Chapter 81 Chapter 81
The next morning, the sun was bright, and the air smelled fresh. The hospital was quiet when Adrian walked into Savannah’s room with a wide smile.
“Good morning, Mama,” he said softly, standing by her bed.
Savannah smiled weakly, still holding the tiny baby close to her chest. “Good morning,” she whispered. Her voice was soft, tired but full of peace.
The nurse came in and said, “She can go home today, sir. Both mother and baby are doing fine.”
Adrian’s face brightened. “That’s good news,” he said. He turned to Savannah, his voice gentle. “Ready to go home?”
Savannah nodded slowly. “Yes… I miss the house already.”
Adrian laughed lightly. “Then let’s take our little prince home.”
He went outside and made a few calls. Within minutes, two maids came in carrying a soft baby carrier and a small blanket. They helped Savannah sit up and placed the baby carefully inside.
When they stepped outside, the hospital staff smiled and congratulated them. Adrian opened the car door for her, helping her inside like she was made of glass.
The drive home was quiet. Savannah kept looking down at the baby, touching his tiny hands. Adrian kept glancing at her from the driver’s seat, smiling every now and then.
After about twenty minutes, they reached the mansion. The gate opened wide, and all the maids and guards stood at the entrance.
“Welcome home, Madam Savannah!” they shouted happily.
Savannah was shocked. Her mouth opened a little as she looked around. The place was decorated with balloons and flowers. Even the fountain had pink ribbons hanging around it.
She looked at Adrian in surprise. “You did this?”
He smiled softly. “Of course. You deserve it.”
Tears filled her eyes. “You shouldn’t have done all this.”
Adrian touched her shoulder gently. “I wanted to. You’ve been through a lot. It’s time you smiled again.”
As soon as they stepped out of the car, aunty Lisa came running with excitement. “My baby girl is back!” she shouted. “Let me see the angel!”
Savannah laughed softly as aunty Lisa gently took the baby into her arms. “Oh my God,” she said, smiling wide. “He’s so cute! Just look at this tiny face!”
The maids clapped and laughed around them. Another maid brought out a tray of drinks and snacks for everyone.
Adrian stood there smiling proudly, watching the joy around him. For the first time in a long while, the mansion felt like a real home.
Aunty Lisa handed the baby back to Savannah and looked at Adrian. “You did well, my son. This house feels alive again. Just look at the joy on her face.”
Adrian nodded quietly, his eyes fixed on Savannah. “She deserves all of it.”
They walked inside together. The maids followed, still smiling. In the living room, a new baby cot had been placed near the sofa, and small gifts were lined up everywhere — toys, baby clothes, and soft blankets.
Savannah looked around, speechless. “Adrian… how did you do all this so fast?”
He smiled, scratching the back of his neck. “Let’s just say, I’ve been preparing for this day for a long time.”
She turned to him, her eyes soft. “You’re too kind to me.”
He shook his head gently. “No, I’m just doing what’s right.”
Savannah placed the baby in the cot carefully. The tiny boy was already asleep, his little chest rising and falling slowly.
Aunty Lisa came close again, whispering with a grin, “So what’s his name, hmm?”
Savannah smiled. “I haven’t thought of one yet.”
Adrian looked at the baby and said softly, “What about Liam? It means strong protector.”
Savannah looked at him for a moment, then smiled. “Liam… it sounds perfect.”
Aunty Lisa clapped her hands. “Liam it is! Welcome home, little Liam!”
Everyone laughed and cheered. The sound filled the mansion with warmth.
Later that evening, after everyone had gone back to work, Savannah sat on the balcony with Adrian. The baby was sleeping inside, and the night breeze was cool.
“Thank you, Adrian,” she said quietly. “For everything — for being here, for caring.”
He looked at her softly. “You don’t have to thank me. I’m just happy you’re both safe.”
Savannah turned to look at him. “You’ve given me more than I ever expected in life.”
Adrian smiled faintly. “And you’ve given me something I never had — peace.”
There was silence between them for a moment, only the sound of the night birds around. Savannah looked up at the stars and sighed. “I feel like I’m finally home.”
Adrian looked at her and whispered, “You are home, Savannah. You and Liam are my family now.”
Her eyes met his, and she smiled softly, her heart full of quiet happiness.
That night, the mansion slept peacefully — a mother, a child, and a man who had finally found love where he least expected it.
