Chapter 103: Chapter One Hundred and Three
I only will be writing A FEW chapters more! Colton, Damien, and Isabella will be coming to a close soon 3
Some of you are going to hate me for this one (but idc) I am writing a fantasy novel ending for my favorite fantasy novel book. I love these characters so much, thank you for your support and love for them too.
-------------------
Once I had been settled in my bedroom that Colton so sweetly made for me, I immediately snuck out to speak to Damien.
I couldn't believe what was happening. How could the spell have spread so far, ensnaring even Colton's own family? It was a terrifying thought, and I knew that I had to do something about it.
I ran behind one of the secret passages of Coltons castle, a hall we had used to sneak up together late at night because his parents didn't let us sleep together. I accidentally ran into Damien, who was on his way to speak to me.
"Ow." He said as I collided into him.
"Damien." I said in a serious tone.
"Izzy." Damien said, I rolled my eyes.
"I don't like that name." I said to him, brushing myself off. Damien laughed.
"I had a lot of time to think of nicknames when I was passed out for a month." He said to me.
"Okay, this is serious. I think I need to leave." I said to Damien.
"You need to leave here? Yeah, obviously, I was coming to get you." Damien said. My heart sank.
"Erm, no Damien. I need to like, leave leave." I said to him, Damien was confused.
"I have to go to the other realm. The fairy one. Nothing here is safe anymore, I have to go learn how to break the spell." I explained to Damien.
Damien shook his head, "I just fucking got you again, I'm not about to say bye." He said. "You have no idea how much I missed you." He said to me.
"I missed you too, but we can't trust anyone. It seems like I've somehow relieved you of the spell, but I have no idea how. And to do it widescale, against the whole court and all of my friends who have turned against me? It's too much Damien." I said to him. Damien was upset but trying to understand.
"How long will you be gone?" He asked me in defeat.
"It will probably be like, two days your time." I said to him.
"And how many years is that?" Damien asked.
"About one, I think." I said to him. Damien sighed.
"That's not fair, for you." He said to me.
"I want to fight a war for you. Even if I have to do it alone, stay Bella, I will figure this out." Damien said, lowering himself to his knees and kissing my stomach.
"It has to be magic, not war." I said to Damien. "Well, war will most likely follow, depending on how many vampire royals are under the compulsion spell versus actually in favor of the reform." I corrected myself.
"I'll take you to the entrance." Damien said.
"I actually can create my own." I said to him with a smile. He looked so sad.
"Fuck, I don't know why I'm crying. It's just two days." Damien said, wiping his tears.
"I missed you too Dame's." I said to him, mimicking his shitty nickname creation. I used my magic to create the portal to the other realm.
"I'll see you soon love." He said to me, grasping my fingertips.
As I stepped through the portal and into the magical realm, I felt a rush of power surge through me. I was a half a freaking fairy, after all.
I focused my energy felt the magic coursing through my veins as I traveled through the fairy world in search of a solution.
The familiar feeling of fire filled my body as I stepped through the portal to the magical place I had spent so much time before.
I closed my eyes and suddenly, I was there, my favorite place ever.
The familiar glowing blue forest came into view, with flowers the size of trees and blooms that filled the gorgeous sky. This world had two moons, and a ringed planet that resembled Saturn filling the northern sky. It was home to me, a place I had never shared much with Colton or Damien.
"Holy shit, is that a planet?" A familiar voice asked from behind me. I turned and nearly screamed, it was Damien.
"YOU CAME THROUGH THE PORTAL?!" I asked Damien, attracting the attention of the surrounding animals. Some butterflies flew away at my yell too.
"Oh, erm, yeah I did." Damien said sheepishly. I put my head in my hand.
"You could have died." I said to Damien.
"Well I sure as hell weren't going to wait around with my creepy ass father." Damien protested.
"Ugh, fine. But you'll have to meet the queen. She makes my power seem like a joke." I said to Damien, grabbing his hand and dragging him through the gorgeous forest.
"Wow, this place is crazy beautiful." Damien said.
"Yes and it doesn't have any natural predators, so I hope you have blood." I said to him.
"I just so happened to grab an extra pack," He winked at me. "I actually went back to my room and paced around for a couple hours, then decided to come. I have a backpack filled with blood concentrate and books. It's crazy how the time difference works." Damien said. I turned around and grabbed his backpack, he wasn't lying. He had enough blood concentrate for a year, maybe two if he paced it out.
"And a sex toy?!" I asked angrily, pulling out a small pink vibrator.
"Hey, I have to keep my girl happy." Damien said to me with a wink. I sighed.
