Chapter 86 Chapter 87
When they got back home that evening, the house was quiet at first. Savannah carried the baby carefully in her arms while Adrian held the door open for her. Everything felt peaceful — until Aunt Lisa’s voice echoed from the living room.
“Ah, my children, you’re back!” she said, standing up from the couch. “Where did you two disappear to since morning?”
Savannah smiled softly. “We just went out to relax a little.”
Aunt Lisa’s sharp eyes went straight to Savannah’s hand. “Wait—wait a minute!” she gasped, pointing. “What is that on your finger?!”
Savannah froze, her cheeks turning pink. Adrian tried to hide a smile, but it was too late. Aunt Lisa ran closer, her mouth wide open. “Is that… is that what I think it is?!”
Savannah blushed, nodding shyly. “Yes, Auntie.”
Aunt Lisa screamed in excitement. “Ahhh! Praise the Lord! He has finally done it!”
She started clapping and shouting, drawing the attention of the maids. Within seconds, everyone rushed into the sitting room.
“What happened?” one of the maids asked.
Aunt Lisa grabbed Savannah’s hand and raised it high. “Look at this ring! My son has proposed!”
The room erupted with noise — laughter, cheers, and joyful chatter.
“Oh my God, it’s so beautiful!” one maid said, bending to look closely at the ring.
“She really deserves it,” another added, smiling warmly.
Adrian just stood there, laughing quietly as everyone surrounded Savannah, congratulating her.
Aunt Lisa turned to him and hit his shoulder playfully. “Adrian! You sly man! You didn’t even tell me you were planning this!”
He chuckled. “I wanted it to be a surprise, Aunt.”
“Well, it worked!” she said proudly. “You’ve made me the happiest woman today. I knew you two were meant for each other.”
Savannah couldn’t stop smiling. Her heart was full seeing how everyone reacted — the happiness, the laughter, the love in the air.
Then Aunt Lisa suddenly clapped her hands again. “Wait! We must celebrate this moment properly. Go and bring drinks! All of you!”
“Yes, ma’am!” the maids answered at once and rushed off, giggling like children.
Within minutes, bottles of soft drinks and juice were placed on the table. Aunt Lisa raised her glass high. “To Adrian and Savannah — the newest couple in town!”
“Cheers!” everyone shouted, raising their glasses.
The maids laughed and danced around the room while Aunt Lisa sang a short praise song, moving her hands joyfully. Even Adrian couldn’t help but laugh at her excitement.
He leaned toward Savannah and whispered, “She’s happier than we are.”
Savannah giggled. “I think so too.”
The baby began to cry softly, and one of the maids quickly helped carry him while Savannah sat down beside Adrian. The maids danced around, clinking glasses together, while Aunt Lisa started taking pictures with her phone.
“You two look perfect!” she said. “This one is for memory.”
Adrian and Savannah smiled for the camera, sitting close together. The flash blinked, freezing the moment in time — a picture of pure happiness.
After a while, Aunt Lisa sat down, still smiling. “So when are we fixing the wedding date, hmm?”
Savannah laughed nervously. “Auntie, we haven’t talked about that yet.”
“Well, start talking soon o,” she teased. “Because I’ve already seen the dress you’ll wear in my dream!”
Everyone burst into laughter.
Adrian put his arm around Savannah’s shoulder and kissed her forehead. “We’ll talk about it, Aunt. Don’t worry.”
As the evening grew quiet again, Savannah leaned against him. The laughter still echoed through the house. The maids were still whispering excitedly, and Aunt Lisa was on the phone, already telling someone the good news.
Savannah looked at the ring again and smiled. “I can’t believe this is happening,” she whispered.
Adrian turned to her. “Believe it, love. You deserve all of it.”
She smiled softly. “And you’ve given me more than I ever dreamed of.”
That night, the whole house felt alive. Joy filled every corner. The maids danced and laughed till late, Aunt Lisa kept talking about wedding colors, and Adrian watched the woman he loved glowing with happiness.
For once, everything felt right — no fear, no pain, just love, laughter, and a promise that tomorrow would be even brighter.
