Chapter - 58: Sheila's Revenge
(Shade’s POV).
I clenched my palms into a fist as I sat beneath a tree filled with utter frustration. My emotions were all over the place after, but it wasn't like I had much of a choice either.
Nothing had been working well. A week Faedra had been on bed rest, a week that she had gotten all the support she needed from Zed and Castor. Although I had been sure to keep a clear distance from her all because of Sheila, I didn't want her to get the wrong information about how I felt about Faedra or what our relationship status truly was.
It had not been as easy as I believed it would be, for Sheila has suddenly become faster, running off from me at any chance she gets. It still seemed pretty odd to me how she had avoided me perfectly well for a whole week.
Perhaps Sheila began having mixed minds and a couple of other thoughts, coupling up affairs that went necessary into her mind. I didn't wish to opt for something as such for her.
Faedra and I were not an item.
Perhaps Sheila had mistaken those thoughts after seeing how Castor, and I had hovered around her on the dining table. I knew I would be damned if she mistook anything I had gone for something else.
A week later, I still believed she had left me on purpose, but it seemed the whole thing was merely a misunderstanding. I was determined to get it all sorted out, but only if I got a chance to explain myself, my feelings, and my thoughts.
I don't have an object thrown at my face drawing me out of all possible wonderlands, which I had gotten myself drowned in. I needed that help to tell the truth.
I swallowed hard, seeing that it was Castor who had a smirk on the side of his lips.
“Stop growling baselessly, and let the frown loosen it up a bit. What exactly are you thinking so much about?” Castor asked with a sarcastic tone.
“Please don't tell me you are lost in thought about your little, long-lost princess?.” castor asked the word would sound harsh to my ears. I sighed, swallowing hard in response.
“At least you aren't going through all of this',' I teased with a growl, but Castor only laughed it off, hitting more clothes in my face.
"Oh, please wear those. Besides you're not helping matters, you locked yourself in this position. Just quit embarrassing yourself. It's obvious she doesn't want to see you, judging from how she avoids you all around like a plague.
“I'm sorry, I should not have said that ” He apologized right on cue while I curled my head slightly towards the left, glaring at him.
“I'm only kidding, I meant every bit I said. If I'm in love, I'll be wise enough to ascertain that whoever I am in love feels the same way about me and not just force some portions on her. She obviously didn't love you from the beginning, and neither does she love you now either, so blow off some steam. Okay?" Castor asked, and I punched him slightly in the cheer before pushing past him, bumping my shoulders into him on purpose.
I have not been interested in any of his theories or problems so far.
I pushed forward and headed towards the main grounds. I stopped to a halt, my eyes lingering on for a moment. It was Faedra she seemed to be doing something, I pulled closer to her; she had clothes arranged against a line. It didn't seem like much to do, but she had issues bending; it didn't look comfortable for her, and I wondered why she still did those by herself.
I caught a glance and she was coming right ahead of me. She stopped to a halt, shortened her steps, and then, after reaching for her arm and pulling her behind me, we walked back into the house ending up in an empty room while I bolted the door locked, finally pleased that I had her cornered eventually after such a great deal of stress she had made me go through.
Just like it had happened previously, tears began streaking off her cheeks as she hid her face from me. I felt an unsettling emotion within me as goosebumps rose on my skin. I wasn't getting it. What she was so passionate about, she was always crying around me.
“Sheila, calm down; it's me. It's just us; I would never hurt you. Calm down, chill, and relax a bit. I promise I'll have everything sorted out soon.” I persuaded her even when I wanted to be sure what it was; that was tingling her mind.
I pulled her into a big hug, and she tensed up slowly and relaxed into my touch. For a couple of minutes, she cried and relaxed.
“Talk to me, Sheilas, what happened? Why did you vanish, leaving me to be, and I've been trying to each of you to no avail? What's wrong?” I asked once more.
“I'm ashamed! I'm embarrassed to stand before you looking like this,” she exclaimed. I sensed pain in her words as I pulled her close.
“It's okay, you would never feel ashamed of me; I'm the same me... "I'm still the shade you have known.” I persuaded her yet again.
“It's Alpha Liddell; I was abducted by him; being kidnapped was revenge for you; he wanted to humiliate you after finding out about our relationship when he asked me Shade. He beat me up severely, I was badly bruised, and he kept me hostage, but I was lucky enough; I was saved by some wolves from the Red Sea packs; they helped me and let me free; I could not bring myself to you after all the road happened.”
She explained.
While Sheila spoke, I felt anger rising within me and utter disgust for Faedra. Her father was no good, and an apple hardly fell far from the tree.
I learned about Sheila by placing my lips against her and kissing her passionately, and she reciprocated the gesture, filling me to the brim with more happiness.
“I love you. And I promise I will make them pay for it, Sheila. I'll get your revenge for you.”
