Chapter 125 125

Chapter 125 125
Julian’s POV

If the punching bag in front of me had a mouth to talk, I’m sure it would have asked me what it had done to deserve the anger that I was raining on it.

But even though I have been at this for over an hour, it still did not soothe the anger that was burning within me. I don’t know if anything will ever soothe it. Instead, it was going wilder, and I was feeling more and more like I would snap and do something I was not supposed to do.

The look on her face when I told her that has not left my head. It was like she was etched into my memory to torture me. Another thing that drove me crazy was the fact that she’s been in my house and everywhere I looked, she was there. It made me feel like a piece of shit.

What I said, what I did. Everything made me feel horrible. And I started to think that maybe there was a way I could have resolved it without getting her really involved. Maybe I could still have kept her by my side without making her feel like she did not matter. She means a lot to me.

I’ve come to realize that I care about her more than I thought, and she has come to occupy a large space in my black heart. But I also did not want to bring her over to the dark side of my life.

The more I dragged it out, the harder it would be for me. I then snickered in my head. Right now, it is hard. I don’t know how hard it could get.

My heart that rarely beats in my chest has been beating more rapidly than ever whenever I think about her, which is always these days. It’s like she’s the only thing I can think about.

Arnold.

I was already working on ways to bring him down. But the last conversation I had with him, it was like he was the one with the upper hand. And I let him have the victory he thinks he owns. One thing I have come to realize is that I don’t do well when I’m threatened. And he has made sure to put me in a position where I would not be able to say no to him this time around. And I will make him regret that.

Suddenly, my ears perked at the sound that was made in my house, and I snapped my head towards the door. Just then, Cole walked in like he owned the place and put my guard down.

“You’re getting sloppy, cousin.” He said lazily as he strolled in like he owned the place. I held the punching bag in place and narrowed my eyes at him.

“What are you doing in my house?” I asked him dismissively, but my gut told me that I knew why he was here already.

“Why? Are you gonna send me out? Don’t worry. I’ve always told you that whatever belongs to you belongs to me too. We twin like that. So, moving in,” he pinned me with a glare, and there was an icy expression in his eyes.

It was very rare to see Cole angry. He was like a goofball most of the time and made jokes even in the most serious moments. If I were not his cousin, or did not know him well enough, I would be a little taken aback by how he looked right now.

“Why did you decide to do that to Kimberly?” He asked me straight off the bat, not to beat around the bush. That was good. And ignored the pang that the mention of her name caused in my chest. I needed to get the heart removed if this would be how it would continue palpitating and causing me discomfort.

“What I do is none of your business,” I said to him. Not caring about how that sounded.

Anger flashed in his eyes.

“Are you sure about that?” He started to remove the shirt that he was wearing and I knew what was about to happen.

“Dead sure.”

“So, after your cowardly move, you stopped coming to school. You’ve not been around for almost a week now after dropping that on her. You know what, she’s been waiting for you. She would not admit it no matter how much I push her, but I can see it in her eyes. She wants to talk to you. Maybe yell at you for what you said to her and get some closure. But then, you decide to act like a fucking bastard that you and not even have the balls to show up and clear up your mess after what you’ve done.” His words were guarded, but then, I could feel the anger that was coming through them.

My ears perked, and my nose flared with anger. I hated the composure he had and how he was speaking.

“What right do you have to meddle in my business? What is it to you?” I snapped at him, feeling my fangs start to ache. I was itching for a fight with him. Maybe I needed a real body to blow off some steam. And he was already making himself available because I could sense that he came here with the kind of intent to get into a fight with me. That’s great too. He was already wearing just his briefs now, and he was bouncing a little on his toes.

“Meddle? Well, it’s my business. I hate seeing her like that. She looks almost lifeless. And you’re the one who did that to her. You’ve made it impossible for her to even talk to me. London, who is a piece of shit, is worried about her and Sandy t
ethers around like she would break.”

Fuck.
