Chapter 10
Chapter 10
Whack!
A sleeping figure on a bed capable of holding four fully grown human beings swung its arm resulting in the man standing by the bedside being hit hard in the face. Abruptly the person woke up, skin moist from sweating, brows raised high, lips apart and hands gripping the soft sheets. The person, who is none other than Avalyn Monroe, stared into the distance. A man crouched over holding his face, after a while of standing emotionlessly the man she had unknowingly hit raised his head. Blood trickled from his nose, he gave her a nasty look; the blood flowing from his nostrils was evidence of a broken nose.
What makes this worse is..the man was Renzo.
On one hand, the underboss looked as if he would throw her in a volcano at any minute, but on the other hand, he didn't make any attempt to hurt her. Technically, he could not, but Avalyn expected more from a man that was just painfully smacked in the face.
“You deserve that, you deserve more than that,” the words calmly flew out her mouth, “You deserve a lot more than that for killing my friend.”
“I never killed Dream–”
“Then where is she? Where is my friend? Jus?..just tell me where she is, Renzo,” her voice went from the high-pitched voice of a grieving woman to a meek girl. “And what are you doing here? Where's that...that man.”
Renzo straightened and rolled his shoulders, flashing his short hair and then pulling his scarred fingers through the strands to keep them out of his face. “How could you possibly think that I killed Starlette? I would never hurt her. Tell me, why would you even assume that?”
“Not sure what is called a ‘Torture Division’ but I heard you worked there, and from the word torture alone I know nothing good–”
”Your friend is alive and well. As I said, I don't know where she is, but you probably do,” Renzo lowered his head, eyes glued to the frowning ex-stripper, “I need you to tell me where she would be hiding. That time, at the mansion, we fought and she ran away–again. Now I can't find her. But since you're the closest person to her, tell me where she would be hiding.”
“I don't know what you're talking about. Are you sure Dream is okay? And..and what do you mean by 𝒂𝒈𝒂𝒊𝒏? What the hell are you and that girl keeping from me?”
“Where the fuck is Dream, I don't have time for this.”
“Get out!” she threw pillows at him. “Leave or I'll scream for Bloody, pervert.”
“Now that's not a very nice thing to say. Capo sent me here to see if your ass was still breathing.”
“Get out, Renzo.”
“You will tell me where she is, Avalyn, or whatever your name is. And you'll tell me one way or another,” Renzo promptly spun around and left her there staring at the spot he was just at in disbelief.

For the first time since waking up, she regarded her surroundings, the room in her eyes dripped with elegance, and the rose gold accents bouncing off the walls made it seem like an aesthetic. Ava looked behind her and saw that there were two floor-to-ceiling windows with glittery curtains drawn. She turned back around to see the sheets made of fine silk, walls light pink in colour and a mosquito net stemming from poster to poster. Paintings she recognised as stolen ones from museums hung on the walls, furniture thrived in their brown shades and the decorations enhanced the beauty no doubt.
Her favourite thing to fawn over was the plush tiger print carpet.