"The Queen hates vampires." I continued, moving peacefully through the forest. Damien pushed aside and accidentally broke a twig, I winced.
"Oh yeah, another thing, everything is connected. If you hurt the animals or trees, we all feel it." I explained to him.
"Wow, so if I fuck you-" Damien began, but I turned around and gave him a death glare.
"Sorry, sorry." He said, lifting his hands up nervously.
"So as I was saying, the Queen hates vampires." I began.
"But you're a vampire." he said.
"Half a vampire." I corrected him.
"Well, I'm only a bitten. I wasn't born as the devil beast." Damien said. I thought about this for a moment.
"That's a good point, lead with that." I said, "Not the planet fucking."
We began to approach the center of the fairy world of this region. The planet had four major kingdoms, Astrid was the name of this kingdom, and where I had spent most of my time. I had also traveled to the other kingdoms once I had earned the trust of the queen during my time here.
Faries had began to travel from all parts of the forest to gather by the queens castle. A lot of people who knew me from my previous time were traveling now.
"Wow, you're famous." Damien said, waving to some of the faeries following us inside. I tried to embrace my friends while keeping the formality that I knew the queen demanded.
We walked through the gorgeous gold palace glittered with magic glowlights that the queens power provided. The faery world was much more efficient than ours back home.
"So her name is Queen Solaria, she is a boss babe. Don't cross her, she fought and lost a war as a soilder a thousand years ago, her time." I said to Damien. He looked confused but nodded anyways.
As Damien and I entered the throne room of Queen Solaria, Damien looked completely in awe at the majesty and beauty of the place. I knew he had never been to the fairy world before, and he was amazed by the bright, shimmering colors and the delicate, otherworldly atmosphere.
"Isabella, you've returned. Welcome." Queen Solaria said, I bowed deeply. I respected this woman a lot more than any vampire leader I had ever met.
"Queen Solaria, I come to you with an urgent request-" I began.
"Who is this?" She asked, her warm face transforming into anger at the sight of a vampire.
"I am Damien," he said, bowing to Queen Solaria. "I come with Isabella, as her loyal lover and protector, our friends and family are under attack, we need your help"
"An attack?" She asked.
"Yes your majesty, a compulsion spell of sorts by our own royal court." Damien said.
Queen Solaria looked at Damien with piercing, knowing eyes. "I am aware of the spell," she said, her voice laced with sorrow. "It is a grave injustice, and one that must be corrected. But breaking such a powerful spell is no small feat. It will require great strength and determination."
"Isabella is more than capable of such a task," Damien said, his voice filled with conviction. "But she needs your help. She believes that you have the knowledge and power to teach her how to break the spell."
Queen Solaria nodded gravely. "I will help her," she said. "But she must be willing to undertake a great journey, one that will test her limits and push her to the brink. Are you willing to take on such a challenge, Isabella?"
"I am," I said, stepping forward and bowing to Queen Solaria. "I will do whatever it takes to break this spell and bring justice to those who have been wronged."
"I am not sure a half vampire could complete the spell. Your magic is very weak compared to ours." The queen responded.
"Isabella, weak? She is the strongest vampire faery I've ever met. She froze time and defeated an entire army of greyskins alone" Damien said.
"Yes, you've told me that story. However vampires in high places don't play by the rules. Blood magic, dark magic, sacrifices, all can be very powerful, even for Isabella." Queen Solaria said.
"We were defeated by a nasty curse. Every vampire we killed resulted in all the humans they had fed from dying as well. It didn't harm us but it harmed our ethics, our most valuable trait. Faeries, unlike vampires, do not revel in killing innocents. It is against our way of live and our very nature." Queen Solaria said.
"I am so sorry, I was never aware of that." I said to Queen Solaria.
"The Royal Court knew we would defeat them easily so they had to play dirty. We don't harm living things, no matter what the cost." Queen Solaria said.
"I understand." Damien said, triggering Queen Solaria.
"I can see your death count Damien, don't lie. You've spent your life fighting for these so called royal Vampire wars, leading armies and watching thousands die." Queen Solaria said. Damiens temper began to boil.
"Not all of us have a peaceful realm we can escape to." Damein said.
"Not all of us are worthy of one." Queen Solaria said.
"Okay, can we maybe, go back to the life saving spell breaking?" I asked, trying to calm the large personalities in the room.
"Sure, are you willing to die?" Queen Solaria asked me.
"Yes, without a doubt." I confirmed.
"Then we will begin," Queen Solaria said, a small smile playing at the corners of her mouth. "You have much to learn, but I have faith that you will succeed. Together, we will bring an end to this terrible...self inflicted vampire injustice."
