Chapter 29 Whispered Of Denial

Chapter 29 Whispered Of Denial

Serena's pov

After that wild night that I had with both men the other time and the way they had both assisted me in getting this condo and back to my feet even despite the powers I possess.

I thought that everything was finally fine between the both of them now, there was rage that raided Kael's eyes like Cassian was a curse he didn't want near me.

But I had invited Cassian here and whatever was the issue between the both of them again, we would get it fixed.

I opened the door and Cassian stood right at the door, both his hands holding the groceries with a warmth smile on his face.

“Can I come in?”

“Of course, come inside!” I ushered him, he stepped in while I collected both bags he was carrying but as soon as his eyes landed on Kael who was standing opposite the door, all the smiles on his face faded away.

“What is he doing here?”

“I invited him the same way I invited you, do you have a problem with that?”

“Of course I do!” Cassian growled and walked closer to me like he was trying to take possession.

“If you want to spend time with him, then it's fine, but you can't do that when I am here!”

Cassian ordered while Kael was still staring directly at him with both his hands folded like he was waiting for the right to act.

I took the bags to the kitchen and once I returned to the living room, I was finally ready to face both of them.

“Both of you listen to me. I had invited you both over because something good happened in my life after all of this mess and then I expected you to be happy for me and now this is what I get?”

“I am happy for you but I told you, vampires like to claim what doesn't belong to them” Kael chipped in an accusing tone.

“And what is that which doesn't belong to me if I may ask?” Cassian immediately fired back.

“You claim she is your soul mate and yet you have nothing to prove it, that is the thing with your kind, making claims with no proof whereas a vampire can always prove their bond with their mate…..”

“And you think that I need to prove my bond with her to a low life creature like you, why do you keep referring to my kind like that knowing that it's the werewolves that are the murderers!"

“Enough!” I yelled at the top of my voice just before Kael spoke again, both of their faces had turned red and with the way this was going, I wouldn't be surprised if they engaged in a physical combat the next minute.

“How can the both of you do this to me, are you both kids, you are leaders in your both respective ways, I don't know what the issues you have and hers I was thinking that you both would set aside your difference and be there for me, but I guess I was wronged”

I lowered my head, fighting the tears that accompanied the disappointment that I felt and started walking to my room.

“Serena! Serene!!” Kael called out and once I was in my room, I tucked onto my bed and covered myself with the blanket.

It didn't take long before a knock came at the door and once it did, the door swung open.

“Serena!” It was Cassian's voice calling out to me tenderly like he was not the same person that was yelling so loud earlier.

Seeing I didn't respond, he curled into my bed and wrapped his arms around me.

“You smell so nice” he inhaled while ruffling his nose around my hair but I still ignored him.

“Get away from me Cassian, I am not playing that game with you”

“And I don't have any plans of paying any games with you, I just want to be with you and congratulate you on your new job even though I am starving”

His last word was what finally got me, I turned around and stared at him with a remorseful look.

“I was going to cook for the both of you but you both think ruined it all”

“I am sorry we brought you to our feud” he groans, traces kisses around my neck. “Gosh, your blood smells so nice that I feel like taking a sip.

“I don't want that” I responded just immediately while staring directly at him and even with a small smile on my face, I knew that he could read my mind, he could tell that I was afraid of what he might do to me if he takes even just a sip of my blood.

“Why is that, you think that I would hurt you?”

“Of course not! I know that you would never hurt me, it's just that…..” I paused, biting my lower lip while I struggled with the right words to express myself.

Cassian could sense my reluctance, he leaned closer to me, his hand tight around my waist and began to kiss me. But it didn't stop there, he went straight to my breast and as his lips touched my lips, I quivered, surges of pleasure swept through me.

“You need to stop, I am not done talking to you”

“I know, go ahead, I am listening”

“I thought that You and Kael were now on good terms, what happened again?”

“He wants me to form an alliance, to help him because his position is about to be challenged”

“He is the Lycan king, how can anyone dare to challenge him?”

“I don't know how the werewolf system works and I have no intention of finding out, how about we forget all about that, I am already so hard for you”

He whispered the last words and I could feel myself wet underneath. Cassian began to ruffle with both my breasts, I held his head and shut my eyes, moaning softly so that Kael wouldn't hear us.

But no matter how silent I thought I was, that was a waste of time because Kael is a werewolf and there was no way he wouldn't sense my arousal.

Just then, I noticed someone standing at the door. I couldn't tell how long he had been there watching, but I knew that Cassian was aware of his presence all this while and was enjoying watching.

“What the fuck is going on here!” Kael growled as his eyes turned bright red while he remained standing at the door staring at Cassian like he would devour him the next minute.