All she wore was a nightdress that just so happened to stop mid-thigh, she had on stockings...and she was chained to one of the four wooden posters on the bed!
Gulping, she pulled her fallen strap back up to her shoulder. A huge padlock ensured that she wouldn't escape. 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒅𝒊𝒅𝒏'𝒕 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒂𝒔𝒌 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒅𝒊𝒎𝒘𝒊𝒕 𝒘𝒉𝒆𝒓𝒆 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒌𝒆𝒚𝒔 𝒘𝒆𝒓𝒆? 𝑶𝒓 𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒅 𝒉𝒊𝒎 𝒉𝒐𝒔𝒕𝒂𝒈𝒆? 𝑼𝒉, 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒇𝒖𝒄𝒌𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝒊𝒅𝒊𝒐𝒕.
Many thoughts of what or who may have taken her clothes off–and seen her naked–crossed her mind but before she could ponder deeper the door with a solid gold knob twisted, and in came her master.
Out of instinct, she fled but the chain didn't allow her to go far–as in the other side of the bed. And to her luck, Bloody didn't look like he was in the mood to let her bitch about her situation. No.
He genuinely looked like he'd strangle her.
In rebelliousness, Avalyn backed up to the desk, grabbing a pen from the jar for protection. As if it could protect her somehow.
“When Renzo told me you had woken up I did not believe a word he said. Mainly because it's midnight,” Bloody's words were solemn despite the ferociousness in his eyes. The look was so triggering she began to cry fearing death in the worst ways imaginable with a man like him.
Her heart banged against her ribcage aggressively, she took double breaths because of the fear she felt–with each step he took towards her the more her mind played games, showing her different scenarios of how she'd end up dying. Avalyn even imagined her funeral at that moment, notwithstanding the situation she held out the pen and directed its nib to the man that chuckled darkly.
“Bunny....” Bloody said in a whisper. The man in his state of confusion came to a stop–the pen now touching the button of his shirt. “What's this? Are you crying, sweetheart?”
“Last time I checked I was born human, stop calling me a damn bunny!” she pushed the pen deeper but with one swat it went flying.
Plan B was to hit him with the vase of orchids but that was overruled by the man, he had other plans–that statement proved accurate when he flung her body to the bed and mounted her. She shrunk under the mass of his body, hair waving above her and brows furrowing to ask her a silent question.
It was a good thing he was in clothes. Tight black pants and a black button-up shirt, three gold chains swished occasionally grazing her breasts, shoes of pure leather and his belt came with a big golden buckle–or a Dragon's head, that's what it is.
“Bunny, what was that about? I came here to check up on you and what do you do? Put a pen to my chest? I thought we got past that stage baby girl, why are you so afraid of me?” he shook his head disappointingly. “I can't fuck you if you're afraid of me, that would seem like rape.”
“Your dick is not touching this pussy.”
“It already is, baby bunny,” thereafter he licked her face and pushed his sleeping cock against her vulva covered by a cotton panty. Avalyn felt her clit throb from the sensuous sensation–but the disgust she felt from being licked by a man she didn't favour diminished it. At that moment she wished she could tell her body to shut down like a phone.
“Get off me, dickwad!” her hands that were crossed on her body to somehow prevent his body and hers from touching pushed up to get him off but failed embarrassingly, Bloody was the one to chuckle and leave her there.
“You need to stop letting yourself be fooled because of my eyes, I may look like I want to kill you but I don't. They just change colour depending on the lighting, sometimes they're red, sometimes gold, I have no control,” he opened the top buttons of his black shirt and leaned on the window. Looking at the front of his home from the left wing of the massive structure.
Puzzled by how casually he said his eyes changed colour when he is a human being she asked, “They do wh–” but was interrupted.
“Anyways,” he cut her short, “I need to know something. That night...the night you ran away from Oklahoma City, what happened? In detail, elaborate on what exactly made you relocate.”
Was she surprised he knew her past? Not quite, if he knew her name without her telling him what else didn't he know? He probably knows what happened with her family.
“....” Avalyn avoided his eyes. “....”
“No, 𝒎𝒂𝒎𝒊, tonight's not the night to be mute” he turned to her. “But if you want to be quiet, I'll give you something to make you scream.”
Helplessly, she gulped and narrated everything as lucidly as possible. Still, he remained stuck in his place l, hand over his head on the glass fingers lightly tapping the surface, his other hand was down in his pocket. After hearing her side of the story it all made sense to him but in a way it didn't.
There is a mystery here.
But, now after knowing the truth, the question is...
Will he tell Alpha Nox, the man seeking revenge for his son's gruesome demise, the truth? Or will he not tell him and reject the offer even though he gave the man his honest words?
Then again, if Ava didn't kill his son, who did?
And why?

He took his eyes back to Avalyn, deep in her thoughts, her innocent beauty captivating him as he stared on, in that moment he was reminded of why he took her in the first place. “Strip for me, baby.”
