Chapter 97:
Chapter 99:
Alley POV:
Once we got everyone settled Lillith took off for the coven house, probably to help Pythia. “So can someone explain what is really going on? You look like a younger version of him.” Gibbs huffed. “Just rip it off like a bandaid.” Rose echoed in my head. She was right in a way, they needed to know and then we could see what we could do about memories. “Alright.. Well you aren’t who you really are. I mean you are in a way but your names aren’t.” I stumbled on my words, probably making everything so much worse. “What is that supposed to mean?” Brianna demanded. “Okay look.” Jeremy started. I looked at him with a sigh of relief. “So kind of how we explained earlier my father was king of the rogues. After I got all of you out I ran away. Started my own life and even met my mate but there is something about all of you that you need to know..” Jeremy added.
He looked at me and I nodded, it was probably best that they heard it from him anyways. “All of you were kidnapped as children. Your names aren't really your names. I told you to keep going east. Change your names, your hair, whatever you could and start a new life and I see you all did. It is a long story and I promise to explain it all but Owen.. as you all call him well, his name is AJ. Their son and his brother.” Jeremy said. They were staring wide eyed at all of us. “Why were we kidnapped?” Gibbs questioned. “That we do not know. We will figure it out and figure out who your family is but I think we need to get your memories back. Afterwards we will tell you everything that has happened and everything that is to come and let you decide what you want to do from there. We will also bring your family here to re-unite you with them if you so choose. Things like this can be very delicate and time will be needed.” I answered softly. There was so much to take in for them and the last thing that I wanted to do was overwhelm any of them.
Leia swung the door open, Brandon was on her heels. “They need blood.” Leia whispered. “Blood? For what?” Brianna asked. Leia turned and smiled softly. “Part of what is being done is well.. They have to drain a lot of his blood. Pythia is doing what she can before she has to release it back into the earth but they need clean blood from the family to help flush out the infected parts of it.” Leia answered. A few of them cringed at her words and truthfully I wanted to as well. It doesn’t seem like an easy process to get through and I remember all too well how long it took Leia each time to recover and what it did to her. “We will go. Leia, take us to him.” Stephen said before kissing my cheek. I could feel his inner turmoil. This was still a shock to all of us but for him there was nothing that we could do until he got better. “As for the rest of you, I will give you some time to think about it. There are rooms waiting for you to shower with fresh clothes. Anything you need should be in there. I need to go check on our children and then I will return and we can discuss what you guys would like to do alright?” I asked looking around.
Each nodded their heads, I knew they would want to get cleaned up and it would give me enough time to go and see the kids. With everything that has gone on I didn’t want them to feel as if we had forgotten them. I mean, after all they were pretty much on lockdown after all of the threats and people coming after them. First Ambrosias kids, now Pythias.. It did make me wonder who would show for the wolves. Was it someone from Stephens family? A disgruntled rogue that somehow got away? I had so many questions and not a lot of answers. “Goddess, I can hear you thinking from here.” Ambrosia huffed scaring me. “What are you doing here? I thought you went back home for a little while.” I said trying to slow my heart beat down. “I did, nothing on the cameras, I was coming to see if there was any word on the others. How are they doing?” Ambrosia questioned. “They are.. Adjusting. We told them everything, well almost everything. They are getting cleaned up right now. Stephen and his parents went to the coven house for blood donations and I was going to go check on the children.” I answered.
I hated how I felt like everything was so chaotic now again after we were finally starting to really establish peace and harmony with everyone. We were establishing new ways to live and now we were tossed back into another pending war. Part of me hated it, I wanted it all to just stop but then part of me knew if it wasn’t us then it would be our children and that is not something any of us would want to let them handle. “Why don’t we plan a picnic dinner? Kids could run around and we could have some drinks and try to relax.” Ambrosia offered. Honestly it sounded really good. “Let’s do it. I’m sure the kids would really love that.” I boosted. I could only hope that this might cheer up everyone else but I was still worried about Stephen…
Stephen POV
It was a punch to the gut.. Finding out that he was still alive after all this time. Even though we had no idea there was still a small amount of guilt. We should have looked harder or something. I knew my parents had always told themselves that he was dead, it was how they went about their days but a small part of me kept the door to hope open. I’d catch myself wondering what it would have been like to have an older brother. I love my sister don’t get me wrong but there are just things that brothers bond about. Now AJ is in a literal life or death situation and I remember all too well how badly this hurt Leia, how long it took her to recover from it and if he was worse then what is going to happen to him? I guess Pythia would be able to answer my questions and it probably wouldn’t be best to bombard her as soon as we got there.
I know mom and dad had loads of them, I could feel them rolling off of them but I knew they would hold them until the time was right. When we got to the coven house everything looked rather normal. That was until we got closer and I could hear the shouts and growls. My parents stopped and looked at each other. “What is happening to him Leia?” My mother questioned. I could hear the concern in her voice. “Something you really don’t want to know about. Let’s get you guys in here so that they will begin.” Leia answered quickly. I didn’t realize how this could be affecting her. I knew Brandon was more edgy when it came to this kind of stuff. He knew her better than any of us did and even though she portrayed that everything was fine, Alley always worried. As we sat in the chairs while they got everything ready to go I looked at my father. His face was as if it was made of stone. He was hiding behind all of it. All of his emotions were in his eyes. My mother on the other hand I could read like a book.
She was never one to really hide behind anything, instead she showed her emotions without a care in the world. “How do you think he is going to handle the truth?” I asked, looking between them. “I don’t know, son. We can only hope for the best.” My father quipped. That was my sign not to ask anymore questions. The door flung open and in came a frazzled looking Pythia. She took a deep breath and straightened her back. “Um.. Are you alright?” I asked, taking in her appearance. “Fine..” She whispered, shaking her head. “Good, you’ve all started. He is resting for now, I can’t do much more with the low amount of blood he has.” Pythia added, looking at all of us. “Tye.. I think you need to check on Pythia.. Like now.” I said quickly through the link. She was trying hard not to show that anything was wrong with her but I’ve known her long enough to see through that. “How is he?” My mother asked. “He will be fine, just another day or so and then he can begin healing. I’m afraid you still can’t see him just yet. The fumes in there are not something any of you can withstand.” Pythia whispered.
I knew we wouldn’t be able to see him just yet, much like Leia. “PYTHIA!” Tye roared through the house. Her eyes snapped to me, “Snitch.” She huffed making me laugh. “What happened?” Tye asked barging in the door. “Same thing as I did to Leia, I’m fine.” Pythia replied. “No. Lilith!” Tye yelled walking back out of the door. I could hear him telling Lilith that he was taking her to get a bath and she wouldn’t be available for a few hours. “Well, it seems like I won’t be here for a few hours, in that time he will be wrapped up and given a little time to heal while they give him the blood transfusion. You are welcome to see him at that time.” Pythia sighed. “What about the fumes?” My father questioned. “They will not be of harm to you, when I come back you will have to leave so that I can continue. Don’t overwhelm him, or try not to. I’m sure he will have some questions. Well, he will. He already knows something is off from the way we were talking.” Pythia answered. Well, now there was no way for us to hide it and the more time that passed by the more anxious I was to finally see the brother that I had thought died years ago
