Chapter 64 Chapter 64
Theodore
An hour before
“Boss, are we going to Ms. Selena already? But you just finished the match and your leg is wounded. Damn that Sergei, He just had to buy a new person for his team.”
Zac had been talking since I left the changing room. I don't know why everyone has turned talkative, blabbing around.
“But too bad, you had him, boss. I even placed a few gold bars that you had won. Those Idiots don't know how you can be.”
Something has to be wrong with the training these days.
“Zac, do you have something on fire in your mouth?” I asked, entering the car. He closed it, running to the other side to drive.
“No boss, I guess I’ve spoken too much.”
With that, he drove quietly.
Sergi's boy might never recover, I had made sure by hitting his vital point, though he had successfully landed a kick to my leg.
I could feel a little pain from it. It was going to be better soon.
Now I just need to see Selena and everything will be fine. But she might be sleeping.
That’s fine.
As always, I could just spend the night in front of her apartment.
“We are here, boss.”
I opened my eyes, and truly we were in front of Selena’s apartment.
“Are we staying here for the night again?” Zac asked, taking off his jacket.
He already knows. Why bother to ask?
“You know boss, Ms. Selena is the safest person right now, she got our boss watching over—”
I turned to him, and he pressed his lips together.
Selena’s window was open, yet the lights were turned off.
My brows tightened.
Was she sleeping or not?
Usually, when she was asleep, she had closed the door and then switched off the light, but now the window was open.
“Boss, will you be staying awake till morning again? I can watch over for you. Why don't you just ask her to move in with you?” He murmured the last part.
“Zac,” I called, looking at her window.
Something was wrong.
“I’ll be quiet now boss.”
“Go to her room.”
“What?” He raised his voice.
“ I’m sorry for that boss. What I mean is, you want me to sneak into Ms. Selena’s room?”
Idiot.
“No, just her door. Go to her and act like a delivery person. Make sure not to startle her.”
The car grew silent, he didn't move.
“I’m not trying to defy you boss, but I’m wearing a suit. How would she believe I am a delivery guy?”
I turned to look at him.
“Find an excuse, now get out.”
He didn't say anything, he got down and I watched as he walked down the road.
He knew how to disguise.
He will find someone to swap his shirt with and then pay them.
And that was what he did, he came back wearing a black T-shirt, before he entered the building.
I waited.
Five minutes passed, yet the light wasn't turned on.
If she were asleep, continuous knocking would wake her, because she sleeps lightly.
Zac jogged down from the building, his face distressed.
I rolled down the window.
“Boss, Ms. Selena seemed to be abducted from her room. There are signs of struggle, things on the floor in her apartment.”
My sight went dark.
Calls were made.
I called the owner of the building asking for the CCTV footage of the building.
There wasn't any.
Terror.
A mental note was that she was leaving the building immediately she was found.
A dashcam of cars nearby was searched. And then I found a car.
There was something unusual about it.
Calls were made to the national office. To find Selena. To track down the car.
Whoever was involved was going to die.
Disgust.
Anger.
Hatred.
Covered my sight as I stared at the scene before me.
Selena on the floor, blood on her face, her body.
She is frozen in place even with all the ruckus in the room.
I had shot the dick of the one that had knelt between her legs. But I wasn't satisfied.
Not with my eyes covered in blood. Not with Selena almost naked to their eyesight. not with her eyes widened like she was seeing a ghost, a trance.
I was going to destroy them.
Zac moved before me to her, dragging the dead fool away from her.
I could hear everything, the other men crying, Valeria pleading. She had taken me lightenly and I had underestimated her.
I should have killed her the first time she hurt Selena.
I should have set her skin ablaze.
I could hear everything, but the darkness in my head refused to exonerate as I drew closer to Selena.
“How cruel.” She muttered, her voice low, but I heard her.
Why was she like this? Why were her hands to her side? What was she seeing to tear up so badly?
I have seen people. See all types of horror. But hers hung at my chest, scrambled my world into more darkness.
“Selena.”
My knees met the floor, my hands shook, trembling for fear of touching her badly.
Fear of hurting her.
What if she was in a state I shouldn't touch? What if I bring more harm to her?
“Please let me go.” She murmured again. Her voice breaking.
I leaned towards her, and wrapped my hands around her back, lifting her to sit.
Yet she doesn't move.
Blood was on her.
It was dirty.
I have always envisioned it on her.
How the redness of blood would look so good on her while I paint her.
But now, it was sickening watching the redness and her empty look.
“Zac,”
“Yes, boss.”
“Call the doctor to the penthouse, and take off your shirt.”
“Noted boss.”
His shirt was given to me.
My other arm around her back, I cleaned her face, chest, and thighs.
“Keep the shirt.” I handed it over to Zac, and pulled my jacket, wrapping it around her, then my arms went around her back and her thigh.
I lifted her. Yet nothing.
She doesn't move, her gaze remains blank.
Zac followed after me. “The boys have taken them all boss, who should we do to them?”
“Cut their fingers and let them wait for me.”
The door opened and I stepped out with Selena in my arms to the car.
I entered the car.
“Selena.”
