Chapter 62 Sienna's pov

Chapter 62 Sienna's pov
For a moment, time stopped. I was not scared but my wolf was angry, pissed.

I gave a direct ordered and a mere guard, a nobody interrupted me.

The severed head lay on the stone floor right in front of me, the eyes still wide open, frozen in shock.

Blood spread slowly, creeping like a dark stain across the tiles of the hall. I could hear gasps, sharp breaths, the faint sound of someone retching in the corner.
Silence followed.

I was not sure if the elders were scared or they were expecting me to make a move.

My chest tightened as anger rushed through my veins. I could feel my wolf stirring, furious, demanding control.
No one had ever done this before. No one had dared shed blood in my court without my command.

Lucian stood in front of Sienna, his shoulders squared, blood splattered on his clothes. His eyes glowed brightly now, no longer faint.

Power rolled off him in waves, thick and heavy, pressing against everyone in the hall.

I clenched my fists.

He had crossed a line. A line that could never be erased.
“Did you just kill my guard?” I asked slowly, my voice low but deadly.

Lucian did not bow.

He did not kneel.

He did not even look afraid.

“He was reaching for my mate,” he replied. “That was his last mistake.”

The word mate echoed in my head like a curse.
Murmurs erupted again. The elders whispered loudly now. Some stood up from their seats. Others looked at Sienna with wide eyes, as if seeing her for the first time.
My jaw tightened.

This was getting out of hand.

“You dare claim her?” I snapped. “In my hall? After I have sentenced her to death?”

Lucian turned slightly, just enough to look at me. “You sentenced her without truth. Without proof. Without justice.”

That word struck something in me.

Justice.

I laughed, but there was no humor in it. “You speak of justice after spilling blood before your Alpha?”
“You stopped being an Alpha the moment you chose lies over truth,” he shot back.

The hall exploded.

“How dare you!”

“Treason!”

“He should be killed too!”

Elder Vincent raised his hand, signaling for silence, though I could see the tension in his face. This was not how things were supposed to be.

I took a step closer to Lucian.

Every eye followed me.

“You forget yourself,” I said coldly. “You forget your place.”
Lucian did not move. “No. I finally remembered it.”

I growled softly, unable to stop it. My wolf pushed harder, demanding dominance. The air thickened as my aura spread through the hall. Some of the weaker wolves shifted uncomfortably.

A few elders lowered their heads.
Lucian staggered slightly, but he did not fall.
Interesting.

“You claim she is your mate,” I said, turning my gaze briefly to Sienna. She was shaking behind him, her face pale, eyes glossy with tears.

“Then explain how a wolfless girl suddenly becomes bonded to you.”

“She was never wolfless,” Lucian replied firmly. “You took everything from her. Her wolf only went into hiding.”

A sharp pain stabbed my chest.

I pushed it away.
“That is impossible,” I said. “I rejected her. The bond was broken.”

Lucian shook his head. “You rejected her because you chose to. Because you believed the wrong people.”

My eyes flickered, almost against my will, toward Olivere.
She was standing beside Juliet, her smile gone now and replaced by anger.

This was dragging for too long.

“ Let me handle this.” Elder Vincent said slowly, placing a hand on me.

Elder Vincent walked closer to him and smirked. “ Did you infiltrate my home and rescue her?”

Luciana's gaze darted towards me. “ Have you been to anything that I said? She is not going to be killed and if any of you try to come near her, you are all going to feel my wrath.”

The room went silent.

Lucian was not only joking but he was commanding the room. The door opened and a group of elite guards walked in.

Their clothes were different and I noticed their wolves carried power.

I watched as Lucian grabbed her hands. It made me a bit jealous. I had seen anyone show her so much kindness aside from Marcus who stood still staring like he had anticipated what was going to happen.

“ Kill them and bring Alpha Stephan their heads.” Elder Vincent commanded

The elite guard formed a circle and launched at Lucian in a coordinated attack.

The attack was swift and fast.

The elite guards moved as one, blades flashing, claws extended, their wolves roaring as they lunged for Lucian.
The hall erupted into chaos—elders shouting, wolves snarling, Sienna’s sharp cry slicing through the noise.
I didn’t move.

I watched.

Lucian shifted just enough to pull Sienna behind him. His body twisted unnaturally fast, faster than any normal wolf should move. The first guard never even touched him.

Lucian’s elbow crushed into the man’s throat with a sickening crack. Another blade sliced across Lucian’s arm—
And that was when it happened.

Blood spilled.

But it wasn’t red.

It shimmered and glowed faintly.

Blue.

Bright, unmistakable, glowing faintly under the torches like liquid moonlight.

The world froze.

The guards staggered back as if burned. One of them slipped on the blood and fell hard, staring at his own hands in horror.

Blue blood.

My heart slammed violently against my ribs.

No.

That was impossible.

The elders gasped in unison. Chairs scraped violently as some of them stood. Others fell back into their seats as if their legs had given out.

“By the Ancients…” someone whispered.

Elder Vincent’s smirk vanished instantly. His face drained of color as his eyes locked onto the blood staining the floor.
True Alpha blood.

Royal blood.

The kind spoken of only in forbidden histories and half-forgotten prophecies.

Lucian straightened slowly, his arm bleeding freely now, blue rivulets dripping to the stone floor. His eyes burned brighter, no longer just glowing—but blazing. The air shifted violently, crushing, dominant. Even my wolf whimpered, forced to its knees.

I took an involuntary step back.
Impossible.
Dead.
Extinct.
That bloodline had been wiped out centuries ago.
Lucian lifted his gaze and met mine.

And in that moment, I knew my seat, my throne was threatened.

“ Seize him!” I commanded
