Chapter 130 How Are You Planning to Punish Me?

Chapter 130 How Are You Planning to Punish Me?

"Olivia."

Charles's voice was full of pain: "We agreed that we'd be together properly. You're not my mistress. I don't want you calling yourself 'mistress' anymore. You're my woman. I just haven't married you yet."

In the future, I'll find a way to marry you.

"Fine," Olivia said expressionlessly, making it clear she didn't believe him.

"..."

Her reaction made Charles furious, but no matter how angry he was, he didn't dare lose his temper with Olivia anymore.

Olivia was clearly dealing with him by acting like the living dead.

He couldn't accept her like this.

"Olivia."

Charles forced down his anger and tried to reason with her patiently:

"Our first meeting wasn't pleasant, and it's understandable that you resent me for what happened before. I get it. But we clearly agreed to live well together for the next five years, and you broke that agreement by running away without a word. That's not my fault, is it?"

"Running away?" Olivia looked at him with a cold laugh. After a moment, she lifted her chin slightly and turned her head away. "Since you think I ran away, then fine, I ran away. So what? What are you planning to do to punish me?"

Again with that attitude of "do whatever you want, I just don't want to deal with you."

Charles's suppressed anger surged up again: "Olivia, are you being reasonable?"

"So what if I'm not being reasonable?" Olivia suddenly sat up in bed, ignoring the soreness in her body.

She looked at Charles with a half-smile: "Did you reason with me at the beginning? Did you reason with me when you came to my house four years ago? Did you reason with me when you suddenly appeared in my life last year to get revenge on me?"

"You never reasoned with me before, and now you're asking me to be reasonable with you. Don't you think that's ridiculous?"

"So what you're saying is," Charles stared into Olivia's eyes, "this is still my fault?"

Olivia laughed out loud: "How could it be? Who are you? You're the CEO of the Green Group. I'm just a lowly mistress you could crush with a flick of your finger. How could you be wrong? Even if there's a mistake, it must be mine."

Charles's brow furrowed deeply:

What should he do with this woman?

He couldn't kill her, couldn't hit her.

He'd always known Olivia was stubborn, but this was the first time he realized that when her temper flared up, she could drive someone crazy.

But...

This was clearly her fault.

"Mr. Green." Olivia smiled and grabbed his collar, pulling him close. "I ran away. It's my fault. So what are you going to do to punish me?"

Seeing him remain silent, Olivia continued with a smile: "Tie me up, or break my legs?"

"Olivia," Charles said through gritted teeth, "I didn't say that."

"You didn't say it, but are you planning to do it?" Olivia continued to provoke him. "If you're not planning to do it, then I'm leaving right now."

With that, she forced herself out of bed, found a suitcase from the nearby closet, and started packing her clothes.

"Olivia," Charles followed closely, his face dark as he watched her. "Don't think that just because I can't bear to kill you, you can do whatever you want."

Olivia paused in her packing. Soon she looked up, her voice rising to its highest pitch:

"So what? What are you going to do to punish me? Tie me up, or break both my legs so I can never run away again?"

"Still not talking. Haven't you decided yet, or is it beneath your dignity to do something so degrading? You don't want to do it yourself? Fine, I'll do it myself."

She pushed past Charles and ran out of the closet.

Charles reached out to stop her, but was pushed away again.

Charles chased her downstairs.

It was still cold outside. Olivia ran out of the villa barefoot in her thin nightgown. Seeing a security guard nearby holding a baton, she rushed over and grabbed it from his hand.

"Olivia, what are you trying to do?"

Seeing her with the baton, Charles stopped about five feet away from her.

He held out both hands, pressing them downward repeatedly, partly to control his own temper and partly hoping Olivia would calm down a bit.

"Olivia, I brought this up not to punish you. I just wanted to discuss this with you, to hear your real thoughts. I want us to be okay together."

"Be okay?"

Olivia laughed coldly: "If my legs are broken and I can never walk again, then I'll stay in this villa forever and never leave."

"That's not what I meant. Olivia, you... Olivia!"

Charles tried to reason with her patiently, but then saw Olivia raise the baton high and bring it down hard on her own leg.

He lunged forward like a madman, trying to stop her.

But Olivia moved too quickly, and they were too far apart. He fell to the ground, only able to watch helplessly as Olivia brought the baton down on her leg.

Not satisfied with one blow, she collapsed to the ground and continued swinging the baton down again and again.

Each strike made Charles's heart break.

He didn't even have time to get up from the ground. He just crawled forward, grabbing the baton tightly, not allowing her to hit herself one more time.

Finally stopping her, he held Olivia in his arms while shouting: "Car! Bring the car over. We're going to the hospital."

The driver brought the car over as quickly as possible. Charles carried Olivia into the car.

Seeing the blood continuously spreading from her legs, his eyes turned red.

Olivia still didn't stop. She kept hitting her hands against the car door while asking him with a pale smile:

"Both my legs seem to be broken. Is that... enough? Why don't I break both my arms too? That way... I... I won't just be unable to walk out, I won't even be able to crawl out."

"Olivia."

Charles gripped her arms tightly, stopping this self-destructive revenge:

"Is this how you're getting revenge on me? Aren't you the one who values your life most? Don't you want to live well anymore? With broken hands and feet, is this how you'll see your parents after five years? Aren't you afraid they'll worry?"

At this moment, Charles couldn't think about a lifetime anymore. He just wanted to use the five-year agreement to make Olivia regain her senses and stop torturing herself like this.

Olivia looked at him with a bitter smile: "I'm not getting revenge on you. I'm punishing myself."

Punishing herself?

Charles didn't understand why she would say that.

Even if there was some deeper meaning, he didn't have time to think about it now.

Right now, getting Olivia to the hospital was the most important thing.
