Chapter 79 LXXIX.

Chapter 79 LXXIX.
Trisha's POV

I'll say it time and again that love sucks big time.

Sometimes I honestly wish I never got to know that feeling called love. I mean, even though I got to experience falling in love, I was hoping it won't be for my best friend for years.

I've been in love with Izzy for as long as I can remember. But I knew more than anyone else that a love between the two of us can never be possible.

First of all, Izzy is as straight as anyone can be. She's not homophobic. I mean she has two Dad's but still I'm always scared to tell her that I'm a lesbian, because I'm afriad she might caught on to the fact that I've been in love with her for so long.

It hurts so much seeing her hurting over someone who doesn't care about her. Someone who doesn't even deserve her, when I'm just right here literally begging for her love. But I know that it's never going to happen, not between me and Izzy.

I know that I'll always remain Trisha the supporting friend. Even though I wanted so much to be much more than that.

Now, what scares me more than Izzy finding out about my love for her was George. Izzy has only ever told me that she has a twin. She hated people knowing about Isabella, and she only told that secret to the people she trusts.

So why did she tell George? I thought they didn't like each other? So why did she end up falling asleep on his shoulder?

I was suddenly very scared. People who hated each other usually ended up falling in love with each other. What if that's the case with Izzy and George? I wanted them to get along, but now I'm not so sure. If it means George stealing Izzy away from me, then it's better they remain enemies.

I have never been more thankful that Izzy was going away on a trip for a while. That would keep her away from George for a long time. But what if she ends up finding someone else on this trip?

I shook my head to get rid of my stupid thoughts. Me and Izzy can never happen. I shouldn't be acting like a possessive girlfriend.

We finally arrived at her house, and she was still fast asleep. I parked the car and stared at Izzy's face.

God she was beautiful. I've always been obsessed with her green eyes, and it's sad that they were closed right now. I mean, I even have dozen pictures of her all over my walls in my room at home. She doesn't know it yet, but she's the most important person to me in this world. Even more important than my parent. My greatest fear is losing her.

Even when she made me promise that no one would ever replace her, I already knew in my heart that no one could ever take her place. I doubt I could ever love anyone else the same way I love her.

I tapped her shoulder gently. "Izzy, we are at your house." She mumbled but didn't wake up. I smiled at how cute she looks. When she's awake, I've never got the courage to look at her like this. This was an opportunity of a lifetime.

Her eyes fluttered open staring right at mine. I gulped when those emerald jewels connected with mine. My heartbeat pounded rapidly in my chest, and it took all in me not to touch her face, especially when she smiled at me.

When would she understand that I forget my own freaking name when she smiles at me like that? Loving her really is pure torture, but I love this torture anyway.

"Hi," she mumbled in a slur.

I grinned. "Hi, you're drunk Izzy. Do you think you can walk into your house? We're at your house."

She sat up and stared out the car window. "Oh, how did I get home so fast? Where's Ethan?"

My smile fell at the mention of his name. She was longing for a guy who doesn't deserve her, and here I am literally begging for her love.

It's really sad.

"We already left the party Izzy. Ethan is still there."

Her shoulder slumped and she pouted. "I still can't believe he rejected me. He chose that bitchy Raine over me. I'm so much better!"

I couldn't help chuckling. "Yes you are Izzy. You're beautiful and Ethan doesn't deserve you. I'm sure you'll find someone better someday." I wish that someone would be me though.

She looked at me with furrowed brows. "Why do you sound so much like George right now? He's rubbing off on you isn't he?"

I frowned wondering how I sounded like George. "Uh... I don't think I..."

"He wants to steal you from me Trish. You've never been friends with anyone except me, and I think he likes you. He even came to the party because of you."

I raised a stunned brow. "First of all, I already promised you that no one can take your place in my life and I'll never love anyone the way I love you. But what do you mean George came to the party because of me?"

She completely dodged the question. "I'm sleepy, let's go in."

She climbed out of the car and I followed suite and walked behind her. Even though I had a lot of questions, I just decided to let it go. She was staggering a bit and I wanted to make sure she doesn't fall flat on her face.

The house was empty thankfully. It seems like Izzy's parents had gone on a night date or something. Izzy headed straight to her room, and at some point I had to hold on to her because she was missing her steps.

Just being this close to her makes me happy. God, I wish everyday that one day, she would see just how much I love her and consider being with me, but unfortunately, that can only remain a wish.

We got to her room and Izzy wasted no time in lying on the bed. "Damn, I'm so sleepy."

I helped her take off her shoes and pulled the blanket over her. Then I knelt down beside her bed and stared at her face. The most beautiful face I've ever been blessed to see.

"You're so beautiful Izzy." I whispered to her sleeping form, but to my shock, she opened her eyes and stared at me. My eyes widened in panic. "You... You're still awake?"

She smiled, eyes dazed. "You called me beautiful."

I gulped and summon up courage to reply. "I called you beautiful because you're beautiful Izzy." My hand brush her cheek lovingly. "You're so beautiful."

Izzy's hand came on my face and she brushed it against my lips. "You're really beautiful too Trish." I didn't get a chance to let her words sink in because she leaned forward and connected our lips.

My eyes widened and my heart pounded in my chest. Firework exploded in my stomach and every nerve in my body was tingling.

This....

This is my first kiss, and it's with Izzy. Just as I've always wanted. Just as I've always wished for. This feels like a dream come true for me.

I kissed her back, and she let out a whimper that made blood rush to my ears. I could hear the sound of my own heartbeat threatening to pound itself out of my chest.

Her lips was so soft, and her strawberry scent seems to heightened. The kiss was slow and passionate, and it brought in all the emotions I've always tried so much to hide.

We pulled away for breath after what felt like an eternity, and I was too scared to open my eyes in case this turns out to be a dream.

When I finally did, Izzy already fell asleep. "Izzy," I called but there was no answer. She was breathing deeply which means she was now far gone in dream land.

I smiled and touched my lips. Hers were red and plumped from our kissing.

I was so happy! Today is officially the best day of my life. I know that she's drunk, but drunken people tend to tell the truth which means that Izzy must be attracted to me in some kind of way.

If I'm right, then does that mean I have a chance with her?
