Chapter 46 - Meeting Satan

Hailey's P.O.V.

We all run out of the house and look at the sky when we hear the loud screeching. Ozzy had shocked us when he suddenly stood up and took off down the stairs without a word. I understand when I see him next to Brandie with his arm around her. They're mates. However, there's no time to celebrate because something is happening.

The sky is swirling, and it's almost pitch black. The loud screeching continues, and it sends a chill down my spine. What is going on?

"Does anyone know what this is?" Jessi asks.

"If I had to guess, I'd say one of the demons is pissed," Kaida replies.

"The question is which one," Eldia says. We get our answer.

"I am the great Malphas. You have tried to make a fool of me, but I'm done playing with you. I have killed so many, yet you refuse to show me the respect and fear I deserve." Davina suddenly walks forward, and she makes herself tiny before anyone can stop her.

"Davinaaaa!" Jock yells after her. Right before our eyes, the little light becomes a giant-sized Davina. She reaches up and grabs something, throwing it to the ground. The sky goes back to normal. I immediately recognize the figure; it's the person dressed in black from the cameras in the dungeons. It's Malphas.

"I'm sorry, Jock, but I was tired of listening to this idiot talk." Davina's voice when she's twenty feet tall kind of scares me. It makes everything around us shake, especially when she starts twirling. She returns to her normal size and hugs Jock while Jessi, Kaida, Eldia and Kerri surround Malphas. We have some pretty powerful women around here.

"So, this is the bastard who touched my daughter?" Jessi asks through clenched teeth. She pulls out her sword and holds it to his throat.

"You don't scare me, warrior. Your sword is nothing compared to my power." He tries to stand, but Kaida suddenly turns into her giant green dragon, Benni, and sits on him. We know it won't kill him, but it keeps him down.

"Get this giant green ass off me." He yells. Benni swishes its tail over his face.

"Does it look like a donkey to you? Maybe we should have it spit some fire on you just to make sure you remember what it's like in hell." Kerri kicks him in the head.

"What kind of demon are you, anyway? You look like a little bitch to me, lying on the ground under a giant dragon. You sneak around like a snake slitting innocent people's throats because you're too much of a coward to do anything else." Jessi is pissed. She keeps glancing to where Rmina is holding Camilla, and I can almost feel the rage in her at how close this demon was to killing her daughter.

"You're lucky I didn't kill the little dog. I should have, just to make you shut up." Jessi looks like she's going to lose it, but then she suddenly calms down.

"Hailey, I think you and your sisters need to do some of your hocus pocus and get this asshole out of here. How do we summon Satan?" Jessi looks at me, Kerri, and Stephanie. Oh, yeah, I almost forgot Stephanie and I are among the powerful women here. We're just not as in your face about it as the rest.

"Benni, you stay there so he can't get up. Let's hold hands." Kerri says. The three of us join hands, and I immediately know what to do. We close our eyes and let our minds reach out to Satan. This isn't something I ever thought I would be doing, but we need his help. I don't remember anything bad about him, but I guess the thought of him always terrified me.

After a few minutes, I feel a connection. It's like we're in a group mindlink with Satan. He doesn't say anything, but something tells me he knows exactly what we need. Before we know it, the ground starts shaking, and I open my eyes. Behind us, the earth suddenly splits open, and a man emerges. He's not how I pictured Satan at all. He's huge and muscular with a tan and thick black hair. I would think he was human if it weren't for the red eyes rimmed in black.

"You summoned me, daughters of Selene. I thought it better to come in this form so I don't scare anyone. What can I do for you?" He takes each of our hands and kisses them. I can feel Dante's displeasure, but he doesn't say anything.

"We have one of your demons, and we'd like to return him to you," Kerri replies. Satan looks under Benni and smirks.

"I wondered where he'd run off to. He's supposed to be my second in command, but it looks like all he is now is dragon toilet paper." Who knew Satan had a sense of humor?

"Do you think you can get rid of him?" Jessi asks. Satan tilts his head and looks her over. I think Wyatt is about ready to ring his neck.

"Ah, my dear Jessi. The one who defeated Cressida. I will forever be in your debt for that one." He takes her hand and kisses it before kissing each of her cheeks. I want to close my eyes because I'm sure Wyatt is going to try to attack Satan, but he doesn't. He walks over and puts his arm around Jessi, but that's all.

"Such young love. It's a beautiful thing. In answer to your question, yes, I can take care of him. I understand you may have others that snuck in as well." Satan returns to me and my sisters. His voice is so smooth it's like warm honey. Did he take lessons from Don Juan?

"The Triad is also here. They tried to take Davina, but she was able to get away." I answer him. He turns to the fairy, and I wouldn't believe it if I wasn't seeing it for myself. Satan looks scared of her.

"Yes. The fairy. She's quite powerful. Let me take my trash, and I'll go. Thank you all for catching this one. Please let me know when the others try to attack, and I'll come immediately." Satan grabs Malphas, who tries to change into a raven, but he can't with Satan's hold on him. They disappear into the ground, and it returns to normal. We all look at Davina, who is giggling softly.

"Why is Satan scared of you?" I ask her. She starts twirling.

"I may have met him in the past. You know he has multiple women, and I couldn't let that go, so I had to make a song." I know I shouldn't, but I have to.

"What was the song?" I ask cautiously.

Everyone is too stunned to say anything at first. She actually made a song about Satan, and now he's scared of her. We all look at each other and burst out laughing. Once we calm down, she continues.

"Oh, yeah, I may have blown some of my dust on him to make his penis shrink, too." She giggles and twirls while all the men except Jock move away from her. I think Satan is right to be scared. She's the scariest one of us all.
