Part 117 b

"Don't be like that, Ro," Seira warns. Her eyes roll to Robert, who just chuckles at her earlier remark. "Wasn't last night enough?"

"You always want more from me."

"Come on." She nudges her husband's back gently. "I'm gonna make some smoothies. You want some, right?"

"Whatever you make, I'll eat it."

Before Robert truly leaves the kitchen area, Seira grabs his arm. This makes Robert furrow his brow. "What's up? Earlier you wanted me to leave for work right away?"

Seira's smile widens. She steps closer and when she's right in front of Robert, she gives him a quick peck as a form of encouragement. Unfortunately, Robert isn't content with just getting his lips wet.

"God, just be enough for his heart. Don't let anyone else break us apart. Make this man the only one who loves me with all his heart. It's only You I ask."

Olive grins widely. Like a lottery winner who just hit the jackpot today. Her eyes refuse to go anywhere else but to the printout of the ultrasound she just had. Even though she's still sitting on the edge of the examination bed. Listening, albeit not very attentively, to what the doctor is saying.

Anyway, what Olive remembers is that her pregnancy condition is good. The baby's development is fine. And she's in good health. Her blood pressure is normal. The blood levels in her body are also stable. All kinds of examinations related to her pregnancy didn't find any obstacles at all.

Isn't it understandable if she feels extremely grateful?

"Come on, Bee," Thomas interrupts Olive's thoughts in an instant. "Is there anything else you want to ask? You heard the doctor's explanation earlier, right?"

Once again, Olive can only show off her row of white teeth. "Nope."

Thomas already figured as much.

"As long as Mrs. Olive doesn't experience severe nausea, vomiting until she's weak, and her appetite is a mess. Especially if her body feels very weak, Mrs. Olive can continue her normal activities."

"By normal here, what do you mean, Doc? I'm pretty clumsy?"

The doctor is patient. If not, maybe she would have given a slap to this pregnant woman already. Since her arrival, there have been all sorts of bizarre questions that left her astonished. Including questions about her eating habits, which can be described as ravenous. She says stuff like, "But, Doc, I wonder why my meal portions are so big? Is that normal?"

Or.

"Doc, if I sleep on my back, I don't run out of breath, right?"

One more thing that's the weirdest.

"Doc, my pregnancy is quite strong now, right?"

The doctor blinks in confusion. "I don't quite get what you mean by 'pretty strong'? Are you planning to lift weights or something?"

"Am I a boxer, Doc?" Olive snickers. "I mean ... physically intimate."

Oh my God!

Luckily, Olivia Charlotte, the patient, is the only one he's seen out of the many who came to consult with him. When he glances at the man who's never far from the woman's side, the doctor can see him gently tapping his forehead. Perhaps he's so surprised by the question the wife is throwing at her obstetrician this time.

With great patience, he explains, trying to make sure she understands because this patient asks a lot of questions, causing the doctor's brow to furrow even more. But actually, what Olive is asking about revolves around how to have intimacy with her husband during pregnancy. Many patients complain about feeling too much 'pressure' and end up feeling uncomfortable. Even though that can actually be overcome with cooperative teamwork between husband and wife.

"No, dear. Everything is clear. Along with the prescribed medications and recommended vitamins. I understand the dosages."

"Stay healthy with your pregnancy, dear. And you too, sir, always faithfully accompanying and being vigilant."

"Like a security guard, huh, Doc?"

Well, it's better if they just laugh it off. Olive sure is his unique patient.

"So, are we picking up Mom?" Thomas asks after making sure Olive is comfortably seated beside him. The consultation and examination earlier indeed made Thomas feel uneasy but, ah ... isn't his wife like this? Sometimes calm, sometimes fierce, and not uncommonly acting absurdly. But it's quite entertaining, really. Moreover, when the pampering comes, Thomas never minds because it's still within reason.

And again, Olive never forgets her duties as a wife. Preparing breakfast for him, making his lunch when they're off together, catering to him even though sometimes Thomas asks her to stop. For a moment. By 'catering', I mean not in the bedroom, no. Not that. Thomas hasn't wanted to do what he really desires and enjoys yet.

"So, yeah," Olive replies cheerfully. "I miss Mom, Honey."

"Okay." Thomas gets ready to steer his car out of the parking area.

"But let's go home first."

Thomas furrows his eyebrows. "What's up?"

"You'll find out later."

"What's up?" Thomas asks more firmly this time. "Don't hide anything. What are you feeling? Stomach ache? Cramps? While we're still at the hospital, Bee?" Thomas gazes intently at Olive. "Or do you want something? What?"

Olive grins even wider.

"Bee," Thomas warns.

"Ugh! You mean you didn't understand my question to the doctor earlier?"

Thomas pauses to think. Don't tell me ...

"I want you, plain and simple. Your mom isn't at home either, right? We can meet Mom later at the apartment. But this can't wait!"

The words Thomas had vanished into thin air!

"Do you want to?"

Thomas chuckles. "Alright. Whatever you want, Bee."
