Chapter 191

Chapter 191
AMELIA

“So where are you going?” Gaia asked. She’d been spending some time with Ren and Theia while Nora was trying to fix the broken relationship she had with her father. With Victor in the council jail, there was no threat to Alec anymore.

“I don’t know yet.” I looked at the three of them. “Please, take care of each other. The greater demon might be gone, but there are still a lot of bad people out there. Maybe the good citizens could use your help.”

“I’m gonna miss you.” Theia hugged me. “Don’t be gone too long, okay?”

“I won’t, but you should go and be with the Caltech dropout.”

“I will. Ren doesn’t need a driver anymore. He’s the monkey king after all.” She got a groan from Ren. “Gaia and he will start a new adventure anyway.”

“I have to go.” I hugged Ren tight. “Thanks for not giving up on me. You always have a place in the pack. I love you, Ren. I’ll see you soon.”

“I love you, too, Amelia. Don’t be a stranger. Visit the Raito house once in a while.”

“Once I figure out what to do with my life, I will.” I hugged Gaia, too. “Take care of each other. And I like you already.”

“I like you, too, angel.” She smiled meaningfully. “Isn’t that how the alpha king calls you?”

I saw Ryden over her shoulder. He just arrived on his bike. He kissed me hard, making Gaia and Theia giggle. “Here. Take this. I know you won’t use the card, but maybe you need some cash.”

“Thanks.” I chuckled as I gave him a paper. “Give this to Lucius, will you?”

“Is this a love letter?”

“No, baby.” When it felt too much that my heart could explode at any moment, I drew a deep breath. “Thank care of the pack while I’m away, okay? And always remember, I think of you every day.”

“I love you, Amelia.” Before we could pull apart, his phone vibrated in his jacket. When he checked from whom the message came, he said, “Speaking of the devil.”

Two days later, I arrived back at the Elysian temple, where I trained for about a year. When Ren brought me here more than two years ago, it took us a day to climb up the mountain on foot. It was exhausting. The muscles in my legs were sore. My feet blistered despite my fast healing.

Nothing had changed in this place except for the cherry blossoms even in almost winter. They were beautiful, almost surreal. This place had always felt magical to me.

Under the tree, I sat down and prayed. Then I began to meditate, hoping to meet Sensei again. I closed my eyes and exhaled a breath. I instantly felt his presence, but he seemed different than the last time I saw him.

I cracked my eyes open to see my father sitting across from me. My jaw dropped as I stared at him in shock.

“Father, how are you even here?” I reached out for his hand, and for the first time, since I remembered everything, I got to hold him. “Is that really you?”

“Yes, my child. Why are you here?” He was smiling, and he looked handsome, the same age as the photo and the memories I had about him.

“I don’t know. I need to find my purpose now that the demons are in hell. I want to know what to do with my gifts and my power. What should I do, Dad?”

He smiled. “You remember.”

“Yes.”

“Then go home, Amelia. Your purpose is there. You’ve accomplished something far greater than anyone. It’s time for you to live normally, like your age.”

“Technically, I’m forty.” I chuckled as I caressed his hands. “Why don’t you come with me?”

“I don’t belong there or anywhere, my child. I will go back to Citadel.”

“You mean the Silver City?” It was so calm and comfortable talking to him like we’d never missed twenty years of my life.

“Yes.”

“How many are we?”

“Not as many as before, but your kind do exist among humans, but you alone with pure blood.”

“I don’t understand. I’m half-blood. So you mean, they’re the grandchildren of angels?”

“Yes, and your children will be one of them.”

“Dad, you have the elixir or essence that brought me back to life, why didn’t you use it on my mother?”

“I was forbidden to interfere her death, and it will change the shape of your future, and the future of humans and other beings. Her death didn’t go in vain, Amelia. She made a huge difference.”

I raised a finger. “One quick question.”

He smiled. “It wouldn’t be you if you won’t ask.”

“How do I have two mates, Dad? I died days ago, will I meet another mate?”

“It’s a circumstance the Moon Goddess hadn’t seen.”

“Wait. Did she make a mistake? That’s impossible.”

“It wasn’t a mistake. People have loved others at the same time. What’s what made love phenomenal and unique? I know you’re confused, but can you choose between them?”

I stared at him for seconds, and I couldn’t give him an answer.

“That’s what I thought. You love them both unconditionally, and there’s nothing wrong with that. Some human laws made it look unconventional, but it isn’t. You can’t teach your heart to love only one person and you shouldn’t.”

“What should I do?”

“Amelia, you’re the only one who can answer that.” He squeezed my hands. “Follow your heart, my dear child. That’s the only advice you need.”

“Thanks.” I smiled at him. “Where’s my Sensei?”

One moment he looked like my father, in the blink of an eye, he looked like my Sensei.

My jaw dropped. “Holy. So the Sensei who has been teaching me for months, it was you the whole time?”

“No, child. It was your Sensei, but I told him to build this sanctuary for people who can make a difference in this world. Since the darkness had infiltrated the Enochian, I had to do something, train special people to fight against it. Why don’t you run Enochian?”

“Me?” I pointed at myself. “I’m not a good follower, let alone a leader, but Enochian is better than the SEO. Enochian Order.”

“It’s Enochian Institute.”

“Wow. That’s even better.” I smiled. “But I know someone who’s qualified enough to run something better, like the Enochian Institute.”

“I know, Amelia.”

I picked up the sword and offered it to him. “I don’t need this anymore.”

He smiled. “Then the more you should have it.” He took it with both hands and gripped the handle.

I sucked in a breath as it changed into a smaller version, the same size as a dagger. “How do you do that?”

“You haven’t figured that out?” There was a humor in his voice making me frown. “The sword will always fit to your lifestyle.”

“Really?” When he offered it back, I held it and turned it back to its size. “Damn it.”

I have been back in the country for two days now, and I haven’t informed anyone. I’d been staying in a cheap hotel room as I gathered some information about the old members of Enochian with clean reps, and I started with Hawk.

As I got into the hotel room, I sensed that someone was there before I arrived. The aromatic scent instantly hit my nostrils. “You can stop hiding in the shadow now.” I shut the door close.

Lucius quickly came to me and pressed me against the door with every ridge and muscle of his body. His hand came behind my neck, the other cupping my ass, trapping me in his arms.

“Good to see you, too, Alexander.” I was already panting. My skin tightened as his presence flooded through my head, and my system, making my heart thud in my chest.

“You never called me that.”

“I did actually. That’s how I called you in my first life.”

“Shut up, angel.” Lucius crushed his mouth against mine and kissed me hard. He sucked the gasp that escaped from me, driving his tongue deep into my mouth, exploring, eating me as if he’d never tasted anything as delicious as my mouth, sending hunger pulses between my legs. He then grabbed my thigh, wrapping my leg around his waist before rocking his hips against my now throbbing core.

I fist my fingers in his hair, rolling my hips against his. Then he cupped my breast, kneading it through my t-shirt and bra, pinching the nipple hard enough for me to arch my chest towards his. The heavy ridge of his erection pressed against where I ached for him.

He broke the kiss as I moaned. Panting, I squirmed against his searing gaze.

“Please?” I begged.

He glanced at me, surprised, pleasure and lust mixing in his gaze. “What do you want, angel?”
