Chapter 214 Chapter 214
Chapter 214 Chapter 214
Theo
I stared at the car in front of me, at the guard dressed in a suit inside the car and another on the driving seat.
Noah sent them.
He knew where I was to send them. Just like how he knew when Selena left home.
Hannah.
I should have destroyed both of them earlier.
I turned back to the building, and I could tell some of my men were watching from the dark.
If my logic was correct, then Noah knew my men would follow me.
I couldn't risk Selena.
I sent a message to Ethan.
“Tell all the men to remain on standby. No one is allowed to follow me.”
“Please hand over your phone.” The man said from inside, his hand stretched towards me, and just then my phone beeped with Ethan's message.
“You know it’s a trap. Please, don't follow them, Theo.”
I knew that tone.
I sighed.
I could easily kill the two men or hold them hostage, make them take me to Selena, but it would only bring harm to Selena.
I placed the phone in his hand and entered the car.
The driver adjusted, his eyes drifting in the rearview mirror.
He was terrified.
They both were.
“I....I will have to put this on you.” The one beside me stammered as he drew closer to me, a sack in his hands.
Ridiculous..
I clenched my hand over my pants.
For Selena.
I closed my eyes, allowing the sack to go over my head, his hands trembling.
The car started moving and silence filled the car.
I gritted my teeth as I was pushed forward.
“You should walk straight.” It was a different voice, more joined, laughing.
Where was I?
Was Selena here?
“You both did well bringing him here.”
“Ah ah..” The voice was definitely from the one who placed the sack on my head. “It was easy bringing him here..” He continued laughing and someone scoffed.
“You fucking wanted to piss yourself before even touching him earlier.” The driver.
“You speak like you weren't scared yourself.” They fired at each other.
Another presence joined them. I could tell he was higher than the rest.“It’s expected you were scared of him. This’s Theodore Mateo. Anyone would be scared.”
“Take him.” He said and the next thing my arm was grabbed and someone pushed my head down, dragging me forward.
They were bold, but lucky.
The environment was quiet like an isolated place. While coming I could hear waves.
The sea.
“What do we have here?”
Noah.
I gritted my teeth as fury burned through every part of me.
“Take it off him.”
The sack was pulled off my head, and then my eyes took in the environment.
An old warehouse, and then.. Noah and beside him was Hannah. She was in a wheelchair, while Noah held crutches.
I smirked.
If only I had finished it, then they wouldn't have come for Selena.
“Where is she?” I asked, my focus on Noah.
“You are really going to ignore me?” Hannah said, her voice in disbelief, but my focus only remained on Noah.
He smiled.
“Selena isn't yours you know. She was mine before you came. No…she has always been mine.”
I shouldn't get angry. I shouldn't, but the sound of him labeling Selena as his, twisted every part of my soul.
He started laughing.
“It's so hilarious seeing your face that way. What can you do? Absolutely nothing.” He started laughing again. “Lord, I never thought I would be seeing this day. I have dreamed of it since you took Selena from me. humiliated me and my father.” He clapped his hands and suddenly the light turned off and a large screen appeared.
“I wonder what little Miss Selena was doing?”
Selena.
I stared at the screen waiting to see her. Praying nothing was wrong with her.
Something was.
Selena was on the bed, a gun pointed at her head. She looked at the screen, fear in her eyes yet she smiled like she knew I was watching her and then the screen went blank.
I closed my eyes and swallowed. “What do you want?”
“What does it look like?…” He ticked his teeth and then he moved towards me.
“I want you out of the picture, then Selena will be mine.” He smiled.
I will fucking kill him.
“What are you going to use that pregnant hag for?” Hannah spoke.
I should have killed her.
“Don't say that.” He moved away from me to Hannah then he bent to her level, “Once I'm done with him, I’ll make her abort then she will be mine again, but that's if she behaves. If not, I might just kill her.”
It doesn't matter.
I will just kill them.
“Drop your gun and kneel.” He suddenly said and my eyes widened.
“Are you surprised?” He started laughing. “I’m not joking though.” He pointed to Hannah. “Hannah here really wants to kill Selena, but I’m not letting her….For now. Take off all your weapons and kneel, then you’ll secure Selena’s life.”
Hannah could hurt Selena, I didn't have to look at her to know her thoughts. There was no way out.
The image of Selena being at gun shot appeared in my head and a sharp pain shot through me.
“Can I trust you that you’ll keep Selena safe?” I asked and he beamed.
“If only you do what I say. Without a fight of course, then I promise that I’ll own her without a mark on her beautiful skin.” He smirked, and my gaze hardened.
Though I hated him, I knew he wanted Selena.
Selena was in his hands. I needed to delay them..until Rayan was able to reach her..
I took out my gun from my pocket and placed it on the floor.. slowly.
Bowing down to them? I have never done that. Others do. Men have always knelt and begged for me to spare them once I decided their lives were done for.
“It must be hard for the great mafia to go down on its knees. Should I ask my men to shoot Selena on the leg? One shot won't kill a pregnant woman.” He laughed.
My body trembled at his words, and I wondered why. Maybe it was the helplessness of not being able to hurt him.
My knees met the floor.
And just then I heard the loud sounds of men approaching.
“His is all yours..” Noah said.
