Chapter 33

On the other hand, Victor was engulfed in a cold sweat of panic. The situation had spiraled out of control in a way he hadn’t anticipated. There was only one set of the luxurious banquet menu that had been prepared specifically for the Platinum Suite, and it had already been served to those uninvited guests. Victor’s mind raced as he struggled to come up with a solution. What would he do when the real esteemed guests, the ones who were meant to occupy this opulent space, arrived? The pressure of the moment bore down on him, and he knew that there was no room for error.

Aden, completely oblivious to the gravity of the situation, abruptly stood up from his chair, his expression a blend of defiance and frustration. “What is this nonsense? I’m the one who made the reservation for this suite! Who are you to come in here and create such a scene?” His voice, though filled with indignation, trembled slightly as he spoke.

Victor fixed a piercing gaze on Aden, his expression unyielding and severe. “Are you Aden Johnson?” His voice was low, but there was a steely edge to it that conveyed his disapproval.

Aden, attempting to puff out his chest in a display of misplaced pride, responded, “Yes, that’s me! I made a reservation for this suite. I’m not going to let you push me around!”

Without missing a beat, Victor’s eyes narrowed as he gave a curt command. “Bring him over here.”

Two formidable men, each exuding an aura of authority and strength, moved forward with deliberate precision. They gently, but firmly, guided Aden away from his seat and began leading him towards Victor. Aden, his face a mask of both defiance and growing anxiety, tried to resist. “What are you doing? Let go of me!” His voice was filled with a mix of desperation and anger.

One of the men replied in a stern tone, “Be quiet and follow us.”

As they guided Aden to the ground in front of Victor, he found himself unable to avoid the reality of his predicament. Victor, with an expression of cold judgment, surveyed Aden from head to toe, making him feel like a mere insect under a magnifying glass.

Victor then threw a piece of paper and the bill onto Aden’s lap with a sharp, deliberate motion. “Who gave you the authority to use this room?” His tone was harsh and unyielding.

Aden, attempting to maintain some semblance of composure, cleared his throat nervously. “There must be some sort of misunderstanding. I reserved this Platinum Suite and paid a deposit of three hundred thousand dollars. I have the receipt to prove it!”

At that moment, Daniel, trying to salvage what he could have the situation, spoke up from the sidelines. “What’s the problem here? Aden made a reservation. Are there no rules in this place?”

Victor dismissed Daniel’s interjection with a dismissive wave of his hand. “Platinum Suite? Are you kidding me? This isn’t just any room; this is the exclusive Platinum Suite, reserved for only the highest-ranking guests. It’s clear that you’ve been lying.”

The revelation hit the room like a thunderclap. The grandeur of the suite, with its extravagant décor and the luxurious spread of food and drinks, was suddenly seen in a new light. It wasn’t the Golden Suite, as they had all been led to believe, but the far more exclusive and prestigious Platinum Suite.

Daniel’s face went ashen as the full weight of the realization struck him. The Platinum Suite was a realm reserved for the city’s most elite, and he and his companions were entirely out of their depth.

Sarah, her voice tinged with desperation, turned to Aden. “Aden, didn’t you say you knew Nicholas Smith? You need to explain this to them right now!”

Aden, now fully panicked, stammered in response. “How could I possibly know Nicholas Smith? I never claimed that!”

“But you just said—” Sarah began to protest, but her voice faltered under the strain of the grim reality they were facing.

Loretta observed the scene with a detached and somewhat grim amusement. It was evident to her now that Aden was nothing more than a boastful fraud, and her disappointment was palpable. The facade of his confidence had been shattered, revealing nothing but pretense.

Victor’s expression turned colder, almost venomous. “How dare you invoke Nicholas Smith’s name when you have no right to be here. Are you trying to get yourself into serious trouble?”

With a wave of his hand, Victor commanded his men, “Hold him down. I’m going to make an example out of him.”

Aden found himself restrained, unable to move, as Victor picked up a stick from a nearby table with a grim determination. The severity of the situation was sinking in as Victor prepared to demonstrate the consequences of their deception.

Victor’s first strike was aimed at Aden’s hand, and the impact elicited a sharp cry of pain. “Argh… My hand! My hand!” Aden cried out, his voice trembling as tears mingled with the sweat on his brow. The pain was intense, and Aden’s body convulsed as he struggled to endure it. His sobs and cries filled the room, adding to the oppressive atmosphere of fear.

Daniel and Sarah watched in horrified silence, their faces pale and their bodies trembling. The sight of Aden’s punishment was more than they could bear, and their own fear was compounded by the knowledge of their own precarious situation.

Loretta, equally shaken by the scene, clung to Andrew for support. “What are we going to do? Are they going to hurt us?”

Andrew, trying to offer reassurance in the midst of chaos, placed a comforting hand on Loretta’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, I’m here. No one will harm you. I won’t let that happen.”

Though Loretta was uncertain about Andrew’s ability to navigate the situation, his words brought a modicum of comfort amidst the turmoil.

Victor, now turning his attention to the remaining group, kicked Aden’s unconscious form aside with a dismissive gesture. “And what about the rest of you? How dare you occupy the Platinum Suite without permission? You will face the consequences of this!”

As Victor’s eyes fell on Daniel and Sarah, a menacing figure approached Loretta with a predatory look in his eyes.

“How dare you!” Andrew’s voice cut through the tension as he stepped protectively in front of Loretta.

Victor’s eyes flashed with anger as he demanded, “Who are you to challenge me?”

Andrew met his gaze with unwavering resolve. “You should be careful how you address me. You will come to regret this.”

Victor sneered, his expression one of contempt. “You think you can threaten me? You’re only making things worse for yourself!”

He gestured sharply to his men. “Deal with them! They dared to misuse the Platinum Suite, and they must face the consequences!”

At that exact moment, a thunderous voice echoed from outside the room. “Victor! What the hell do you think you’re doing? How dare you lay a hand on Mr. Blackwood? You will answer for this, I promise you!”

Victor froze, his eyes widening in shock as the weight of Nicholas Smith’s fury settled upon him.
