Chapter 63 - Curse
Chapter 63 - Curse
Kallias was furious. More than that, he was possessed. That cursed wolf thought he was something. Who did he think he was?
His divine fire took over that profane place, which used his mother's sacred tree for its selfish and futile motives.
He smiled as he felt Akiner's fear. His shadow was intense, divine, and rebellious. A kind of hurricane took over the place, cutting through everyone present and spreading the fire even further.
Kallias didn't care if he hurt anyone there. No one could hurt Jae Hyun, no one was allowed to hurt his omega.
Everyone present screamed in fear, being slightly burned by the fire and hurt by the wind. The powerful energy prevented them from moving.
The ancestral wolves tried to help their leader but couldn't move. That force was too powerful for any of them to fight against.
The demigod went toward Akiner, who for the first time had fear in his eyes. He trembled as Kallias got closer and closer.
Several wolves positioned themselves in front of their leader to protect him. However, they were no obstacle to the son of the Goddess. With a single movement, the ancestral wolves were thrown aside and Akiner's neck was squeezed by the shadow.
The wolf gasped, trying to break free from the grip, but fortunately, he was unsuccessful. His eyes widened in fear as he heard Kallias' loud, deep, intimidating voice.
“You think too highly of yourself, wolf. Do you think that because we have an agreement, you can do whatever you want?” The alpha's cry echoed everywhere. ‘Who do you think you are? Who do you think you are to mess with my family?’ He said, causing the spheres to shatter.
“How dare you kill my husband?” Kallias said in a low, threatening voice, his eyes staring at Akiner with deep hatred and contempt.
“H-He's not dead.” Akiner stammered, fearful. ‘I sent him to a place. What you saw was just an illusion.’ The panic in his eyes pleased Kallias, who enjoyed seeing the terror in his eyes.
Kallias felt relief in his chest. Jae Hyun was alive, but obviously, that didn't lessen his anger.
“Where?“ Kallias asked without loosening his grip. He was in a hurry and had no time for games.
”I don't know. To his memories. I used your own power,” Akiner confessed, his eyes wide and trembling more and more.
Kallias' shadow released Akiner, but a thick black smoke took over the old wolf's body, and he screamed in pain and terror until his own eyes turned black. The son of the Goddess would show no mercy.
When the smoke was completely absorbed by his body, Kallias disappeared along with the fire and wind.
“No one challenges me without paying the price,” he whispered before leaving, leaving Akiner gasping for breath, fear still stamped on his face.

Kallias crossed that corrupted tree and remembered that the girl was inside it. Perhaps now they had the same goal.
He walked through his home again, and Jae Hyun's figure was no longer there. The illusion had been dispelled.
For the first time, Kallias was regretting his decisions. If he affected Jae Hyun in a permanent way, he would never forgive himself.
And besides, feeling that heavy energy from the sacred tree bothered him. Of course, it was already taken over by such a force because of the chosen ones, but that dirty wolf was using it for his own purposes. However, when the girl did her job, that bastard's plans would be ruined.
Kallias sighed deeply. Perhaps fate really did work in mysterious ways, and not everything would turn out as he wished.
But even in all his anguish and tension, he smiled. With his curse, Akiner would pay, and with that, he could worry about what mattered.
With a quick walk, Kallias reached his desired location. A deep cave filled with blue, white, and purple crystals.
There was no sound, no animals. The dense energy could not be endured by anyone.
The alpha removed his shoes and entered. His feet touched the cold, damp floor, and he continued on. The light from the crystals reflected on his face, showing his serious expression.
Kallias finally reached a clear lake in the cave and in the middle of it, a beautiful tree with blue leaves, which emanated the same energy as those crystals.
The man removed his upper clothes and entered. The water was warm and moved when a body came into contact with it.
The lake was deep, and Kallias submerged himself in it. He did not need to breathe down there like ordinary humans.
Closing his eyes, Kallias allowed himself to relax, and his memories came to mind. The tree of memories carried all the events of the world.
Kallias searched for his memories and went through all the moments, including his birth and when he was in his mother's womb.
He searched for Jae Hyun among his memories and was surprised when he found him.
His omega was experiencing his moment with that woman when she was still a teenager. Ada, Sera's mother.
A mischievous girl who couldn't control her inner wolf. Kallias became fond of her, like a younger sister.
He just wanted to play with one of his Mother's new children, but somehow that child captivated him.
And as a gift, he gave her a red scarf. She thanked him with a smile, which he hoped to see one day on his own child. The child had been hidden from him.
Kallias did not see her again; that child had much suffering in her destiny. And years later, he shaped the moments he had spent with her to create doubts in her daughter's mind.
He would do anything to achieve his goals, even lie about precious memories. But something inside him told him that one day he had grown fond of these new children.
