Chapter 87 LXXXVII.
Chapter 87 LXXXVII.
I hadn't seen Trisha since she ran out of school crying. I'd tried calling her several times, but she hadn't answered any of my calls.
I couldn't blame her. After what happened in the hallway, it was understandable for her to break down. I mean she was betrayed by the very friend she had literally worshipped all her life. That was heartbreaking.
Everyone had already started calling her delusional and obsessed. Some people were even laughing about what had happened, as though watching her break down had been some kind of entertainment.
And it was all because of Izzy. I was beginning to hate that girl more and more. Unfortunately, I still had to spend the afternoon with her.
We were supposed to start working on our project today, and since my house was closer to campus, we'd agreed to work there.
I was already regretting that decision because Izzy decided that she was going to ride with me instead of taking her own car. I couldn't say no because she kind of have a valid reason.
"Nice car." She said when we got to the parking lot.
"Thanks." I said stiffly.
"I bet you'll look really good driving such a fancy car." She purred biting her lips at me.
I glanced at her in exaperation. "Can you go five minutes without flirting with me?"
She grinned. "No I don't think so. You're too cute."
I sighed and climbed into the car to which she followed suit. I started the engine ignoring her as she kept talking and talking. Had she been this much of a talkative?
She teased me the entire ride home. Every time I tried to concentrate on the road, she'd say something that made me want to roll my eyes. She's lucky that I didn't end up crashing my own car out of frustration.
Thankfully, my father wasn't home when we arrived. The last thing I needed was for him to see me bringing a girl home, especially someone like Izzy and start teasing me. Considering how playful he was, he would definitely have no problem teasing me in front of Izzy.
"Your house is nice," she said as we both stepped into the posh living room. It's all thanks to my Dad's money though.
"Thanks." I replied feeling at least a little sense of pride. It was the only sincere words I have heard her say to me in a while.
She looked around a bit at the paintings on the wall before turning toward me and smiling mischievously. "So, where's your room?"
I frowned in confusion. "Why are you asking me that?"
She shrugged like her question was no big deal. "Isn't that where we're going to carry on with our project?"
I rolled my eyes in annoyance. "No, we're doing our project downstairs."
She pouted sadly, and I pushed aside the thought that kept pestering me to give in to her cuteness. How could someone so evil be so cute?
"You're no fun." She said and went over to the couch, flopping down on it like she owns the place.
Ignoring her completely, I walked towards her and took out my notebooks so we can start. "Let's get this over with."
She smirked at me in amusement. "Why are you acting like spending time with me is torture."
I gave her a deadpan look. Spending time with is is toture for me Izzy. You're the last person I want to be stuck with!"
She placed a hand over her chest dramatically. "That hurts, even though I don't really believe you. I mean, the way you responded to my kiss doesn't seem like you don't like my company."
I glared at her. Why did she have to remind me of that kiss? I was pushing it out of my mind just fine!
"Can we focus on what we are doing and forget about any other thing that isn't related to the project? I want to get this over with so you can leave!"
My words came out harsher than I intended, and this time, Izzy lost her smile as she stared at me like I just peed on her puppy. "You don't have to be so aggressive dude. Chill!"
Her words made me snapped unintentional. "You see this is what I am talking about! You dismiss people's feelings like they mean nothing to you. You play games with people and treat them like toys, even Trisha who adored you for years became of victim to your sadistic nature. That's not nice Izzy. I admit, I may be slightly attracted to you, but you as a person disgusts me."
She scoffed, all traces of amusement and enjoyment gone from her expression. "Oh stop acting self righteous. I've been with a lot of guys and I know what you all want. You just want to fuck and leave. Don't pretend like you like me or shit, because I don't believe that. As for Trisha, are you defending her because you like her, or you're just looking for more reason to pretend to hate me when in fact all you want is my pussy and hers."
I was stunned by her outbursts. I mean, I didn't expect her to jump to snap like that. What does she mean? Does she really thing I want to have sex with her? I genuinely liked her, and I made it clear at the club in Paris when I wanted to make her my girlfriend before we had sex.
I sighed and decided to soften my voice a little. Maybe I had misunderstood her all these time. "Listen Izzy, I don't want to have sex with you and leave. I don't know who might have done that to you, but I am different. I would never hurt you Izzy. I meant what I said back in Paris, I wanted to get to know the real you, but if what you're showing me is the real you right now, then I don't think I'll ever want to be involved with you. Not even as sex buddies."
She scoffed and stood up, "so you'll prefer the four eyes Trisha?"
I frowned at her words. "I never said that. Just because I defended her doesn't mean I have feelings for her. Trisha is my friend and I think you have to apologize to her."
She scoffed again, "if I had known coming here would just involve you lecturing me, I never would have wasted my time." She stood up in anger, "I'm going home."
I was stunned as I watched her walked out of the house leaving me wondering if I had gone too far with my outburst.
Oh whatever! This is for the best.
