Chapter 96 Chapter 97
Selena
“Why didn't you follow your mom? Does she know that you are outside?” I asked the little boy. He shook his head and then smiled.
Well, it’s not like the smile has left his face since.
I looked away from him to Theodore, who stood by the wall, his gaze on us. He was annoyed, there was no doubt with the way his brows furrowed when he looked down on the boy.
He was cute.
“Mother isn't aware that I left. I came out because of you.” He answered and I raised my brows at that.
“Why?”
His head lowered a bit, and I wondered if it was shyness. He couldn't be shy now.
“You are beautiful.” He suddenly raised his head and smiled warmly, and I couldn’t help but return it.
“Thank youuu.” My hands itched to touch his face, and it took everything in me not to. His mother might turn out not to be as friendly.
“So that’s why you came out, aren’t you so cute,” I spoke in a little voice and he giggled.
“But..” He stopped giggling and turned back to Theodore, who raised his brows at us.
“What is he? Is he your boyfriend?”
Boyfriend? I bit my lips, my eyes still on Theodore. How will I answer that?
Theodore hasn’t said anything about that. When both people are already this attached, isn’t it right to give it a name?
What does he think? I wondered.
I shifted my gaze to meet the little boy. Now that I’m looking at him, he seems like a foreigner. Maybe a tourist.
“What’s your name?” I asked, taking his hands in mine.
He pursed his lips, and then. “Andrew. That’s my name.”
I smiled. “That’s a cute name, Andrew. How old are you?”
“Twelve, I’ll be thirteen this year.”
“Ohh,” I nodded. Andrew looked smaller in figure. Josh was far smaller than his age too.
“You are a big boy.”
He laughed.
I drew closer to him. “ What does it seem to you? Does it look like we are dating?” I asked him, turning my brow to Theo’s direction.
Andrew shook his head and I almost gasped.
“I don’t think you should date someone like him. Mother says to avoid people like him.”
I felt my brows draw together. “Why? I don’t think he looks bad, he is handsome.” I tried smiling.
Andrew turned to look at Theo again, then back to me. “He is, but he looks dangerous. You shouldn’t be with someone dangerous. Mother always says they’ll lead you to trouble some days.”
My eyes were fixed on Theodore’s eyes. Was it because Theo was frowning?
But if someone as little as Andrew could say this, what does it mean?
“Andrew!”
I flinched at the sudden loud voice. Looking around, people seem to have the same reaction as me.
“Mommy.”
I looked down on Andrew who beamed looking forward. I followed his gaze, and an equally blonde woman stood, shopping bags in her hands. She held a frown.
“Oh my God, Andrew.” She ran towards us and I moved forward to assist her.
Andrew doesn’t stop giggling.
“I’m so sorry miss,” She held Andrew, dragging him to her side.
“You don’t have to apologize, he did nothing wrong except for being adorable. He only stepped out because you were inside, shopping.” I smiled warmly to assure her.
“Really? My God. Andrew is fond of it, he always approaches anyone who’s good-looking. I don’t know what to do with him.” She sighed tiredly, then she turned to Theodore’s and she swallowed.
Why? What does her face convey to be scared?
“Ha ha, He’s just a kid, he’ll get over it. That’s how kids are,” I spoke, and she turned to me with a smile.
“If he didn’t cause a nuisance, I’ll be leaving then. Let's go, Andrew.”
Andrew pouted, his eyes on me and I couldn’t help but smile warmly at him.
He pulled his hand away from his mom and walked closer to me despite his mother’s call of his name.
He started stretching up, his toes tipping to the floor. Seeing his struggle, I moved down to his height, and he placed his head close to my ear.
“If you don’t want him again, I can marry you. My dad has many houses.” He said cutely and I could only burst out laughing.
I nodded after. “I’ll do that, but Theodore isn’t a dangerous man. He’s kind and takes care of me, so it might be hard leaving him.” I whispered back to him and he pouted again.
How endearing.
“Take care of yourself, little one,” I said to him, and his mother took his hand.
“Thank you for taking care of him.” She said, and then she walked away with him, but Andrew kept looking back till he was out of sight.
“I thought he wasn’t going to leave.”
I turned to see Theodore by my side. I didn’t even realize when he got beside me.
I directed my smile at him and stepped closer to stand in front of him. “You don’t like kids?” I don’t know why he gave that demeanor.
“I don’t.”
Something about his tone says I shouldn’t ask him about it.
He won’t give me an answer if I do either way.
“You know, Andrew asked a question.” I closed the distance between us, our clothes touching. “He asked if you were my boyfriend.”
I waited for his answer to it. What was he going to say?
But his face held nothing. No answer.
What was I expecting him to say?
We are dating?
I pursed my lips.
“You don’t have to be silent about it, we may not be dat—“
He took a step closer, his hand wrapped my neck, and pulled me closer to meet his lips.
Slowly, his tongue rubbed against mine. He tasted mint. I moaned against his lips when his tongue licked my chin.
His hands moved rubbing my neck.
It felt so good, my head exploding at all the emotions swirling in me. And then, I felt his hand move inside my shirt.
My eyes snapped open.
We were in an open space, people moving around. Some gave weird stares.
Oh God, I can’t believe I got so wet in such an environment.
“We should stop n….” I looked down and froze. I must have been so consumed that I had failed to notice the tint of his pants.
“You are hard,” I whispered. But unlike my panicking heart, he smirked.
“You have to take care of it, Selena.”
