Chapter 75. Up and Down
When Riley came down from her room after a very long shower, she found Logan talking to someone on the phone. Logan didn't even glance at her when she went into the living room and took her place on the single sofa. But Riley didn't even care about Logan's response to her appearance that morning. She just took a long dress carelessly from the closet. She thought it was the dress that appealed to her the most. The color was mint with elbow-length sleeves and, of course, warm because it was made of wool. She also wore a scarf and shoes from Wren. She wouldn't trade the shoes for any fancy shoes from her closet because she really appreciated the things Wren had given her.
“You're wasting my time by lingering in the bathroom.”
Logan turned to look at her after tucking his phone into his jeans pocket. Riley had just realized that this morning Logan was not wearing a suit as usual. He wore dark blue denim and a black long-sleeved sweater. His appearance was very masculine. His dark hair was combed neatly with hair gel that made it seem like it was always wet. In fact, Logan was extraordinarily handsome in whatever style of clothing he wore because he was blessed with a handsome face and a body full of muscles. But, his attitude wasn't as handsome as his face. Riley really regretted it.
"I told you I need to shower and remove all the dirt stuck to my body," Riley said sharply. She was sure Logan realized her words had a double meaning.
"We're leaving now. No time for breakfast. We'll have breakfast on the jet."
"I have no appetite after what you did to me."
Logan stared at Riley sharply, trying to contain his anger at the stubborn woman. Riley had completely changed, from a naive innocent girl to a cynical, rude woman. He didn't know what made Riley determined to change herself. Maybe it was anger or fear that made her defensive side emerge.
Meanwhile, Riley realized that Logan was staring at her. She turned her gaze toward the window, which offered a monotonous view of the green garden. There was Weston out there, sweeping up dry leaves. His movements were slow and seemed lazy, but Weston wasn't really a lazy man. He was simply too old to sweep such a large yard alone.
"Does it still hurt?”
"Hurt?"
“After I fucked you rudely last night.”
Riley touched her wrist. It didn't escape Logan's eyes because he saw a bluish bruise around her wrist.
"I'm not asking about physical injuries."
"I have a bleeding wound," Riley said flatly.
"Does your stomach hurt?"
"Not anymore. Don't worry, Logan. I think I was strong enough to withstand your brutality last night. Well, let's hope this baby will form soon, so you don't have to touch me again. You hurt me."
"I can give you pleasure as long as you don't try to fight me."
Riley looked at Logan warily as he suddenly moved closer to her. Logan's gaze was locked only on hers. It made Riley feel uneasy and worried about what Logan would do. When Logan lowered his face in front of her, Riley reflexively backed away. But Logan held her neck and he suddenly kissed her lips. Logan moved his lips gently to Riley's lips until she forgot all her hatred and rudeness. Her lips moved in rhythm with Logan's. Logan stroked her nape repeatedly, up and down, to make her more comfortable. Riley drowned in the kiss and began to enjoy it.
Suddenly someone appeared between them, Riley reflexively pushed Logan's chest away.
"The car is ready. We can leave now."
Jacob appeared with a stiff face. His eyes glanced briefly at Riley, who was panting with puffy, sexy red lips. Jacob rubbed the back of his neck awkwardly because he came at the wrong time.
“Wait us outside. We'll be out in a few minutes," Logan said coldly over his shoulder.
Jacob left the place, ignoring Riley, who blushed after realizing the meaning of his gaze.
"You're beautiful in mint color."
Riley's neck stiffened. She stared at Logan for a few seconds, but her lips remained tightly pursed. She was not impressed at all by Logan's compliment. On the contrary, she was disgusted by it.
"When are we leaving? I don't want to keep Jacob waiting for us too long."
“You've made us ten minutes late because of your very long shower. Being late any longer is not a problem. Besides, you seem to like my kisses."
Logan confined Riley to one of the sofas she was sitting on. His two hands pressed the right and left sides of the sofa. Riley couldn't move anywhere and just stared at him.
"You're crazy. Was everything you did last night not enough?"
"I can’t get enough of you, honey. At least, not this time.”
Logan’s hand reached up to caress Riley’s flushed cheek.
It was beautiful, he thought in awe.
He never thought he’d find a woman who could capture his heart the way Brittany did. He was drawn to Riley because of her rebellious side and her bravery. Every time she turned him down, he felt challenged to tame her.
"Don't get in my way."
Riley pushed Logan's chest hard and he jerked back away from her. She was really grateful that Logan didn't stay there much longer to keep his plans. She knew what was inside Logan's perverted brain.
"We still have plenty of time."
Logan lowered his head to her ear and whispered, "I'm sure you've never felt the sensation of making love on a jet. That would be great, Riley.”
The hairs on Riley's neck bristled. Even after Logan left her to walk to the car that was waiting for them, she was still shuddering and shaking. She felt like those words weren't just a promise or a perverted temptation. Deep down, she believed that Logan would make it happen. And surprisingly, she anticipated it to happen to her. How would it feel if Logan fucked her on a plane with the clouds hanging beautifully in the gray autumn sky? Wouldn't that be great? She would get a thrill she would never forget for the rest of her life.
Stop there, Riley! Clean your dirty brain.
She cursed herself in a huff and walked quickly to catch up with Logan. She wouldn't let Logan know that she didn't really hate his touches or kisses.
