Chapter 120: Starting On The Surprise Part 3
Jaycee’s P.O.V.
The Next Morning
I wake up with the sunlight streaming in through the blinds in my hospital room. Just one more day to go, I should be going home tomorrow if that nightmare didn’t set me back. I move my head to the right and noticed that Ricco is sitting in the chair next to my bed resting his head on his hand which he has his elbow on the arm of the chair and hand holding his head in place. Looking at the time and seeing that it is almost breakfast time, I sit up, positioning the pillows exactly right in the back of me, and pulling over the tray over the bed in front of me. (Ace and I got a lot of stuff ready for when I am able to get my business up and running. Now he just has to look up those websites that I gave him the list of.) I think to myself as I wait for my breakfast to arrive. As soon as the door to my hospital room opens Ricco starts to stir.
“Good morning sleepy head!” I call out to him in my perfect sing along voice. Rubbing his eyes he looks over at me and then the staff coming in with the tray of food.
“Good morning. Did you sleep better?” He asked me as he rubs the sleep from his eyes.
“Yes, thank you.” I say as the tray is set before me. “Thank you.” I say to the woman as she starts to walk out the door.
“Here let me try it before you touch it.” He says as he picks up my fork and stabbing some of the scramble eggs with it. Taking a bite, chewing and the swallowing it, he then looks over at me. “It’s fine, you may eat now. I’m going to the cafeteria to grab me something.” He says getting up from the chair that he spends all the time in.
“What was that about?” I asked him.
“You can never be too careful Jay, you know Janet is still out there trying to get at you and Axel.” He explains as he opens the door. As the door closes behind him I roll my eyes with a smile on my face and begin to eat my breakfast before it gets cold. About thirty minutes later Ricco comes back with a news paper in one hand and a teddy in the other. Holding out the teddy towards me he says.
“Here for you.”
“Thanks, it’s SOOO cute!” I purr in awe at the cuteness of the little teddy bear. He sits back down where he’s been sitting for the past two days and opens up the news paper and begins to read. A nurse comes into the room with my medication and a sleeping pill. Ricco watches on and when she gives me the sleeping pill to take.
“WAIT!!! SHE WASN’T GIVEN A SLEEPING PILL YESTERDAY WHY TODAY???” Ricco yells out to the nurse. Come to think of it she isn’t even my regular nurse or a Nurse that I have seen before. “She isn’t taking that until we talk to her doctor or Doctor Gilmore!!!” He continues to yell at her. She runs out of the room and Ricco chasses after her. “STOP HER!!! STOP HER NOW!!! SHE WAS JUST IN HERE TRYING TO HURT JAYCEE!!!” He screams out into the hallway as he continues to chase her. He comes back in here out of breath. “They…caught…her!!!” He says throwing himself into the chair. He pulls out his phone. \[Ric, you and Ace need to get down here now!!!\] He says and then hangs up.
“Ricco, what’s going on. That sleeping pill would’ve helped me sleep after having the nightmare right?” I say thinking of why I would suddenly need one.
“Yeah, if it was prescribed to you, but the doctor nor Doctor Gilmore mentioned you having to need one.” He explains to me his reason for doubting the nurse that came in here just a few minutes ago. The doctor comes into the room.
“We are so sorry Miss Garcia, we will have better security on the floor. I don’t’ know how that imposter got pass any of us on the floor. As for the sleeping pill, one was never prescribed to you.” He said.
“Thanks Doc, I contacted her brother Ricardo, him and her fiancé will be down here momentarily.” Ace says to him.
“Ok, have him page me if he has any questions.”
“Don’t worry I will, and he’ll probably will have his own guards here as well.” The doctor nods at Ace and walks out of the room. “Good thing that I was here.” He sys to me and I just nod in agreement as I wish I was never in this mess to begin with. A few minutes later Ricardo and Ace come running into my room.
“JAYCEE!!! YOU’RE ALRIGHT?” they both ask in unison.
“Ok, Ricco you go home, eat, change, shower, rest. Axel will be here with Ace tonight, I’ll set up something with Garrett and Stephan with guards outside her room. He explains to us while Ricco leaves and Ace comes over to me.
“Let’s get your mind off this. I searched the internet for the sites you wanted me to look into, so, if you want to you can order what you need from those places while we take care of what is needed here.” He suggested to me.
“Sounds good.” I say as I take the laptop from him and start to get to work. (This should take my mind off of things.) I think to myself as I look at the first one he has up.
“Ricco will come back in the morning to relieve Axel, I have Viper and Gideon coming to man the door, Garrett will be working on scheduling guards at the house once she leaves here tomorrow. Any word on what was done to with the woman?” I listened in to every word that was being discussed in my presence. I go back to what I was doing while they take care of what needs to be done. (Hopefully, this mess will go away soon.) I think to myself as I order what I needed and write down stationary that I will also be needing. And I can’t forget a place that does wedding invitations. I stop as I noticed that they are looking over at me.
I stop what I am doing to let them know what I have done so far and what I still need to do at this point. We all need to get our minds off of what just occurred this morning.
