Fifty Four

After a few hours, Dionne and Lennox is still in the living room sitting and hugging each other.

"Let's date," Lennox told her.

He didn't expect what Lennox said right now.

"How about Baby Denise?" she asked.

"Let's leave it to Lilian for a while. Maybe she will agree," answered Lennox.

"Okay. I'm going to get dressed first. I'll also prepare what you'll wear," Dionne said with a smile.

"Okay. Thank you," Lennox answered and kissed her lips.

She smiled and walked up the stairs. She entered Lennox's room first to get his clothes now. When it was ready, she went out and entered her room. After a few hours, they were outside Miguel's house. Lennox rang the doorbell while carrying Baby Denise.

"Good evening, Lilian," Lennox greeted Lilian as she opened the gate for them.

"It's you guys. Come in," Lilian said smiling.

"Next time. We're here to leave Baby Denise for a while. We're just going somewhere now. If that's okay with you?" Lennox replied with a smile.

"Sure. No problem," said Lilian.

Dionne gave Baby Denise here along with her clothes and the milk she was drinking.

"Thank you, Lilian," Dionne said smiling.

"Your welcome. And be at piece that Baby is okay here at our house," answered Lilian.

After a while, they got in a car to leave their subdivision. She felt the cold of the air conditioned on her thin black whole dress.

“Hmm, can you please lower the air conditioned, babe?” Dionne said.

Then Lennox gaze fix at her and smiling.

“That’s so sweet, Dionne. Let me hear that everyday so I can have many energy going to work,” Lennox said, laughing.

“Yeah. Sure,” she replied.

Dionne she felt at ease when she didn’t feel the cold. When she look outside the close window, she is smiling upon looking at the whole place that the car heading. It’s a peaceful surroundings at all. No heavy rain about to fall, only the stars shining from above. This is the wonderful moment in her life together with the man she loves. Dionne knows that she’s okay and she’s already move on from her past love. This is her new love of life. This man deserve a true woman and a whole person who love him unconditionally. And she saw it and witness that Lennox can be a good father to her daughter Denise ever since she was born.

“Are you okay? What are you thinking?” Lennox asked while driving.

“Yeah. I’m fine. And about what I’m thinking right now is you,” Dionne replied smiling at Lennox.

“Are you sure? What about me?” Lennox asked.

“If you are happy with me. Together with my daughter,” she respond.

“Of course. It’s from the start, and I’m not feeling tired repeating it to you countless times,” Lennox answered upon looking at her and hold her hand.

Dionne felt touch and she wanted to burst in tears. She is proud to herself that she can make someone fall in love with her even she became like this.

“Thank you,” she said, teary-eyed.

“Don’t cry. You don’t have to cry. I can be your always and forever,” Lennox said, smiling.

Dionne then hug Lennox. After a long drive, they reach the restaurant. She didn’t know what hour is right now. But it’s not yet close in here.

“What time is it?” she asked when Lennox open the car door for her.

“It’s eight o’clock in the evening,” Lennox replied.

Minutes passed. They entered holding hands in the restaurant and find an empty table for them to seat. Then a waiter approach them and give a menu.

“Welcome to our restaurant, sir,” the waiter said, smiling.

“Thank you. What's your best seller here?" Lennox asked with a smile.

"There's a lot, sir. There's shrimp, crabs, meat," the man answered.

"That's it. Thank you very much," said Lennox.

"Is it okay if you wait a few minutes? We will cook it to be hot to eat," he said.

"Okay. No problem," Lennox answered sparingly.

After the waiter left, Dionne scan the place. It’s gloomy and peaceful . There are many customers ate at this hour. There’s a couple, family’s and everything. So it’s nice to go out at this hour. She remembered before that Noah didn’t bring her in this place like this and she didn’t know why. And know this is the first time that she mention the man in his mind and she didn’t feel the pain anymore. So she knows she already move on. It’s the start of her to focus in the future not the past.

“Why are you wearing that kind of dress that make you cold?” Lennox asked out of nowhere.

“We’re having a date, so It’s been better if I look more decent,” Dionne replied, smiling.

“Tsk. Even if you look simple, I’m still in love with you so don’t be scared wearing simple clothes,” Lennox laugh.

“I’m not scared. I’m confident enough,” she replied, smiling.

“I know,” he said.

“I love you,” she answered.

While waiting their foods they are talking things randomly to divert the attention. But anyway, she won’t that hungry so she can wait a little longer. Dionne thinking how excited she is upon enrolling college. And Ayesha’s fighting spirit invaded her system sp she is confident enough to study. After a minutes, their foods arrive. And she felt starving about the smile of the dish in front of her. So yummy. Later on, she dash in eating while Lennox do it too. As she can see, Lennox is so hungry but he’s not complaining, he is patiently waiting to the food arrive which is good.

After awhile, the two of them eating silently. No one dare to speak.

“Are you really hungry, babe?” Dionne asked.

“Yeah. My stomach worm started to came out and punch it,” Lennox replied, jokingly.

“Yeah. The evidence is come out,” she said.

“You should ate too. Their dish is so yummy,” Lennox said.

“Yeah,” Dionne replied.

"Thank you for accompanying here with me," he said.

Then she nod.
