Maddox’s P.O.V.
After picking up Remy’s things up off the floor for her, I stand back up and noticed that she wasn’t in her state of shock anymore instead she was walking up to the couple on the dance floor and to my disbelief she slapped the guy so hard that the sound vibrated off the walls and grabbed everyone who is in the bar their attention. I walked up to where she is and just as I get into a hearing range where I could hear everything, I stopped in my tracks and grabbed my chest because what was said just broke my heart.
“HOW DARE YOU TRY AND BRING ANOTHER GIRL HOME WITH YOU GILBERT, AFTER YOU JUST HAD SEX IN THE BREAK ROOM WITH ME AND THEN I AGREED TO BE YOUR GIRLFRIEND!!! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME!!!
I don’t believe what I just heard I just got done taking her out on a date, she comes back and has sex with gilbert in the break room, GILBERT!!! Then she agrees to be his girlfriend!!! GILBERT’S GIRLFRIEND, HIS GIRLFRIEND!!! Finally, pulling myself together I walk my way up to them.
“Remy is that true?” I asked her with the sound of heartbreak in my throat.
“Well…..” She starts to say then breaks her words.
“I was just showing you what kind of man that you decided to go out with Remy!”
“Remy it isn’t like that I was rejecting her when you seen me with her.”
“You know what I knew I was too damaged to find a decent guy, but I didn’t think I was this damage to go out with a player. I am not good enough for anyone not even trash!!” She says as she turns to leave and bumps into my chest. “Maddox?”
“REMY I DON’T EVER WANT TO HEAR YOU TALK ABOUT YOURSELF LIKE THAT AGAIN! YOU ARE GOOD ENOUGH FOR A DECIET GUY, YOU ARE GOOD ENOGUH FOR ME!!! I AM IN LOVE WITH YOU REMY!!! IF YOU GIVE ME A CHANCE YOU WILL SEE THAT I AM NOT LIKE THE OTHERS!!!”
“Bu….t….Maddox your wrong, first I was controlled by Aston who was also possessive, then Donavon who abandons me while I am pregnant with his child, then there is Gio, and don’t forget Orville!!! CAN’T YOU SEE TRASH ATTRACTS TRASH!!!” She yells in my face before walking away from me.
“REMY!!! YOU ARE NOT TRASH, NIAVE, PURE YES BUT NOT TRASH!!! PLEASE REMY STOP BERATING YOURSELF, YOU ARE THE MOST KIND HEARTED, LOVING PERSON THAT I KNOW AND I WANT TO MAKE YOU HAPPY AND ONLYY BE WITH YOU!!!” It was I who yelled into her face this time and maybe it finally got through to her because the next thing that I knew she was wrapping her arms around my neck.
“I’m sorry Maddox, really I am. I thought that all the signs that I was noticing from you was what I wanted to see or feel. I guess what I am trying to say is that I am in love with you too.” I was so happy that I picked her up so that we are at the same height and I kissed her with all the love that I am feeling for her. We didn’t break the kiss until we heard an angry voice yell at us, or her.
“YOU ACCUSED ME OF CHEATING AND HERE YOU ARE CHEATING WITH ANOTHER GUY RIGHT IN FRONT ME, NOT ONLY THAT BUT CONFESSING YOUR LOVE FOR EACH OTHER AS WELL!!! YOU HAVE SOME NERVE!!! I really did like you a lot.” He said to her and started to walk away.
“I DIDN’T CHEAT ON YOU, THAT SLAP ACROSS YOUR FACE AND YOU BEING CAUGHT SHOULD HAVE IMPLIED TO YOU THAT WE WERE THROUGH!!!” She said as she takes my hand and walks away. I stop her and asked.
“Remy will you be my girlfriend?”
“Yes, Maddox I will love to be your girlfriend.” She says and I bend down to kiss her when Donavon comes storming over to us.
“I WON’T ALLOW IT!!! YOU ARE THE MOTHER OF MY CHILD YOU WIILL NOT BE WITH NO OTHER MAN BUT ME AND LIKE HELL I WILL LET ANOTHER MAN RAISE MY KID!!!” he says as he takes big strides over to us stomping the whole way. This ended up causing to get Aston’s attention as well and he comes down from his office to see what is happening. Stopping in front of us where he is face to face with me, he has the look of a fighter in his eyes. (He thinks that I will be scared of him, he thinks that I will back down! Hell no, I will not give up on having the girl that I love by my side.
“YOU REALLY THINK THAT I AM SCARED OF YOU DONAVON! I WILL NOT THROW AWAY WHAT REMY AND I HAVE LIKE YOU DID! I WILL KILL YOU IF YOU TRY AND STOP US, STOP HER FROM BEING HAPPY! YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE AND YOU DECIDED TO BE PLAYED WITH BY YOUR EX NSTEAD OF FIGHTING FOR REMY! I AM WILLING TO FIGHT FOR HER EVEN IF IT KILLS ME!!!” I say to him as I walk away from him holding onto her hand tightly. (I wouldn’t put it pass him to try and hank her from me as I walked by) To my surprise he didn’t he just looked on at us with shock, anger, confusion and most of all defeat. I then walked up to Jess.
“Hey, Jess you won’t have a problem with us leaving early, do you?”
“No, not at all!” She said with a smile on her face. “Go ahead and enjoy your new found happiness!” She says as she grabs Russell around the waist. “I know I will!” She said with a huge smile on her face as she looks up at him.
“OH MY GOD JESS, YOU AND RUSSELL!!! WHEN?”
“He asked me tonight after our date.” She said giving Russell a kiss on the cheek.
“Congratulations you too I am so happy for you!” Remy said excitedly.
“See sis, we both can be happy, our past doesn’t have to define us.” Just as he finishes saying this Remy gets a call on her phone.
“Sorry I should take this.” She says as she walks away from them pulling me along.
“Rem, what is it?”
“It is Gio!” She says looking guilty.
“Go ahead answer it, I am right here.” I say to her caressing her cheek. She nods as she touches the accept button.
\[Remy, you ok. It took you a while to answer.\] He asked her. To my surprise and happiness, she has put the phone on speaker so I can hear his end of the conversation as well.
\[Sorry Gio. There is something that I should tell you. I have a boyfriend. I am so sorry to do this to you, I just figured out how I felt about him, I didn’t realize until tonight.\] She said with guilt in her voice.
\[It’s Maddox? Isn’t it?\]
\[Yes, it is. How do you know?\]
\[Everyone could tell that he was in love with you, but you!\] He said which go the three of us laughing.
