.

His eyes gazed deeply at her: "Victoria, will you marry me?"

Victoria was woken up by a phone ringing.

She squinted and answered. Ingrid's voice came through.

"My dear Victoria, how did the battle go with Paxon last night?"

Hearing this, Victoria finally realized she had gotten drunk last night.

It seemed Paxon had brought her home.

Having learned from the last drunken mistake, Victoria immediately threw off the covers to check.

The dress she had been wearing was long gone.

In its place was a black silk slip nightgown.

She froze completely.

Had she and Paxon slept together again?

After a long silence from her, Ingrid laughed wickedly: "What's wrong, did Paxon wear you out so much you can't even talk? How intense was it last night that you screamed so loud your voice is hoarse?"

Victoria quickly explained: "Is there any chance we were just having a pure chat under the covers?"

"Yeah right, who are you trying to fool? Lucky I recorded evidence yesterday, wait, I'll send it to you right now."

Soon, Ingrid's Facebook message came through.

When she opened it, Victoria was completely shocked.

In the video, she had her arms around Paxon's neck, saying she wanted to go home and play bathroom games with him.

Seeing this, Victoria wanted to crawl into a hole.

There were so many people around.

And she said that kind of thing - even an idiot would know what had happened between them.

This time, no explanation could clear things up.

She hit her head in frustration: "Ingrid, can you please not tell your parents about this? I haven't figured out how to face them yet."

"So you don't want to marry Paxon?"

"No, I'm just not ready yet."

She and Paxon had feelings for each other, but she felt that precisely because they were too familiar, it lacked that bit of passion.

She felt marriage needed passion, not just going with the flow.

After hanging up with Ingrid, Victoria climbed out of bed.

After washing up, she came downstairs barefoot in her slip nightgown.

Paxon immediately walked over, pulled her into his arms, and kissed her forehead.

He smiled and said: "Baby, close your eyes, I have a surprise for you."
