Chapter 22: Let Me Heal You
Chapter 22: Let Me Heal You
Onyx:
“This depicts the same scenario as the one that already took place, so who is in this drawing?”
Zek’s words collided like bumper cars in a tornado, realizing why Mara took Dirk and Jun. It all made sense.
“Onyx?” Everyone’s shocked voices halted my feet as the massive mahogany door swung open with a forceful pull.
“It’s Jun and Dirk. Mara is going to use them to take over the Realms.” Looking back quickly, seeing concern and rage flash across their eyes as my body proceeded to exit in a mist looking at the East Cell Block of Demon Wolf.
“Onyx?” Max asked puzzled as he and JR stepped out of the triple plated silver and steel door with two warriors bowing in respect.
“Where’s the cyborg female? It’s serious.” Snipping back quickly as the warriors parted to allow me entrance, perking a humorous brow as JR and Max spun around instantly, pointing down the long corridor of modified plexi-glass cell doors.
“They’re anxious.” Shehad growled lowly as the putrid smell of rotten flesh filled the reinforced concrete halls with a sinister snarling, intensifying my interest.
“Get me cubed raw steak and water. They run purely on primal needs.” Looking back at their perked brows of amusement, nodding to my request as strange clicking echoed along the bare plexi-glass fronts.
Gasping softly as the cyborg hung from the modified restraints along the back wall with thick, gold plated chains and cuffs securing her limbs and neck. Strange oozing pus and thick blood, caked heavily along her shoulder and neck from a hole clawed into the flesh over the strange metal skeleton underneath.
“Like Sabrina.” Shehad growled sinisterly as the images of that little girl flooded my thoughts with a sickening dread weighing on my heart.
Swiping the keys from Max with a spooked expression as his by-colored eyes darted to the cyborg watching with a coldness that scared me to a point.
“Alpha’s.” A young warrior appeared with a large tray of cubed raw steak and a bucket of fresh water, halting his approach as his eyes landed on the key inserted into the doors locking mechanism.
“Jensen, Thank you. Now, go and stay on alert.” JR took the tray and bucket from him as he slowly backed away with a shaky head nod.
“Jensen?” Looking over my shoulder as my fingers glided over the smooth metal of the key, feeling the raised brail of “Master Key” stamped along the edge.
“Y-Yes Queen Onyx.” Jensen bowed respectfully, causing Shehad to snicker lightly hearing the formal title whisper from his lips.
“Unlock her restraints on the way out.” Smirking humorously at Max and JR’s defensive expressions as their eyes swirled wildly with their beasts itching to surface.
Offering his terrified expression, a reassuring smile as he turned sharply, disappearing back down the long concrete corridor towards the enchanted barrier that sealed off this portion of the cells.
“Is that smart to do?” Max whispered from the corner of his lips, nodding “yes” as the clicking sounded again with a soft growling purr, studying the cold eyes that followed my movements.
“Hope you wore your “Big Boy” shorts today.” Laughing coldly as the locking mechanism, clicked opened with a hollow clunking clank and swoosh as the plexi-glass broke its seal with the wall.
Stepping through the protection barrier, feeling the static charges ignite the heat along my flesh as JR sat the tray and bucket inside the open door, backing away slowly as the door hissed softly in closing with a solid click. Growling snarls welcomed me as the electromagnetic locking clasps snapped open releasing a weary cyborg to her feet as we circled around the open cell in a dangerous stare down.
“Be ready to sound the alarm.” Exhaling softly, catching the quick nods as the female stopped, sniffing the air with a predatory glint laced dangerously across her facial features as her head snapped down to the food and water behind my legs.
“You hungry?” Holding my hands up slowly as her eyes narrowed in on my movements, side stepping as she lunged towards the raw steak, snarling and grunting as the metallic scent of blood filled the room. Gagging back the rush of nausea that hit out of nowhere, crouching down as her cold glacier green eyes snapped to me with a warning snarl, shredding the meat like a rabid animal.
“Easy. I won’t hurt you.” Holding my hands up softly, examining the open wound that oozed a foul-smelling pus, rushing to the stainless steel toilet as my stomach upheaved everything with white knuckles.
“That’s foul.” Shehad hissed lowly, scrunching her snout with a sharp exhale of smoke.
“Welcome to the “Joys of Morning Sickness”.” Laughing softly, wiping the back of my hand across my mouth, gagging back the next rush of nausea.
“Onyx!” JR and Max exhaled harshly, holding my hand up softly leaning back on my heels as the cyborg studied me with a tilted stare.
Her nostrils flared and twitched as she crawled along the floor, swaying her head back and forth like she was listening to something far away. Shehad stirred nervously as her eyes glazed-over reaching for my stomach with bloody, slimy fingers, pulling her hand back with a warning snarl as her metal augmented fangs dripped with foamy saliva.
“Interesting.” Shehad hummed lowly as we watched the strange reactions with a silent fascination.
Her cracked lips, parted like she was trying to voice words, but a strange gargle took its place as her fingers touched along the fleshy wound that exposed her mechanical skeleton.
“What’s your name?” Signing with my hands as the words followed with a gentle gesture pointing towards her. Her bloody fingers twitched as she studied them with a confused expression, quickly tapping the concrete floor to get her attention back to me.
“I’m Onyx, Queen of the Dragons.” Pointing to myself with a bright smile as her icy green orbs narrowed slightly with a snarling click of her jowl muscles.
“Show her our “Alter-Form”. Shehad mentioned firmly, holding my hands out in a non-threatening gesture as I stood to my feet, feeling the thin material of my cloths smoldering away as my fleshy iridescent scales took over along my goose riddled flesh.
Shehad made her presence known with the golden horns that sat along my silvery-purple locks like a crown. Pointing to JR and Max to close their slacked jaws with my finger, turning my attention back to the female as she ran her fingers along my scales like a little child touching out of curiosity.
“Let me heal you.” Motioning to her wound with my finger, taking a soft step forward as she stepped back with a dark growl of fear.
“Look.” Holding my arm out as she watched my extended claw, drag along the exposed flesh seeping thick crimson before sealing itself with a soft tingling sensation.
Smiling softly as her eyes scanned the flesh with a strange toothy grin, touching her neck with a low hiss.
Waving to her with my hands as JR and Max smirked liked proud brothers with their arms crossed over their chests, tracing gently over the slimy flesh as it began to heal with a soft hissing. A strange fluttering sensation rolled through my body as her pasty, light olive flesh crept slowly along the metal, fusing together in a soft pink hue of sparkling snaps.
“Almost done.” Speaking softly as her fingers brushed along my stomach, twitching slightly at the tickling sensation it shot through my bones with a soft giggle. Exhaling slowly to calm the swirling in my stomach, pulling back slowly as the last pieces of flesh closed with a soft snapping hiss.
Shehad purred softly as the cold orbs of glacier green, stared back with a flash of life as a loud bang sounded from the corridor jerking back quickly as she jumped to her feet with a loud snarling roar.
“SHIT!” JR and Max whisper shouted as thunderous eruptions echoed through the concrete tunnels, amplifying the thunderstorm that raged war outside.
“Hey! Hey, it’s okay. It’s a storm. No harm.” I signed calmly as her eyes darted wildly along the concrete structure, slamming her fists into the walls with a thunderous crack as the concrete groaned in agony.
“Onyx, get out of there.” Max spoke firmly as the keys scrapped along the locking mechanism.
