Chapter 46 Anxiety.
I have been in the God forsaken place for a week now and I'm getting frustrated. I'm always anxious because everyone here is scary. Just like at the vampire palace, the vampires gave me nasty looks and looks of hunger, but unlike the palace I could see the darkness in their eyes. These vampires would not hesitate to break me completely if given the chance.
I've seen how they treated the humans. It's like keeping animals for work. They had painful chains wrapped tightly around their necks, hands and legs and their head was always lowered.
Every human I've seen so far had nasty scars, bruises and injuries all over their bodies. They wore tattered and dirty clothes that barely covered their bodies. They were thin and malnourished, tired and hopeless like they have given up on the world.
Seeing such cruelty made bile rise in my throat and I felt the urge to cry for these poor souls. These people might have families somewhere out there, but here they are treated like animals.
My heart ached for them. I remembered What Sarah told me about this man Giron breeding humans and how her birth mother was here. Would she be alive? With all these level of cruelty I doubt she will be.
I hugged my knees to my chest and whimpered lowly. I wasn't treated like the rest of the humans. In fact, I was kept in a beautiful room with a Queen sized bed. Everyday, some human slaves comes in to dress me up and give me some food, but they never said a word to me. They just do their jobs and scurry out before I get the chance to start a conversation.
I was very lonely here. At least back at the palace, I had Sarah, Lysander and even Domenic to keep me company, but here I had no one and I knew no one. I don't know when they are going to turn on me and make me one of their slaves. I just want Domenic to come save me. I know he will.
But why is he taking so long to come for me?
The door opened and I jumped up from the floor I have been seated on and stood back pressing myself against the wall. I get scared when the door was opened, especially at an unusual time of the day because I knew it's not the humans who usually comes to dress me up.
The humans were there. Two young women dressed in a grey colored tattered gown. Their dark hairwas greasy and dirty, and I have never gotten a proper look at their faces because they always had their heads down covered with their hair.
Their arms had nasty scars both old and fresh ones. My heart always aches for them. I wish I could help, but what can a poor human who wasn't sure of her own fate do for them?
A huge man came in with them. He was dressed in a sleeveless black shirt showing off his huge meaty bicep. His face was a scowl and his head was shaven clean. His red eyes watched me with disgust, reminding me of the bastard who drugged me and got me in this situation in the first place.
"The master wants to see you!" He growled in a deep voice that almost shook the room. The two humans behind him were shaking at the tone of his voice, but I tired not to look affected. I won't show these pricks that they scared me to death.
I lifted my head defiantly and replied. "Why does he want to see me? Is he going to send me back to the palace? If not, I'm not leaving this room."
His eyes flashed in rage and in four long steps, he was already across the room and right in front of me. He grabbed my chin harshly and got in my face. My heart squeezed in fear and I tried not to whimper. "Just because you were given a bed must have gotten the wrong message into your head that you're special. Do not test me human! Talk back again and I'll rip you apart!"
He pushed me away from him and I could barely stand on my feet as my legs jiggled in fear. This time, I couldn't hide my terror. This guy isn't joking, he might really snap my neck if I kept acting stubborn.
The big guy looked behind him at the two human slaves and spoke harshly. "Get her ready in five minutes or there will be no dinner for you!" He stomped out after that, and the humans immediately hurried to carry out his orders without a word.
Tears blinded my eyes as they undressed me and rushed me into the bathroom.
Fuck I hate this place!
When are you coming Domenic? I need you.
I was dolled up in a pretty blue dress that reminds me of Cinderella. What's with the extra dress up today? They even did my hair and make up beautifully and adorned my neck and ears with sparkling necklace and earrings.
Wait? Am I going to a party or what?
All effort to get the humans to talk to me was fruitless. Speaking to them was like talking to a wall. They acted like they couldn't hear me, but I know it's not because they were stuck up or anything, they were just scared.
They must have gone through a lot and it made me sad for them.
In five minutes, the big guy returned and he was satisfied to find me ready. "Follow me!" He commanded and began to lead me out of the room to the master.
I have met him three times since I've been here. I mean the master Giron. He was this handsome man I met at the king's party some time ago who requested to buy me from the King. Seeing that the king refused, I wasn't expecting that he would result to kidnapping me.
I really want Domenic to find me and punch him in the face, because I apparently can't do that myself unless I have a death wish.
I was brought to a bedroom. A fancy large bedroom with huge bed and red curtains covering every window in the room. The source of light was the chandelier on the ceiling. It brightened up the room.
Seated majestically on the bed was the master Giron with his usual annoying smirk on his face. He was wearing an unknotted robe leaving his hard chest bare.
I couldn't help feeling anxious. Why am I in his bedroom? And why is he wearing a robe?
My mind flew to unpleasant places and I was almost having a panic attack.
"I have brought the human, master." The big guy announced like Giron wasn't already looking at me like a special treat he couldn't wait to devour.
I hate the way he looks at me. It scars me and makes me feel like an object. I was panicking as I wondered what his next move would be? Don't tell me he wants to take me against my will.
"Leave us." He ordered the big guy, and the big guy bowed and left, leaving just me and Giron in the room.
My heart pounded so fast in fear and anxiety.
Oh no!
