Back in the main palace

After Nathan, every other person was present except Luna Mia.

"Where's Luna Mia? Alpha Nathan demanded.

",I will go check on her, my Lord" Luna Emma replied with a slight bow, and he gave his approval before she left.

She walked through the hallway, walking towards Mia's room, when she saw her coming out of the room.

"Good morning, Co-wife, I thought you were supposed to know we had a very urgent meeting with His Majesty and the elders. They are patiently waiting for us. Can we spare their time?" She Said, trying to tell her if they could go there without wasting any minute.

"How do you feel to have been stood up again yesterday? His Majesty knows he couldn't resist my charm, so he kept standing you up." A sinister grin played on the corner of her lips.

"Really, Madam, but I'm sorry to say you are wrong; he didn't spend time with you; he came to my room and wrote a letter, which I know you took. I believe you couldn't stop staring at those Romantic poems he must have written to me" Emma chuckled, and frowned.

"Why would I take your letter, and who do you think you are? she thundered.

"Try to be calm; sometimes jealousy leads to that; you are just jealous, Co-wife. Meet me in the throne room, Co-wife. "She smiled before walking away.

"Darn! How could she know about my plan?" She bit her lips angrily and made her way to the throne room.

After everybody settled down, Alpha

Nathan stood up, his eyes filled with anger.

"Who among you knew about slavery going on in this pack?" he demanded, and they all started to look at each other.

"Beta Khan, do you have something to say about this?' He faced her with his eyes boiling in rage. Beta Khan stood up and cleared his throat.

"Your majesty,I am sorry for not telling you earlier. I found out about this weeks ago. I didn't want to disturb you, which is why I haven't raised the discussion." He mumbled under his breath.

"And who gave you the right to decide how I felt? Innocent people are suffering under my control, and you felt there was no need to tell me about that." He thundered, his voice echoing.

"Your majesty, slavery isn't something known in this pack, and moreover, your father knew about this." Elder Drake, one of the elders in the quorum spoke out.

"How do you mean? When did that start?" he asked, his voice brimming with anger.

"Alpha Nathan, you traveled to the human world doing this thing we are talking about, but the truth is your father never meant to do this. He actually has to do it for some reason." Another of the elders spoke up.

"For what reason? I want to know everything"He said, and Beta Khan chuckled.

"According to my records after I found out, I found out that during our last war with the Green Moon Pack, some of our pack members were taken into slavery, treated brutally, and even sold out to humans. They did all this and sent videos and pictures of how they were being treated brutally. That got His Majesty, your own father angry, and in vengeance, we attacked them unaware; it was a successful war. And to get back at them, he had to enslave them and make sure their hostage was a little bit far from the main palace," He explained, and Alpha Nathan's mouth fell.

"After he passed away, why didn't anyone bother to speak to me about this? Wasn't I supposed to know? He didn't even bother to tell me about this" the elders stare at each other.

"Your highness, I was planning to tell you this." Beta Khan couldn't raise his head as he stared at his toes.

"This is me, not my father, so I refused to enslave anybody and will set them free and also redeem their hopes; slavery isn't the best way to get back at your enemy," He castigated, and they all kept quiet, no one dare go talk when their Alpha is still talking.

"Your majesty, those people are our enemies; they can be ungrateful and turn against you tomorrow. Mia stood up on her feet, feeling angry, the looks on her face says it all.

"Objection, your Majesty, it good when we help with that with our hearts without thinking of the benefits coming with it, these people deserve freedom; nobody was bound to be a slave." Emma disapproved of her suggestion. And Alpha Nathan gave the elders to decide; he knew what his decisions were, but trying not to get in between the two wives, he had to play it Smart.

"I will give the elders quorum to decide their thoughts about this." He gave them five minutes to figure it out. After five minutes, one of them stood up.

"Your majesty, we support whatever decision you made here today. Because this wasn't supposed to be in the first place, we are the greatest of all packs and shouldn't encourage slavery, so I think we agreed that slavery should be stopped with immediate effect" Elder Drake said in place of others, with Luna Mia glaring in anger. why would he agree to that? Mia thought angrily, if look can kill elder Drake will be six feet by now.
