151 Not Passing Crush...
Her nervousness was impossible not to sense. It showed in every restless movement, in her uneven breathing, her racing heartbeat, and the way her eyes kept dropping to the floor. On top of that, she was panicking, and now I finally understood why.
I had to admit—Lakisha had only become more beautiful. Motherhood suited her in the most striking way. She had grown even more feminine—her breasts fuller, her hips deliciously rounder. The blonde had blossomed into a radiant flower, impossible for me to look away from. And God, how glad I was that Zavir had dragged Tanya away, leaving his sister alone with me.
I was overjoyed—like a little puppy!
I craved her company, her attention, even if just for a few moments. I couldn’t stop talking, babbling on about everything and nothing, just to keep her there longer, just to see those brilliant, interested eyes fixed on me.
When I finally walked Lakisha to her hotel room door, I simply couldn’t let her go. I couldn’t. That was it.
And she… she allowed me to love her all night long. But by dawn, when I had finally fallen asleep, she slipped away and checked out of the hotel, leaving nothing but a short note behind: “I’m sorry, but I’m not alone.”
If I had been a woman, I would’ve said I’d been used again. And once again—rejected.
But this time, something inside me shattered. I completely lost my peace of mind. For almost a week, I walked around like a zombie, burning up with emotions I couldn’t control.
I couldn’t let her slip away again.
If things were truly perfect with that cheater of hers, she wouldn’t have let me touch her at all. Sure, the first time, they were fighting, but that last night… I could feel it clearly—she had feelings for me. And it tore my soul apart.
That was the moment I decided: I would fight for the woman I loved.
So what if she has a child from another man! There are no “other people’s” children. I’ll raise him and love him as my own.
Look at how seriously I took the role of Tanya’s guardian! I even let the little one practice Alina’s wolf-disabling techniques on me. Sure, Tanya isn’t exactly a toddler, but still—I’ll learn! For the sake of the woman I love, I’m ready to become a master at raising children, and much more!
But first, I needed to take a look at the idiot Lakisha supposedly cheated on with me. Maybe he was just a complete fool who didn’t value my girl at all. After all, there was a child, and if her guy had asked Lakisha to marry him, rumors like that would’ve definitely reached me. But no—what I saw instead was total irresponsibility on his part! Meanwhile, I was ready to carry her in my arms.
When I showed up unannounced, I saw a few mothers chatting near the playground, and among them—the one for whom I’d do anything.
As I walked closer to greet them, a storm of emotions hit me when I spotted a little boy peeking out from behind Lakisha’s legs. We noticed each other a few moments before the chatting women even realized what was going on.
Lakisha’s mouth opened and closed soundlessly, her face pale as chalk, while I burned red with anger. Did she ever even plan to tell me that I had a child?
“I have nothing to say to you,” the blonde lifted her tear-filled eyes to me, pain in every glance. “This is my child!”
“Does your lover know?” I hissed, catching the shocked expressions on Alina’s and Jasmine’s faces.
“There’s no one,” Lakisha admitted quietly, a tear sliding down her cheek. “There never was.”
I was so furious I could hardly put it into words, but at the same time, the revelation that there had never been any man… eased my heart just a little.
Alright, not just a little, but very much so. And I also realized that what’s overflowing inside me right now is the joy of knowing I’m the father of her child.
“But why didn’t you tell me?” I ask in frustration.
“Why would you need these problems?” my little cat scoffs, tilting her chin up defiantly. “I wanted a child, I got one, and it doesn’t matter where the biomaterial came from!”
Oh, so that’s how she’s playing it now! The stubborn goat! I can push back too.
“Is that so?” I press my lips together. “Luna Alina,” I deliberately emphasize her friend’s status, keeping my eyes fixed on the blonde. “Lakisha is my mate! I’m declaring it here and now, with witnesses! Where’s Wayland? I’m ready for the consequences!”
