Chapter 135: Tuxedo Shopping
Ricardo’s P.O.V.
I entered the store and introduced myself the male salesclerk. He let me know that my party has already arrived minus Ace McCormick who wi be showing up for his appointment tomorrow at noon. I make my way over to the other guys.
“Hii guys. Axel, I need to talk to you after we are done here.” I say to him as we wait patiently for our turn.
“Sure.” He says running a hand through his hair.
“Nothing to be nervous about, man. It’s about being part of this family, that's all.” I reassure him.
It took us about two to three hours to choose our tuxedoes, try them on, and have measurements done. When we were all done, we left the store. I then pulled Axel aside.
“Come to my car for a minute, I have something that I want to give you.” I say to him, looking back to make sure that he is following me, I get to my car. “Here, I already gave Carmella and Ace’s there's.” I slipped him a back unlimited credit card from my wallet.
“What is this for?” He asked me, sounding a bit confused.
“You are going to be a part of this family too, not only as a brother-in-law, but a cousin-in-law as well.
“I heard some funny stories about you, your brothers and Jaycee. So, always looking or her approval, huh?”
“Yeah, and I guess sin a way we still do. She looks for our approval as well. I just wish that when it came to Bradley, she would have listened.” I tell him remembering our argument before she decided to move to New York City.
“Did you ever find his cousin that hit Jaycee with her car?” He asked me.
“I’m still working on that.” I informed him.
“Need any help?”
“I could use the help.”
“Good lett me know when a good time for you is?”
“Ok, I better get going.”
“Where are you off to now?”
“The bar. You want to join?”
“Sure, I'll follow you out.” II nod to him as I got into my car. Sitting in my car, I pulled out my phone.
\[Hey, where are you?\] I asked Carmela as she picked up her phone and answered it.
\[Having lunch with the girls. I should be leaving here shortly I just have to drop Jaycee off on my way.\]
\[Ok, then I'll meet you at the bar. When is Patricia’s fitting?\]
\[At three today.\]
\[Ok, I'm leaving now and I'll have your brother with me.\] I tell her before hanging up. We make it to the bar we take seats at the bar counter. We order our drinks and as we sip them, we start a conversation with Derrick.
Ace’s And Jaycee’s Apartment
Jaycee makes it to the apartment after having lunch with the girls. She realized that Brenda Sue and Shirley really are not that bad, just naive.
“I’M HOME!!!” She calls out to Ace.
“Hi baby. How was your day with the girls?”
“Good actually. The dresses will be ready to be picked up next week and then we went out to lunch.”
“That’s good.”
“How did it go here?”
“Good, everything just got delivered. I made the bed and put the lamps on the tables. We are going to need nightstands for the bedroom, for now I put those lamps in our closet. Did you want to go grocery shopping now and then we can go to the department store tomorrow after my appointment.”
“Yes, but we don’t have anything to cook with, so we can get something that is already cooked or order out again?”
“Some stores sell starter sets; we can always do that.”
“Sounds good.”
“This morning your brother gave me a black credit card also, so anything else that we are going to buy for the place let me buy it, ok?”
“Ok. Do we have enough ch on us for the groceries?”
“I have five hundred left of my paycheck. How about you?”
“I have three hundred.”
“That should be good, we will pay for the starter cookware and utensils with the credit card and then we will combine our cash together for the groceries.”
“Ok, we will also need a dish set too. Do you think they sell any?”
“We can check.” Ace says as he grabs his keys and wallet, and Jaycee grabs her purse. They walked out the door together, heading for the car.
Walking into the grocery store, they go over everything that is needed, and then what meat to buy. They head over to the snacks and soda isle before going to the housewares isle. Getting everything they need, they go to the registers to check out. Ace puts up the cookware, utensils and cooking utensils along with the dish set onto the converter belt. He pays for the items with a credit card. After placing the items back in the cart, they then together started loading the food unto the converter belt.
