Chapter 67
Eros Robinson's POV
At the meeting with Martin yesterday when I returned to Amara, I was actually prepared for something undesirable to happen like yesterday. Therefore, secretly without Martin knowing, I let him run away so that I could order my men to secretly follow him to his hiding place. I'm laughing. Does he think he can just run away from me? But I want to leave it be for now. I want to see how far he can go and I will wait for the right time to repay him for everything he has done to me, including yesterday when he battered me.
Finally today I heard a report again from my subordinates whom I assigned to continue monitoring Martin and Freshia's movements, that the car Martin and Freshia were traveling in entered the airport area. “Damn, Martin! Does he want to take Freshia abroad?” I said to myself.
Then after that I immediately told my subordinates to continue following them, I even told him to also buy tickets for the same plane that Martin and Freshia were on. However, after waiting for an hour later, I again received the astonishing news that Freshia was not on the flight. Then where is she? Did he deliberately not go with Martin? I thought. “Oh shit! How could I lose track of her again!” I exclaimed in my workroom.

Freshia Ava's POV
My initial goal now is to go to the bank to recover and recreate all the debit cards I previously had. Luckily Martin had previously given me money which I had refused many times, but it turned out he still put it in the pocket of the coat I was wearing. I immediately stopped a taxi that passed in front of me and left the airport.
After finishing my business at the bank and having my commercial card back which had been left behind in my old apartment, I rushed to buy a new cell phone. Then later, back to my old house where I used to live with my grandmother.
A house that contains so many memories from my childhood and beautiful memories when my grandmother was still alive. I don't know what I'm going to do after this, but at least I can decide again what I'm going to do with my own life. And tomorrow, I will start my life again by visiting my grandmother's grave.

Seeing the cemetery area in front of me with snow covering all the roads and places I passed reminded me of the moment I met Eros at this cemetery. Yes, our second meeting was after our first meeting at an exhibition held at Mrs. Winston's residence.
Taking cover under a black umbrella to protect myself from the rain, I knelt in front of my grandmother's grave. Wiping her nameplate with my hand which was protected by the knitted glove she gave me when I was eighteen years old, that was when my grandmother first learned about knitting and ended up liking it.
“Grandma, I'm sorry that Freshia can only come back to visit you now. Thank you also for being here yesterday through my dream. Making sure that whatever happens, I want to stay here so I won't be far from grandma." I said starting my conversation with my grandmother.
"A lot has happened in my life recently and now, I suddenly lost all my close friends. But that's life. Sooner or later, all of that is bound to happen, right, Grandma? However, they all still have families that must be protected and can be used as their final destination wherever their feet go. As for me, I don't have anyone now. There's no purpose to go home and come back, grandma." I didn't feel like my tears were slowly flowing down my cheeks which were starting to get cold from the wind at that time.
“Apparently, I just realized that life without a family is this sad. It turns out, standing alone is not easy and unpleasant, Grandma. It turns out that not having a place to lean on is very painful. Is it true that grandma said that I am a strong woman? But I know you will never judge wrongly. Maybe I can be strong in front of anyone who doesn't know me well, but to people who already know my whole life, I can't seem to say that I'm fine because, in fact, I'm not fine." I said back.
At the same time, the wind hit harder and harder so I decided to immediately say goodbye to my grandmother because the situation no longer seemed possible for me to continue being here. “Freshia said goodbye, grandma. And I promise that I will keep coming back here because this is the most comfortable place I have.” I said my last words at my grandmother's grave today.
After that, I immediately got up and started walking away after looking for the last time today at the nameplate at the top of my Grandma's grave. I tightened the coat that covered my body today to keep my body temperature warm, while one of my hands kept the umbrella that protected me steady.
Only after that did I focus again on the road in front of me, which I was going to take. Sorting out which part I could stand on because the snow started to fall harder that morning. Until I arrived at the end of the cemetery area, onto the asphalt road that connects the cemetery area to the main road. I took the time to turn my gaze straight ahead and that's where I saw the figure I hadn't seen for quite a long time. Eros Robinson, who was also looking at me from where he was standing.
At the end of my despair because I have no purpose and no place to return to, why should his figure appear in front of me now? After I poured out all my heart that I didn't want to be alone, that I needed a place to lean on, why do I have to see his figure now?
A figure who has similarities with me because he is also always alone, no longer lives with his family, and is also perhaps looking for a home and a goal to at least be able to lean on. Now seeing him silent there, made my feelings of sympathy and empathy appear to envelop my heart. It made me take my steps which felt very light towards him. Slowly but surely. Until I counted my thirtieth steps, I managed to reach it.
Standing right in front of him and holding out my umbrella again to protect him as I once did. But the difference is, now we are facing each other and I am fully aware when I do it. I looked into those two very familiar eyes. The blue eyes are like a pool of calming water. He also returned my gaze without hesitation. Then I drifted away in its cradle until I said, "Can I come back to you, Eros?”
