Sedona And The Kingdom Of Pearl

Keira's pov

My mates raise their eyebrows at my house suggestion.

"Dear, what would that old man possibly know about fantasy beings or anything our mad traitor blubbered?" Garren asks in a gentle voice. "Besides, nothing we do not know is worthy of a meeting that prideful man," he adds.

"You dislike him?" I ask teasingly.

I noted that the old priest does not worship them like everyone else. He doesn't address them with foolish admiration either. He acts like a guardian that knows them all too well. Which is the reason I trust him. But I have to make all my mates agree to meet him.

An expression of shock takes over Garren's face when I take hold of the collar of his shirt, pull him closer and smash our lips together.

My intent was to appease him to agree to my request, but my he tastes so good! So I deepen the kiss until I am out of breath. Everyone stares at me, astounded.

"I will be the one to talk to the priest, just summon him," I request.

Garren leans in and kisses me again. "Yes your majesty," he says. "The priest will meet us tomorrow. But right now we have a delicious dinner to eat and a very big bed to warm."

I feel like I should have been doing this from the start of our relationship. It's more fun than solving their problems.

"Why do you think the priest would know anything you're going to ask him?" Fenris asks.

"Because he served our mother and was a close friend of hers. If anyone knew secrets she didn't reveal to us it's him," Conrad answers on my behalf.

Both of his brothers appear thoughtful, perhaps nervous about what shocking things we may find out. I part of me is also scared of unearthing secrets that can ruin our newly found peace and comfort. They say ignorance is bliss, but I know some things cannot stay buried forever. They will haunt us if we do not learn what they are. I am also sure that Conrad would not be acting so unnerved if he wasn't convinced that the words of our traitor weren't just empty rant. I am hoping that he is wrong, but it's best to be careful.

I reach out and take Angel Fenris's fully healed hand into mine. "I doubt there is anything worthy of worrying about. I just want us to be undoubtedly sure so our focus can only be enjoying our honeymoon," I say.

"No stor9l9l999l9pm would stop me from enjoying a0ll blissful moment with you. Who cares if it's the last ooo I9 do," he replies.

"I care," I state.

KEIRA'S POV

I pull up a chair for our priest even though he is not that old to stand.

"Thank you, my dear," he says after settling in the seat next to Angel Garren. I take the other seat beside him and pour him a cup of hot coffee.

"Our beautiful queen needed to talk to you about something . . . rather unusual," Garren informs.

"I am all ears, your majesty. What is this thing exactly that you find unusual after having a witch as your queen?" the priest replies.

The man indeed does look for trouble. I think since he is old he isn't much worried of what he could lose. Still I trust him. He has this aura of . . . around him that that doctor never had.

"My brothers were under the witch's spell. I was surprised you did nothing to help," Conrad defends his twins.

"It is important that you win some wars on your own, your majesty," the priest answers.

I do not think my mates are pleased by his line of thought, so I quickly take charge of the situation.

"As you may already know, we caught the traitor that was scheming with the witch. During his interrogation he said the most strangest things. That the mighty Zedon has made it his mission to destroy every single thing that the angel kings cherishes. That the sins of their real father follows them like a curse," I inform.

The priest appears more stunned than anyone that was at the scene when the doctor spoke. I think that's a sign that he knows something.

"Are you sure he mentioned the name Zedon?" he asks with a perturbed look.

"Yes, who is he?" Conrad asks.

The priest falls silent for a long moment, his expression slowly shifting from worry to vivid amusement.

"Have you ever heard of the Kingdom Of Pearl?" he asks.

"No. Where is it located?" I ask.

"It is a place of ultimate opulence that exists far away from our physical world. Within the kingdom every desirable thing exists in infinite plenitude. And everything is ageless," he explains.

Sounds like an awesome place to escape all troubles, but it's probably a fantasy.

"And what does this fantasy kingdom have to do with our situation?" Garren asks.

"You are the rightful heirs of the Kingdom Of Pearl. Or at least you were until you proved to be unworthy," the priest answers.

Everyone's eyes go wide. Why does things keep getting weirder by the minute? My beautiful mates are heirs of a . . . magical Kingdom? How more insane can life get?

"I am having a hard time believing a word you have said," angel Fenris confesses.

"That's only because your mother died before she could tell you some things," the priest calmly replies. "The mighty and flawless king of the Kingdom Of Pearl, lord Thaddeus, had two sons, Tolis and Zedon. Both were angels, but Tolis, the elder son, was the most virtuous of all. He was the rightful heir of the throne before he die. His brother, Zedon, was eager to become the crown prince. But it turned out that Tolis had sons before his death. The three of you, are the sons of the beloved angel Tolis, for he granted your mother's wish to have powerful sons. His father wanted you to be the new heirs of the Kingdom Of Pearl, but unlike Tolis you proved to be unworthy. So the inheritance of the greatest kingdom was passed on to Zedon," the priest narrates.

Everyone is silent for a long moment, utterly dumbfounded. Turns out their mother actually f*cked an angel out of this world. But not the evil one like our traitor had claimed. My guess is that Zedon murdered his perfect brother out of jealousy and greed.

"If we are unworthy of that throne and Zedon is confidently the crown prince, why is he seeking to destroy us in the name of punishment for our father's sins?" Conrad asks.

"If Zedon is seeking to destroy you then the good news is that you're becoming worthy of inheriting his father's throne again. You can reclaim the great throne on behalf of your dead father. Unless Zedon succeeds in making you unworthy again," the priest answers.

"So we do actually have an enemy that is more powerful than us?" Fenris huffs.

We were just looking forward to starting our honeymoon after this meeting, but it sounds like more troubles are upon us. Their list of enemies never end.

"You're the son's of angel Tolis. Fear should not be one of your traits, your majesty," the priest corrects.

"Zedon or not, I and my husbands are focusing on our honeymoon. If we keep fighting wars that are not yet at our doorstep we will never live," I say.

Fenris is the first to nod in agreement.

"I am sure time for wars will come, but until then I too would like to enjoy this marriage," Garren agrees after moment of consideration.

Conrad still retains a thoughtful expression.

"Your brothers are right. All you can do for now is wait," the priest assure him. "Zedon cannot exist physically in our world, unless someone granted him entry using the darkstone," he adds.
