Chapter 23

"Are you okay?"Alissya asked as she ran a hand over Steve's face as he rested in his place.

"Ahh i'm fine Your Highness,"Steve said nervously.

"Are you busy? If not, can you keep me company here? I'm a little bored,"Alissya said.

"Of course, Your Highness. Your wish is my command,"Steve said as he bowed respectfully.

Alissya smiled, then poured a cup of tea and gave it to Steve. They enjoyed their cup of tea while talking to each other. Occasionally Alissya laughed at Steve's stories, which sounded very funny.

"But why haven't you found your eyes yet?"Missya asked confused.

"I have too many duties, Your Highness. I don't have time to search for my partner's whereabouts, so i leave it to those above to organize everything,"Steve said, making Alissya smile emotionally. Missya had not expected Evan to have such a kind and cheerful accomplice. From his demeanor, she could feel the man's warmth. But Alissya felt sad again, because she couldn't talk to her dead like that.

"What are you doing here?"asked Evan, who had just arrived.

Steve immediately bowed his head respectfully. Meanwhile, Alissya answered without looking at the man.

"I asked him to come with me. Please don't scold him,"Alissya said a little scared.

Evan, hearing him, raised a crown. Then he asked Steve to leave them. Now only Alissya and Evan were left in this place. The atmosphere became very uncomfortable. Alissya, who didn't want to face Evan, immediately turned to stare at the garden.

"Why did he have to come here?"Alissya thought.

But slowly she felt a hand tighten the coat she was wearing, then hug her from behind. Alissya's heart stopped as she felt a breath touch the surface.

"You'll freeze to death if you stay out here,"Evan's whisper made Alissya flinch. "I'm not going to die,"Alissya said, making Evan smile wryly.

"Why are you posing like that?"Alissya asked to the point.

She did not want to get lost in the sweet treatment Evan was giving her. Because the first time she felt warm treatment from her partner, she had a chance to get closer to her. But all in vain, the man gave her a cold shoulder.

"Can't i hug my own eyes?"Evan asked coldly.

"I'm just not used to it,"Missya's soft voice made Evan turn his head.

Silence. Not a single sound came out of their mouths. Alissya was busy staring straight ahead, while Evan was lost in thought.

"Can i a ji ask you something?"Alissya asked quietly.

"Just ask."

Missya hesitated a little, thinking about the question in her head. Would it make Evan dislike her even more? But she couldn't hold back any longer. She wanted to know the clarity of the answer.

"Do you love me? Or are you already in love with another girl?"Alissya's question made Evan think for a while before he answered Alissya's question again. It seems like i love girls. Evan had not finished speaking, but Issya already knew exactly what the man's answer was. Just then Alissya released Evan's embrace and stepped away from the man.

"If you love another girl, why are you still asking me to stay here?"Alissya's voice was filled with sadness.

"I'll explain, you..."

Instead of listening to Evan's explanation, Alissya walked away. Her heart ached to know that her own dead loved another girl.

"So that's why he never thought well of me?"Missya whispered. Unconsciously, tears fell from the corners of the girl's eyes.

"Then why am i still here?"Alissya thought, winking at every corner of the palace. Missya also hurried out of the palace, ignoring the storm that was now raging outside.

Cellina, who was on the balcony, opened her eyes to see who had just darted out through the storm. The heavy snow made it difficult to see clearly.

"Derix, look who shot out there!"Cellina said worriedly.

Derix, hearing her, immediately looked in the direction his wife had led him. The man's eyes widened when he saw the figure of Alissya, who had left the palace so quickly.

"Nissya,"Derix exclaimed in surprise. Cellina, hearing this, immediately rounded her eyes.

"What."

"She's going to die if that's the case,"Derix said and then darted out of the palace towards the courtyard.

Cellina, who had just arrived at the courtyard, had found her husband, who had turned into a wolf. Felix, Desix's wolf, danced swiftly through the blizzard in front of him.

"Damn, we lost the trail!"Felix said.

"We must find the girl quickly,"Desix said from inside. "But this storm is too thick. Will only take our lives if we push her,"Felix growled as his vision began to fade.

"Let's go back,"Derix said when it became impossible to find Nissya alone.

Felix continued to run quickly towards the palace. There Cellina walked nervously and waited for her husband's arrival.

"How? What did you see?"Cellina asked worriedly when she saw Derix arriving and putting his clothes back on. Derix, hearing this, shook his head. Crystal, who was very confused about what had happened, immediately asked them for an explanation.

"We saw Alissya running out of the palace,"Derix said, causing Crystal to roll her eyes.

"In such a heavy snowstorm?!"Crystal said in surprise, and was immediately answered with a nod from Cellina.

Crystal didn't know what had caused her daughter in-law to leave the palace in such a storm. It occurred to her that something had happened in the relationship between her son and daughter-in-law. She was very sure that this must have happened because of her own son.

"Where is Evan?"Crystal shouted angrily. They went in after Crystal, who was already tired of going in with Ripples and calling Evan.

On the other side, Evan ruffled his hair in frustration. This wasn't what he wanted. For all he knew, he was about to break his partner's heart. But he didn't want to.

The sound of his mother's struggle came from inside, making Evan frown in confusion. Without thinking, Evan immediately rushed towards his mother. At that moment, Evan's brow furrowed as he saw everyone gathered in the living room with worried looks on their faces. Crystal, seeing her son's arrival, immediately approached Evan with an angry look on her face.

A board landed on the man's face. Cellina, seeing this, immediately closed her mouth in surprise.

"Mom! What are you doing?!"Evan shouted in surprise at his mother's treatment.

"You ask what i did, huh?"Evan was surprised again when he heard his mother's words. Never before had his mother been so angry with her own son.

"You have no heart at all! I'm so ashamed to have a son like you!"Crystal cried, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"I don't understand what you're saying Mom, what did i do wrong?!"Evan growled.

"What is your fault? I'll tell you,"everyone immediately gathered in the middle of the room as they heard the clash between mother and son. The palace servants even feigned fear, not daring to look at the scene in front of them.

Xavier, who had just arrived, immediately approached his wife and rubbed her shoulder. He tried to calm Crystal down and get her away from Evan. But Crystal didn't want to leave the place. Her eyes were still on Evan, wondering where she was.

"Do you want to know what your mistake was? Your mistake was hurting your own mate! The woman the moon goddess gave you! You managed to make that poor girl suffer! You made her face her own death out there."

"What do you mean Mom?"Evan asked confused.

"I saw her leave the palace. Derix tried to look for her, but it was snowing so hard. So we couldn't see him,"Suddenly, Evan rounded his eyes as he heard Cellina's explanation.

"You want to know what your fault is? Your fault is that you hurt your own partner! The woman given to you by the Moon Goddess! You managed to make this poor girl suffer! You made her face her own death outside of Sanal."

"What do you mean Mom?"Evan asked confused.

"I saw her leave the palace. Derix tried to look for her, but it was snowing so hard. So we couldn't see him,"Suddenly, Evan's eyes widened as he heard Cellina's explanation. At that moment, Evan's eyes darkened. The other side of him had taken over the man's body. Evan moved so fast that he broke the blizzard outside. Any snow he stepped on melted instantly due to the heat emanating from the man's body.

Everyone shouted at Evan to come back, but the man continued to dash away from the palace and into the forest in front of him. Hoping to find his dead soon.
