Chapter 63 MIDDAY DECISION

Chapter 63 MIDDAY DECISION
CHAPTER SIXTY-THREE
SAMANTHA’S POV

“Let me go! Let me go!”
Her voice went through the house and my heart dropped straight.

When I reached the parlor, the sight in front of me made my chest tighten.

Two of master's men were dragging Kate toward the door.

She struggled against them, kicking and twisting, but they were too strong. One of them held her arms behind her back while the other gripped her shoulder so tightly I knew it must hurt.

“Kate! Kate! Kate!” I screamed as I ran toward them.
Her head snapped up immediately.

“Sam?” she gasped. “Samantha is that you?”
I rushed forward and grabbed one of the men’s arms.

“Let her go. Please… please let her go!”
Before I could say anything else, the second man shoved me violently.
I fell hard against the floor, pain shooting through my palms as they scraped the marble. For a second the world spun, but I forced myself up immediately.

“Please!” I cried again, my voice shaking as I moved toward them. “Don’t take her!”

Kate’s face had gone pale. Fear filled her eyes in a way I had never seen before.

“Sam… please,” she whispered desperately. “Don’t let them take me. They will kill me. Kane will kill me.”

Tears rushed down my face.

I didn’t even know what to do. My hands felt useless, my body weak against the men surrounding her.
Then a calm voice came from above.

“What is happening here?”
Every single person in the room froze.

I didn’t even need to look up to know who it was.

Kane.

The air suddenly felt heavy. My body moved on instinct as I lowered myself immediately, bowing my head in respect.
His footsteps echoed slowly as he descended the stairs.

Each step sounded like a countdown.
When he reached the bottom, his cold eyes landed on me.

“How dare you intercept my plans,” he said quietly.
My throat tightened.

“I’m sorry sir,” I said quickly, my voice trembling. “But I’m willing to pay for Kate’s life with mine. Please let her go.”

For a moment Kane simply stared at me.
Then he laughed softly.

“And who told you your life is worth anything to me?” he asked.
His words hit like a slap.

“You are valueless.”
My chest tightened, but I refused to back down.

“Please Master,” I said again. “You can’t punish her when we escaped together. It has been a long time. She had nothing to do with anything now.”
Kane’s eyes narrowed slightly.

“You think this is about you?” he asked coldly.
I felt the temperature of the room drop.

“I want revenge on Savy,” he continued slowly. “He has been acting very powerful lately. Walking around like he owns the world.”
His lips curled into a cruel smile.

“So I decided to send his sister’s remnant back to him.”
Kate stiffened beside the guards.

“After feeding her to my dogs.”
Her entire body flinched.

“Master please!” she cried immediately. “Believe me, I have nothing to do with anything anymore!”
But Kane didn’t even look at her.

Instead he tilted his head slightly, studying her like she was something beneath him.

“Do you remember what I did to your parents?” he asked suddenly.
My stomach dropped.
Kate’s breathing stopped.Kane’s voice was calm

“I sliced your mother into pieces,” he continued, almost casually. “And I made your father watch.”
Kate’s lips trembled. Then Kane chuckled softly.

“And when he begged me to stop, I forced him to eat from her bones.”

“No… no… no…” Kate whispered, shaking her head violently.

“Don’t say that… please don’t say that.”
Her voice cracked as she covered her ears like she wanted to block the words out.
I felt sick.
I wanted him to stop talking.
But Kane looked entertained.

“T
His smile widened.
“You will not escape it.”
Something inside Kate snapped.

“You killed my parents!” she screamed suddenly.
The rage in her voice shocked everyone in the room.

“You won’t escape it! You won’t!”

Her entire body trembled with anger.
Kane slowly clapped his hands together.

“That is exactly the reaction I was waiting for,” he said.
My heart sank.
He had been provoking her on purpose.

“I cannot wait,” he added softly, “to feed Savy’s bones to my dogs as well.”
Kate laughed bitterly through her tears.

“You really think you will win?” she said hoarsely. “You go around destroying lives like it is nothing.”
Her eyes burned with hatred.

“I cannot wait for your precious little girl to grow up and realize what kind of monster her father is.”
The moment the words left her mouth, the room went completely still.
Even the guards froze.
Kane’s expression changed. His breathing became heavier.I knew instantly that Kate had crossed a line.

“You think you can go around creating havoc,” she continued angrily, “and your daughter will never know the truth about who you are?”
The next second everything happened too fast.
A gunshot exploded in the room.
My ears rang. For a second I didn’t understand what had happened.
Then Kate collapsed.I screamed.
“Kate!”
I ran toward her immediately as the guards released her.She was on the ground, clutching her leg as blood spread across the floor.

“Oh my God… oh my God…” I whispered, dropping beside her.
Her hands trembled as she pressed against the wound.

“Ahh… ahh!” she cried in pain.
I grabbed her shoulders, trying to steady her.

“Calm down. Breathe,” I said quickly, even though my own hands were shaking. “We will get it fixed. Just breathe.”
Kane lowered the gun slowly.
His eyes were dark with anger.

“How dare you mention Micky’s name,” he said coldly.

Kate groaned, barely able to lift her head.
“I will kill you today,” Kane continued.
Panic shot through me.
I rushed toward him without thinking.
“Sir please!” I begged desperately. “Sir please!”
.
“Get away from there, Samantha,” he ordered sharply.
But I didn’t move.

Instead I went back to Kate and tore a piece of my clothing, wrapping it tightly around her bleeding leg.
Blood soaked through the fabric immediately.
My hands were shaking so badly I could barely tie it.

“No sir,” I said stubbornly.
The entire room stared at me.

“If she dies, I die.”
Kane’s eyes darkened.

“I said move,” he repeated slowly, “or I take both of you to hell.”
I looked up at him.

My heart was beating so fast it felt like it would burst, but somehow the words still left my mouth.

“Please do that.”
The guards looked shocked.

Nobody in this house spoke to Kane like that.
Blood spread across the floor beneath Kate as she groaned weakly.
Everyone stood frozen, waiting.Waiting for Kane’s decision..One way or another…
I was probably going to die here tonight.
