Chapter 72 Emerald green
“How did it go?” He asked her, and Anita sighed in frustration.
“He hung up and probably blocked the number. I can’t get to him anymore.” She answered, tossing the phone aside in anger.
“I told you. You don’t have to check up on him. You know where to get him.”
“Don’t blame me for trying to reach out. I miss him and I don’t want him to just forget about me. Didn’t you see the video? He seemed so happy and all.” She uttered, rolling her eyes.
“And you don’t want that?”
“No! He can’t be happy without me!” She yelled, making him scoff.
“Sometimes I wonder if you’re just going after him for his money or you do have feelings for him.” Alec answered with a loud sigh, slamming into the same couch she sat on.
“Alec, C’mon, we are past this. I don’t think I can ever fall in love with a man. I just love how he makes me feel when I’m around him. How well I can manipulate him. That’s the best feeling ever. But now, this lady won’t just let me do my thing.”
“But you have a plan A already, don’t you?”
“Yes, and my Plan A is promising, but then I hate that woman called Aurora. I don’t want to ever have to worry about her.”
“And what are you going to do about her?” Alec asked, ready to do anything to make sure their plans work.
“I don’t know. I’m still thinking about it. What do you think?” She asked him, and he let out a deep sigh.
“You know my answers to situations like this. I eliminate her. End of story.”
“No, Alec! I’m not killing anyone. I may be everything but a killer? No. We don’t have to kill her. We just need Arthur to hate her.”
“But how do we do that? He’s clearly in love with her.”
“Well, you have to help him change that! Look into her. Find something we can use against her. Just help me not worry about her anymore.”
“And what will I get in return?” Alec asked, leaning closer to her.
“C’mon, Alec. I’m yours already, and you know that. What else do you want?” She muttered, pushing him back.
“I’m not sure of that anymore. Looks like Arthur is beginning to take over my place in your life.”
“Oh please! We are not doing this again. Just help me get rid of Aurora. Go… start working.”
Alec got up from the couch, nodding. “Fine. I’ll start working on it.” He answered, making his way out of the room.
After he was out, Anita got up from the couch and headed to her room. She approached her mirror and stood in front of it. She looked at her flat belly and smiled mischievously.
‘Soon, my love. Soon.’
Carter and Derick laid in bed, scrolling through some wedding aesthetic pictures on the internet.
“What do you think about this?” Derick asked.
“I don’t think I want a white wedding, Derick. Why don’t we try emerald green? That theme is beautiful.”
“Emerald green.” Derick answered as he searched for emerald green wedding aesthetic pictures on Pinterest.
“Wow.” He uttered as soon as the pictures came on screen.
“I told you. It’s Ethereal. Emerald green suits are so lovely too. Do you like it?”
“I love it! We should tell the designer making our invitation cards. He should change the theme to emerald green.” Derick answered, hastily reaching for his phone.
“When are we going to tell people about the date? I can’t wait to tell Aurora.”
“We can start telling people after the invitation card is ready. Also, you know we are not expecting many people. You can always tell Aurora, and I’ll tell Arthur too. We don’t have to wait to tell them. They are family.”
“But apart from them, who else are we inviting?” Carter further inquired.
“Just a few people at my office.”
“That’s great. What matters is that we are getting married. I can’t wait, Derick. I really can’t.”
With a chuckle, Derick embraced him and planted a kiss on his forehead. “I can’t wait to be called your husband.” Derick added, causing Carter’s face to flush.
Carter lifted his head and pecked Derick on the lips. “Who would have thought we’d end up together. It seemed like the most impossible task ever.”
“And I’m sorry I made it so difficult for us to be together. I was a…”
“Shhhh! You don’t have to remind yourself about that anymore. It’s all in the past now and you are here with me.” Carter butted in, climbing on top of his legs.
Derick moved his laptop from his leg to the bedside table so he could carry Carter better. He pulled him closer, grabbing his butts as he did.
Carter giggled and hit him playfully. “What are you trying to do?” He asked shyly.
Derick leaned closer, his face only inches away from Carter’s. “You know exactly what I’m trying to do.” He uttered in a whisper, his hand running smoothly into Carter’s boxers from behind.
Carter bit his lower lip softly and arched his back, creating more curve.
“Let’s do it.” Derick uttered, capturing Carter’s lips in his. “Hmm.” Carter moaned in his mouth as he felt Derick’s finger wander close to his tight yet expectant opening.
Derick’s finger went in and Carter’s moan grew louder. He grabbed onto Derick’s shoulder firmly as he felt pleasure and a little pain. He began to rub his manhood against his as their kissing grew deeper.
Derick turned Carter over and made him lay on the bed. He pulled off his boxers and he did the same thing. He grabbed Carter’s legs and raised them high in the air.
He shamelessly buried his face in between Carter’s arse as he began to eat him up.
“Oh… yeah.” Carter moaned, grabbing Derick’s hair. His tongue swept clean every inch of Carter’s opening, getting him ready to take him.
And just when he was ready to go in, Carter’s phone began to vibrate next to his head. Carter’s eyes opened and he looked at his phone.
“It can wait, right?” Derick asked hungrily.
“It’s Aurora.” Carter answered, and Derick heaved a sigh.
“Fine. Answer it.” He responded as he went ahead to continue eating him up.
With his eyes rolled up under his eyelids, he answered the phone and placed it on his ear.
“Aurora.” He tried to speak normally.
“Hi, Carter. How are you today?” Aurora answered.
“I’m good. You?” His voice went low as he felt Carter stick his tongue inside him.
“I’m good too. I am just not myself.”
“Why?”
“Anita wouldn’t leave Arthur alone. I know he’s trying to get away from her but she isn’t making it easy for him. She keeps appearing in our lives. I don’t know what to do and this is making me more angry. I know I shouldn’t be mad at Arthur because he’s trying to get rid of her but I just can’t help it. Why were they even together in the first place? I’m at work and I can’t even do a single thing correctly! Argh!” Aurora ranted in rage.
“Oh, wow.” Derick uttered after hearing her ranting.
“Erm, I think you should calm down, Aurora.”
“I’m trying to. Can you please come down here? I need you here right now.”
Carter, unsure of what to say to her, turned to look at Derick, who was also staring at me.
“Tell her you’ll come.” Derick whispered to him and gave him a reassuring nod.
“I’ll be there soon, okay? I’m coming.” Carter answered.
After he hung up, he looked at Derick. “But we are not done.” He uttered, widening his legs when more, and Derick smirked.
“I guess I’ll make it snappy then.”
