Chapter One Hundred and Four
As I journeyed with Queen Solaria in the magical forest world, I knew that I was being pushed to my limits. Every day, she gave me new tests and challenges to overcome, each one more difficult than the last. I knew that she was trying to help me tap into the full extent of my magical abilities, but it was exhausting work.
Despite the difficulties, I was grateful to be able to explore the beautiful, glowing world of the fairies. Every night, I returned to the palace to share my adventures with Damien. We would walk through the magical forest, marveling at the sparkling trees and shimmering flowers. As we walked, we fell deeper in love, and we couldn't resist the temptation to make love beneath the stars.
As the weeks went on, I became increasingly exhausted. Queen Solaria was pushing me harder and harder, and it seemed like I was always tired. I would spend hours in the forest, practicing magic and learning new spells, and by the time I returned to the palace, I was ready to collapse into bed.
Despite the challenges, I knew that I was making progress. I could feel my magic growing stronger every day, and I was confident that I would be able to break the illegal compulsion spell that had been placed on the academy.
One night, as Damien and I lay in bed, I turned to him and said, "I think I'm ready. I can feel my magic growing stronger every day, and I know that I can break the spell."
"I have no doubt that you can," Damien said, taking my hand in his. "You are the strongest, bravest person I have ever met. I know that you can do anything you set your mind to."
"You know I love you right?" I asked him, Damien smiled. "Of course I do." He said, kissing my hand.
I smiled at Damien, feeling a warmth in my heart. With his support, I knew that I could do anything. Together, we would bring an end to the illegal spell, and bring justice to those who had been wronged.
-----
The next morning was my final test.
As I stood in the forest with Queen Solaria, I knew that this would be hard. She had pushed me to my limits, and now it was time to see if I had truly mastered the magic needed to break the illegal compulsion spell.
"Isabella," Queen Solaria said, her voice grave and serious. "You have come far, but this is the final challenge. You must channel all of your magic into breaking the spell. It will require all of your strength and determination. Are you ready?"
I took a deep breath and nodded. "I am ready," I said, my voice steady and determined.
Queen Solaria held out her hand, and a glowing orb of magic appeared in her palm. "This is the spell," she said. "You must break it with your magic. Focus all of your energy on destroying it."
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath, summoning all of the magic that I had learned over the past weeks. I focused on the glowing orb, and with all of my strength, I sent a burst of magic towards it.
The orb shattered, sending sparks flying in every direction. When I opened my eyes, I saw that the forest around me was glowing with a bright, white light.
"You did it," Queen Solaria said, a proud smile on her face. "You have mastered the magic needed to break the spell. You have proven yourself to be a powerful and worthy sorceress."
I couldn't help but smile, feeling a sense of accomplishment wash over me. "Thank you, Queen Solaria," I said, bowing my head in gratitude. "I couldn't have done it without your help."
The next morning, Damien and I said our goodbyes to Queen Solaria and the other fairies. Our time there had been so magical, in every sense of the word.
We teleported back to Colton's parents' house, and to our surprise, we discovered that it had only been two days since we left.
"I can't believe it," Damien said, shaking his head in amazement. "It feels like we've been gone for weeks."
"It's the magic of the fairy world," I told him, taking my hand in his. "Time moves differently there. But no matter how long we were gone, it's good to be back."
"Back to the creepy people." Damien said, I rolled my eyes.
"You're more vampire than me." I said to him.
"Yeah whatever, let's just fix this." He said.
"We have to go back to the school. I think the source is there." I told Damien, our flirty attitudes dissapearing. "You're right, lead the way."
I smiled at Damien, feeling a warmth in my heart. We had come a long way together, and I knew that we would always be there for each other, no matter what challenges we faced.
-----------------
After escaping from Coltons parents house we made our way back to the Academy.
As Damien and I stood on the mountain top overlooking the school, I knew that the time had come to break the spell. It was the only way to free everyone from its hold, and to finally bring an end to the illegal magic that had been used against us.
"Are you ready?" Damien asked, his voice serious and determined. "Yes." I said.
After trying for hours to break the spell I realized it was no use. I turned to Damien, my heart heavy with the knowledge that the source of the spell was beneath the school, where they had kept him prisoner. "I have to go in the school," I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
"I can't let you go back in there," Damien said, his eyes filled with concern. "It's too dangerous."
"I have to," I said, determination filling my voice. "It's the only way to break the spell and free everyone from its hold."
Damien hesitated for a moment before finally nodding. "Okay," he said. "But I am coming with you. Use your magic to make me resistant to the spell. That way, it won't be able to control me like it did before."
I hesitated, knowing that using my magic to resist the spell would be painful for Damien. The spell would eventually melt his brain if he resisted it for too long.
"No," I said. Damien grabbed my hand, lowering his tall body to look me in his eyes. "That's an order Isabella," he said angrily. I looked at him with tears in my eyes.
"Please don't make me do this." I said to him, but I knew he was thinking clearly. He had to keep me protected and in check in case I couldn't break the spell. I had no other choice. I couldn't let Damien be caught in the spell again.
So I focused all of my magic into making Damien resistant to the spell, feeling a sense of desperation as I did so. When I was finished, Damien let out a loud groan, his face contorted with pain.
"I'm sorry," I whispered, tears streaming down my face. "I can only make you resistant for as long as your body can resist the compulsion, maybe an hour"
Damien reached out and took my hand, his eyes filled with understanding. "I know," he said, his voice strained with pain. "I'll be okay. I just need a minute to recover. I'm used to torture my love"
I nodded, feeling guilty for causing Damien pain. But I knew that it was necessary. Together, Damien and I descended the mountain and made our way back to the school, ready to face whatever dangers lay ahead.
