Chapter 169
Lucifer

Angel and I was already out of Kid’s dream, but she was still there I don’t know if she was trapped or just wanted time before she waked up. I wasn’t taken it very well. I kept on shaking her and saying “Kid wake up, Kid please wake up.” Angel was next to me also worrying about what was going on. We knew he will be gone if we killed him but we never asked the witch what will happen to Kid when we killed him and that was what was going through my mind over and over. Eventually Niki started to speak “You shouldn’t have trusted that witch.” He said over and over. I grabbed the phone and called Adri. Thank God she picked up. 

“Lucifer?” She asked as she answered. “Yes, it’s me we killed him but Kid is not waking up.” “Tell me everything.” I told her what happened and what happened with Heath. She could hear I was stressing a lot. “Lucifer just breath.” “I can’t.” “You can go back into the dream just hold her hand.” “I tried she’s not letting me.” “Maybe she just needs time.” “Time for what?” “Time to get to terms with the fact that Gabriel is gone and that she might have a vampire as a dad.” Fuck I didn’t look at it that way.  I told her she can work it out when she’s awake. “Should I put her ring on?” “Leave her another 30 minutes and then if she doesn’t wake up put her ring on, she will come out of the dream then.” “Why should I give her 30 minutes?” “Like I said give her time to get to terms with everything.” “Okay but only 30 minutes.” I said good bye and set my timer on my watch she’s not getting a minute longer than 30 minutes.

Kid

I was still sitting in the daisy field, Lucifer and Angel tried to come back but I kept them out I needed some me time. I needed to realized Gabriel was dead and he won’t ever be able to hurt me again. Then I also have to come to terms with the fact that my dad wasn’t really my dad. Would I have even known that if Gabriel didn’t haunt me.  Was it a good or a bad thing that I know this now? Probable best to know than not. But did my father know and if he did how did he feel about it? That is all the questions that was going through my mind as I sat in the daisy field. I could feel my body being shake but I didn’t want to come out yet. “What am I going to do with Heath?” I asked myself out load because now I was alone and I can speak to myself. There was nothing to do I can listen to him and decide if I want him a part of my life I don’t have to if I don’t want to. At least that is in my hands. Heath can also tell me how it was for my mother when she was pregnant with me, that way I will know when I get pregnant what to expect. So maybe it was a very good thing. I decided to see it as a positive. I stood up looked around the daisy field again and at the tree. Before I open my eyes, I said “Wipe it clean.” Then suddenly it was just darkness. I open my eyes and smiled when I saw Lucifer I left Gabriel in a space of nothingness.

“Thank God you are awake. Angel, Niki she’s awake.” Lucifer screamed. “I’m okay Lucifer.” He had my ring in his hand and was pushing it on my finger and putting my necklace on as I got up into a sitting position. “Okay now you are safe.” “I was fine Lucifer I just wanted to sit there for a minute and just come to terms with everything.” “But you didn’t let us back in?” “It’s because I wanted to be alone. I’m sorry.” “No no it’s okay as long as you are okay.” His watch alarm went off. He press the button and quiet it down. “What was that for?” “Adri said I should give you 30 minutes before I put your ring on your finger that would have brought you out of the dream state.” “Oh, you phoned Adri?” “Yes, we were scared shitless she told us what will happen to Gabriel, she never told us what will happen to you when his dead.” “I’m sorry I made you worry.” “Don’t worry at least you are here now.” “I am and I’m thirsty.” 

Niki gave me the water, but I wanted something else. “Is there soda?” “I’ll go and get some.” Niki said as he left the room. “I’m going to leave the two of you alone now.” Angel said. “Angel before you go, I want to say thank you, thank you for everything you have done, thank you for helping Lucifer kill him and thank you for being by my side.” “It’s a pleasure Kid but you are going to get sick of me as the 3 of us are linked now.” “I will never get sick of you.” Lucifer gave me an unhappy look when Angel left the room. “What did you mean by that?” “What?” “That you will never get sick of him?” “Well, I won’t like he said we are bound to each other we can’t get sick of each other.” “Does that mean you will never get sick of me as well?” “Lucifer you are the love of my life I will never get tired of you.” “Even if Heath tells you horrible stories about me?” “Even then, I know you and I know what kind of man you are today and that is all that matters to me.” “Thank you, Kid, because I love you more than words could say and will be devasted if you ever leave me.” “You are the one that will get sick of me Lucifer.” He pulled me into a hug and whispered in my ear “Never.”
