Chapter 119: Starting On The Surprise Part 2
Ricco’s P.O.V.
I had Ricardo replace me at the docks and Garrett to send work over to me. With Jaycee sleeping most of the day it gets quite boring just sitting here looking at her. I wouldn’t mind any other time, but she is the fiancé of one of my best friends, well, Garrett’s. Growing up we, all separated into groups, it Was Ricardo, Axel and I, Garrett, Ace and Carlos and Jaycee, Jason and Patrick. She never had any female friends, she told us they were all jealous of her and bullied her. Carmella, we have known about but never met until Ricardo was in college, she had her own click of friends such as Brenda Sue, Shirley and Patricia. I am sitting here right now going over paper work that Garrett nor Stephan wanted to do, guess they thought it would be easier for me since I am not in the office. Jaycee has been stirring on and off since she fell asleep, I’m assuming what ever happened between Jax and herself while she was pregnant with their child is the effect of what is going on with her right now.
“AHHH!!! NO!!! HOW COULD YOU?” She screams out, I look over t her and she seems to be having a nightmare.
“Jaycee? Hey Jay? It’s Ricco, are you ok?” I gently touch her shoulder. She starts to blink awake.
“Ric…co? She says half asleep.
“You had a nightmare, I’m going to step out for a minute ok.” I tell her putting aside my work and grabbing my phone. Standing up I take a hold of her hand, squeezing it then letting it go before I walk out into the hallway. I stand just outside of her door, scrolling for the number that I desperately need, I press the call button on the screen and wait or it to get pick up.
\[Hello Ricco! Is something wrong?\] Ace says as soon as he picks up after the first ring.
\[I had to wake her up, she was having a nightmare.\] I tell him.
\[Ok, let me just pass my work over to Richard and Axel and I will be right there.\] He says out of breath, sounds like he’s rushing around in his office.
\[Take your time, I have her until you get here.\]
\[Thanks, I be there soon.\] He says hanging up. I pocket me phone and head back inside her room.
“Where did you go?” Jaycee questioned me as I entered the room.
“I called Ace, he should be here soon.”
“You didn’t have to.”
“I thought he should know what happened. Do you need anything?”
“No, I should be fine, I don’t eve remember what it was about. Did I talk at all?”
“You screamed out as if you were yelling at someone.” I tell her. She looks down like she’s thinking of what he dream could be about. She sits up and reaches over to her tray and grabs at her water cup, taking a sip. After she puts it down she looks over at me.
“I think I was reliving the car accident all over again.” She says looking down at her folded hands that are in her lap.
“Good thing I called Ace then.” I say to her siting back down in my seat next to the bed. A while later the door opens and Ace walks in.
“I baby, I heard you had a nightmare.” He says walking up to the bed and giving her a kiss on the lips before sitting on the edge of the bed next to her.
“Yeah, I don’t remember it though.” She tells him.
“Ace man, can I talk to for a moment?” I asked.
“Sure. I will be right back.” He tells her as he follows me out the door.
“I really think you should be the one to stay with her, I mean why me?”
“I trust you and with Jaycee getting out of the hospital in two days I figured I need this time to take care of things back art the office since we both will be out or the week.” He explains to me.
“And the surprise?” I asked him.
“Yeah, that too. So, if you don’t mind.” He says scratching the back of his head. I know what he’s thinking he thinks that I am thinking that he is neglecting her, he couldn’t be further from the truth.
“Of course. I worked everything out with the docks and the office so while she sleeps, which she does a lot, I work.” I tell him as we go back into the room.
“Baby, I have the websites needed for what you asked for. What do you want to look at first?” He sked her puling out his laptop.
“Why not the inventory that I am going to need, I can’t have business cards and nothing for the business, won’t do me any good.” She tells him.
“Hey, while you’re here I’m going to go home and get something to eat, and come back later.” I say to him. He looks up and nods to me. I stand and walk over to the door. Taking one look back at the both of them before leaving the room.
Jaycee’s Hospital Room
“So, which wholesale warehouse to do want to go with, I know you didn’t want to go with anything too expensive r too cheap.” Ace explains to her as he scrolls through the different wholesale sites.
“’How about thi one, it’s not so pricey but not cheap either, it’s exactly right in the middle of the budget that I want to set for myself.” She says pointing to the middle of the screen.
“Ok, look through there and whatever you’re going to need order it and take a screenshot of the bill, this way I can print it out later for Ricardo.” Ace explains as he watches on as she gets to work with making her inventory. As she gets to work on that Ace takes his phone back out and starts to text Ricardo.
“Hey Ace?”
“What? Is there a problem?”
“No, just need the site for the business cards. I also made a list on your sticky note program of things I need you to look up for me.” She tells him. He walks over and pulls up the site for the business cards.
