Chapter 43 Red-headed vampire
Ezekiel was wearing a blue T-shirt. His black hair was combed smoothly, covering some parts of his elegant face. He looked like an ancient God descended from the night heavens.
Something was weird;he wasn't alone, and the person beside him also carried an intimidating aura, making the atmosphere in the church hall thick and dark.
Beside Ezekiel,a man as tall as he was walked next to him. His eyes were red and so was his hair. Lashes also red as fire. He wore a red robe, leaving only his face in view. He was damn handsome, and Isabella couldn't help but feel a pang of irritation due to his red hair.
The men walked towards Evan and Ella's direction, making Evan's belly turn. They both panicked but controlled the pace of their hearts. Of course, vampires are sensitive hearers.
They were five steps away from their seat when Rebecca immediately emerged from nowhere as a rescue.
“Hi,”Lady Rebecca stepped forward, greeting them with a warm smile.
The men gave her a stern look marked with no expression.Rebecca was used to them anyway, so she didn't bother stretching out her hand, knowing fully well they wouldn't accept it.
“What can I help you with?”asked Rebecca. Evan tried to take her attention off them, but it was a barrier for her.
“We need your help,” it was the red-headed vampire that spoke. His voice was hoarse, making Ella shiver a bit. His voice was marked with no warmth at all. Though they needed help, his voice sounded nothing like pleading. It sounded more like a demand or an order.
Evan and Ella pretended as though they were both chatting;meanwhile, they were both listening to how the novel was going to unfold.
Rebecca nodded her head as she led them towards an exit. She also invited both Ella and Evan to come along.
Rebecca took them all to a little room not too far from the church hall. The room had nothing in it except ten wooden chairs. It looked as dull as a graveyard.
“I really don't have time for this.I am not here for fun,” the red-headed sneered at one glance at the room. The room was painted colorless. They all got in, and Rebecca tried stopping herself from replying to the vampire. Of course, Evan took a seat near Isabella, just in case. After all, her kidney was shivering in fright. But being in the same room with this bastard was enough to send chills beneath her skin.
Though she couldn't define why she was feeling that way.Not that she was scared of him, but it sounds weird to her. Seeing him, an urge stirred in to take her knife and fight.
Zeke sat next to the red-headed vampire. His features were unmoving. His eyes were as cold as ice. No one dared meet his icy cold eyes. Rebecca and two other sisters sat at the opposite side of the room.
“I'm glad you came with me,”Rebecca smiled warmly, making the red-headed send a dead glare.
He seemed so handsome but…he looked wicked.
“I don't have time for drama. It would be nice of you to give me what I want,” the red-headed blurted.
“What do you truly need?” one of the sisters asked, making a sarcastic smile form on the red-headed vampire’s lips.
“We are here to get a white witch,”he replied, smiling sarcastically. Ella's eyes frowned. She hated vampires with a passion. These leashes think they can take white witches like a piece of wood or whatever they wish. She gritted her teeth hard as her eyes started turning red.
“We aren't a piece of wood you can want,”Isabella shot back at the vampire with gritted teeth.
“Haha, you really think you have a voice? Seems like you want this church to fall,” the red-headed vampire mocked.
This made Ella more angry.“True. We don't have a voice,” a painful sound left Evan's lips as she glared hard at the vampire. Though her face didn't carry much intensity as his. If this was her real face, there was a 100% chance that this vampire wouldn't be able to stand it.
She looked like a badass villainess. And she just prayed that this spell expire fast so she could finally be in her original form.
Not only did the red-headed get surprised at her words, it also caught the attention of Ezekiel, who was motionless all this while.
Zeke stared at the short-haired girl. His lips lifted up, making everyone in the room, including the red-headed vampire, surprised to the core.
Ella got scared while Evan held Ezekiel’s gaze.It was a little surprising that she could stare at his stone face whereas hers carried no intensity. She looked like a weak Bambi.
“We will kindly give you what you want,”Rebecca said. They don't want much trouble.
“I'll give myself,”she said, standing up from her seat.
Ella felt like killing both vampires. She wants to protect all her people from these bloodsucking creatures.
Rebecca sent a glance at her queen as if letting her know it was okay.Simon, the red-headed, smiled in satisfaction.
Ella was still trying to stay calm and let go. Evan breathed out in relief, happy she didn't start a fight. Everyone thought it was over until the other vampire pointed at Evan. Evan's eyes widened in awe. She was suddenly dumbstruck hard.
“Huh?”she asked.
She saw him bend down, whispering something in the other vampire’s ear, making him smile. Evan bit her bottom lips. At this moment, she was ready to lash out with fury.
“That one,I want her with me,” Ezekiel declared, making Evan lose it.
“Hey!I am not a slave you can want, did you understand, you pervert!!!” Evan stood, screaming at the top of her voice.
“Do you realize what you're doing? He is the duke of Greenwave. Obey his orders,” Simon smiled.
‘This one is obviously a psycho,’Evan thought.
“Are you deaf?I have my rights,” said Evan as a deep line formed between her brows.
“Sadly,Greenwave isn't ruled by white witches, but by vampires, so obey my order,” came Ezekiel's words. Cold and merciless.
“Well sadly,I'm no white witch!!”
