Chapter 31 DORA'S PLAN
Mahina got off a cab some distance away from Alba’s mansion. Her mind was preoccupied by a lot of things. She was thinking of how to capture Alba’s heart and finally go on with her life. Although she had the solution to her problem in her hands she was hesitating. When Mahina was young her mum always told her that ‘do not start something you can’t finish.’ In as much as she wanted to make Alba fall in love with her so that she can escape him. She also didn’t want to leave him heart broken, sad and alone if he falls in love with her eventually.
“Oh man! why is Alba so stubborn. We are both going to be hurt at the end.” Mahina was abruptly startled by a voice she heard.
“What if the two of you don’t get hurt. You know what they say ‘all is well that ends well.’ Besides the ball is in your court you just have to play it in a way that at the end you both win.”
“Axel! You startled me.”
“I am sorry I didn’t know you get startled easily.”
“Well I was in my head what did you expect”
“Sorry Mahina” he smiled at her brightly as they walked back to the mansion together. The moon was shining brightly in the sky and so were the stars twinkling brightly. Axel put his arm around her shoulder and said:
“There’s something about you that’s unique and special.” Mahina chuckled and replied him:
“You could have fooled me if I was the old naïve Mahina mhmm … there is nothing special about me. I am just like any other girl with similar needs. The difference is adversity has made an adult like me with the thoughts of a child mature.” Axel looked at her closely and smiled then he dragged her to a kiosk of ice cream and bought two different flavors for her and one for himself.
“Hmm why did you buy me ice-cream?
“Because I was craving for it and I didn’t want to take it alone.”
“That’s fair.” They continued talking until she got to Alba’s gigantic gate to his mansion. Axel said his goodbye and left.
Mahina entered and walked to the Mansion majestically. She had made up her mind on what to do. Although she had arrived a little late over her curfew, given to her by Alba. The moment she entered the living room she was welcomed by the butler. He took her bag from her and took it upstairs to her bedroom. Mahina smiled at the elderly looking man and moved further inside. She saw Alba sitting on the armchair by the fireplace. He seemed focused about something going through his mind. She smiled at his sight and hurriedly went to meet him. Mahina sat on his laps and gave him a warm hug. Then she gave him a soft peck on the cheeks and said;
“I missed you Al!” Alba raised a brow at her words and smirked. He immediately knew she was up to something because Mahina had never spoke to him in such a nice way before without a reason behind it.
She said it softly against his ears, without paying attention to the wide area. Unknowingly to her. There were people there in the sitting room talking to Alba before she showed up. The lights were dim, so she couldn’t see clearly that there were people there. She flinched at the sound of someone clearing his throat. She looked closely and noticed the presence of people there. She quickly apologized;
“I am sorry for the interruption! I had no idea we had guest coming over… forgive my poor eye sight, I didn’t see you all.” She was about to stand from Alba’s Laps when she felt a tight grip on her waist. She smiles bashfully and tried to stand again. But the tight grip held on to her waist firmly. She placed her slender hands on the masculine ones on her waist and tried to remove them, but she couldn’t. She chuckled shyly as she scanned around her nervously. Alba spoke:
“Mahina here are six men. They will follow you around and keep you safe from bullies and attacks in general. Don’t worry you won’t even feel their presence because they will be hiding in the shadows keeping you safe from attacks. I fear for your safety now that you are associated with me. As you know I am a business tycoon.” Alba explained to her carefully hoping she understands his point. But Mahina was quiet. It seemed to him like she was shocked or something.
“Lastly I need you to start work at my media company tomorrow. I don’t want you staying at home doing nothing. As you know it’s said an idle man is a devil’s workshop.” Mahina peered into his eyes searching for the motive behind him asking her to start work tomorrow. Alba just smiled at how she was looking at him. He could guess what was going on through her mind.
“What are you nincompoops still doing here? My loving kitty is back and I want to play with her. So! Excuse us!” he spoke firmly and the men stood up one after the other to leave. Feeling guilty for interrupting she apologized as they all made their way out;
I am...really sorry!” she bowed a bit as they made their way out. The men smiled at her cuteness as they exited the mansion.
“Where were we again!”
Mahina was still staring at Alba in disbelief after his statement. She couldn’t belief that he wanted her to start working at his company. It was as if there was a motive behind him letting her work at his company. Mahina couldn’t contain her curiosity so she asked:
“Why are you suddenly letting me work?” Alba looked into her eyes unsmiling and asked:
“Must there be a reason why I want my temporary fianceé to excel at her profession… well, you can look at it like this. If you are doing well, it reflects well on me and if you are not, people will think I am a trashy fiancé to you.”
Typical Alba, Mahina thought inwardly to herself. There is always a reason behind everything that he does. That much she could tell from the way he was behaving at that moment. Mahina thought that if that’s how he is going to be with her, always playing games with her mind then fine. She will also play along with him.
Mahina straddled him properly with a flirtatious smile on her face. She ran her fingers inside his loose shirt and whispered into his ears;
“Let me give you a massage you look stressed.” He shot her a questioning look because she wasn’t behaving like herself.
“Go ahead! But I hope you can make me feel good.” Mahina looked around for prying eyes. When she couldn’t find any she said to him:
“Not here... in the bedroom” He shot her a mischievous smile as he was surprised by her sudden courage; it was unlike her. ‘So what changed he wondered.’
He carried her with her legs still straddled around his waist to her bedroom. As her body was against his, he paid attention to all her expressions and gestures. He was searching for the slightest discomfort from her but couldn’t find any. Her determination was unshaken and flawless. He opened the door and got into the room. Then he laid her on the bed and hovered above her looking at her for a while still searching for any sign of hesitance. She smiled at him then wrapped her arms around his neck as if she was yearning for him. Then she whispered;
“What are you waiting for?” she shot him a sexy look. He lets out a light laughter in disbelieve of the woman lying down under him.
“Lie down already... or would you rather give me the massage” She asked him. He got off her body and laid down flat on the bed facing downwards, while glancing at her suspiciously. Mahina sat on his back and started by robbing some oils on her hands first before she began massaging him.
“Do you like it?”
