Chapter 106 felling

Chapter 106 felling

RAELYNN'S POV.

We both turned out gaze to the door as it suddenly groaned under the weight of itself as someone pushed it open. "That will be her now", Brian stood from where he was hunched in front of me then went to greet the woman entering in the cell room. A slender woman with straight inky black hair swept into the room as if she moved with air.

She adorned her body with a floor length black dress that cascaded around her legs. My eyes traveled up to the leather harness around her chest that resembled the shape of a pentagram and emphasized her breasts. She covered herself in several pieces of jewelry that varied with different colored stones and minerals that held each their own magical glow.

I looked up at her face, thinking that she was perhaps beautiful just like the outfit she had dressed up but hell no l was wrong. She was hardly more than a skeleton clinging to it's translucent flesh.

But her eyes were the worst. There was no white in her eyes, only darkness like a swirling pit of tar.

Her eyes held death and nothing more.

"Vandeer", Brian cooed at the woman. "So lovely to see you again", She tilted her head in his direction but she directed the inky pits of her eyes at me.

"Brian. Likewise", Her lips split open with a nasty grin. l wanted to gag at the sight of the disgustingly decayed teeth, all of them were filed to unnatural points. Easier to cannibalize your fellows witches with.

My heart sank further down as if it wanted to leave my body and disappear through the floor under me. I couldn't breathe and my heart pounded painfully in my chest.

"This is the perfect time to answer the question burning in your head. What do I want to do with you?", The hollow laughter from Brian brought me back to reality. He was honestly a lunatic. I knew it already but after a silence that is what he decided to say. "Simply put... I'm going to eat you and absorb your magic", His words made me feel afraid but also proved how a sick psycho he was. I wasn't replying to him but he kept on talking to himself while laughing.

"Is she the one who was fated to be your brother's mate?",

"Yes she is the one", Brian clapsed his hands together with a loud clap and an idiotic smile splayed across his face as he looked between me and the necromancer.

Vandeer only blinked down at me with nothing registering on her face. She was perhaps essentially bored. My stomach churned and l wished the feeling of dread weighing me down would go away. The room felt darker than it had only moments ago. A sickening chill crawled over my skin and yet another wave of nausea rolled through my belly.

My heart was racing and perhaps for the first time l felt the cold in the room. The chill that swept over me caused my body to shiver violently. "Just like with the necromancers. If l eat your flesh and drink the marrow in your bones, l will absorb that beautiful magic. Ha-ha. You can't only use it for healing, you can do more with it", His laughter was maddening and every second that passed made me feel like l was in hell.

This meant real death.

My stomach dropped to the floor and l swallowed hard as if there was a rock stuck in my throat.

"You not a witch and neither am l. What makes you think that it will work?", I asked trying to think of anything to dissuade the wolf from his plan. To save my life and my babies.

"No am not a witch but Vandeer here she is. You see. She saw a vision", He spread his hands wide and flashed his teeth with a smile. "Turning my back against the scientists wasn't my plan, l was fine with the scientist's idea of taking all leaders of supernatural creatures but when Vandeer told me the vision, l decided to abduct you before they did. What was it you told me Vandeer... Her blood.... Yes her blood", He kept murmuring to himself.

"I want to be the strongest wolf and the only way to become is taking your powers, you humans; you always think that you the most powerful but am gonna teach you a lesson including those foolish scientists", His eyes flashed amber, showing me a sign of the beast within.

"Am really impressed with your plan", The words fall out of my mouth with a forced smile on my face. My response annoyed him because the darkness again appeared in his eyes.

"Don't piss me off, l don't think you will like it when I dose you with the dead man's blood again", He growled. "If you not careful, Vandeer will end up getting one thing too from this arrangement", He went on with sneering in my face.

The necromancer winked slowly before turning her gaze from Brian to me. "Hundred years ago, l was a friend of Werewolves", She started as she walked more closer to me. Per now I wasn't only afraid but also confused. She was telling me that as if I was a werewolf. I knew nothing about them and I didn't want to know any history of them. Every time Zara used to tell me about them, sleep immediately claimed me but here I was with no other option left.

I had to listen to the necromancer.

"Back then l was just a naive little witch, eager to help the werewolves and fight the vampires, l fought with them for decades....", She paused and closed her eyes as if recalling everything.

God!! I didn't know what to do in order to stop listening to her boring story.

"But the war never ended, during that process l fall in love with one of the Alphas and I promised to do anything to protect him. I turned and joined necromancy to help him with his fight but that

fucking Alpha betrayed me. He told me that the dead should stay dead", She spoke as l silently listened.

My only question was. "Why am l being drugged in this and yet am not a werewolf?",
