Chapter 70

Freshia Ava’s POV

My mother left me when I was only four years old. So there is not a single memory that sticks in my memory about it. I don't even know his face. Grandma also said that not a single photo of hers was left at home. Was it my mother's intention to erase her traces from my family? And all this time I was never curious about her and never tried to look for her because, for me, there was no point in knowing who my mother was now. Actually, I'm just afraid of finding out the truth related to my family and my past.

Therefore, I was very surprised when I heard Eros say that he wanted to tell me something about my biological mother, who had never even crossed my mind about getting to know her. As he also said, my mother abandoned me, making me even more unwilling to know anything about her.

I was silent for a moment, not responding to Eros' words that he had just conveyed to me. "My life has been fine even without his presence and I think the future will be the same. So I don't think you need to tell me anything about it, Eros." I said somewhat sarcastically to him.

"In that case, okay. It's okay if you don't want to know anything about it. However, if one day you want to know who he is, you can ask me about it." Eros replied to which I only answered with a nod of the head. Because I'm not interested in knowing anything about it.

“Freshia, Freshia. Wake up.” Someone's voice that felt so familiar woke me from my deep sleep. With a heavy heart, because I still felt very sleepy, I tried to open my eyes slowly. "Come on, get up, you have to go to school," he said again. And this time my eyes were wide open and began to take in everything around me, including a woman who looked not so young, smiling at me.

The woman looked beautiful, but there was something strange about her. I could only see his lips but when I looked at his eyes, I only saw a very dazzling light radiating from his face that made my eyes close.

I woke up from my sleep out of breath. Suddenly my hand touched my chest and grabbed my clothes there. Then, I immediately took a deep breath and tried to stabilize my breath again. After that, I grabbed a glass of water which was always available on the nightstand next to my bed.

I was shocked by the dream I just had. Who exactly was the woman who appeared earlier? Why did he suddenly appear in my dream? I thought. Because this is the first time I dreamed about him and I don't know him at all. However, for some reason, that voice felt familiar to me. While thinking about all that, suddenly I felt my head hit by an extraordinary headache.

At the same time, someone knocked on my bedroom door and I immediately shouted at him for help. A servant who previously knocked on the door immediately approached me and asked what happened to me. It seemed that Eros had asked me to call me to my room so we could enjoy breakfast together. Because now, since I returned to this house, Eros and I always enjoyed breakfast and dinner together in the dining room. Unless Eros has to work or has important business outside.

"Please call, Eros," I said briefly. Then he immediately came out of my room after previously asking me to wait a moment in panic.

Not long after, Eros appeared and immediately entered the room to approach me. His demeanor remained calm but the lines on his face showed deep concern. "Freshia, what's wrong with you?" He asked when he was sitting on the side of my bed while leaning towards me who was lying down again at that time.

"I had a headache earlier. But now it's better. Sorry for making you panic and rush here, Eros." I said to him. Then I intended to sit up and lean against the back of the bed. Eros, who saw it and could read my wishes, immediately helped me by holding both of my arms.

“Did something happen earlier that made you feel dizzy, Freshia?” Eros asked again.

I took a deep breath and exhaled slowly before finally telling me about the dream I had just experienced. Eros listened carefully and didn't say a word until I finished telling the story about my dream to the end.

"So, you felt a sudden dizziness when you were thinking about the woman in your dream?" Eros asked again when I had just finished my story. I nodded my head in response to his question.

“Freshia, should we check with a doctor first? Oh, or I’ll call George over here to check on you, yeah?” Eros offered.

I seemed to think for a moment, considering the offer from Eros just now. "Because I don't think you should feel dizzy just thinking about someone appearing in your dreams, Freshia," Eros said again, apparently trying to convince me more. Until finally I agreed to his offer and nodded my head.

"In that case, okay." My reply was short.

In the afternoon, after finishing his practice at the hospital, George came home. Then I, he, and Eros of course sat in the living room on the first floor. Without further ado, George immediately asked about my complaint and asked me to tell him what had happened to me before.

George seemed to think for a moment and didn't immediately respond to my story when I had finished everything I wanted to tell him. "Freshia, have you ever experienced an incident or incident during your childhood?" George asked then.

I frowned, not really understanding what he said. "What does that mean?" I replied, instead asking him again.

“Maybe, some kind of big incident that traumatized you or something,” George said again.

I was silent for a moment. Then I bit my lower lip before I finally responded to George's words. “Actually, I have no memories of my childhood. My memories only start from when I was twelve years old. My memories of the age before that only come from a few photos and stories from my grandmother, because since I was little, my grandmother took care of me. I only know from the story that my parents separated when I was four years old. Then my father died when I was five years old. As for my mother, my grandmother only said that when she separated from my father, he just left me and disappeared without a trace," I told George everything that Eros also heard.

George nodded his head after that. Then he looked at Eros before finally looking at me. “Freshia, I suspect that you experienced severe trauma in your childhood, to the point that you don't remember anything between the ages of six and eleven. Because in normal people, childhood memories usually start to form and can always be remembered when they reach the age of six," George explained.

“There are two possibilities for someone to forget their memories. One because of an incident that caused excessive trauma or because the person went through a psychological process, such as hypnosis. However, usually, this hypnosis process does not last long. So I conclude that what you experienced was due to an incident that caused trauma in your childhood. And maybe the woman who was present in your dream was a figure in your past. So that's what might cause you to experience dizziness when trying to remember it." Continue with George who explains at length.

I just listened to him silently. Trying to digest his words slowly, because previously I didn't think that in the end my past had an impact on my current life and I still had to find out about it so I wouldn't feel the pain again.
